...So the PS3 uses the PSP dashboard? Hmmm, I dunno about that one. Not to say that it doesnt work or anything, but I didnt care all that much for it, but of course, thats just me.

It's easier to navigate than the 360 Dashboard, at least that has been my experience.

Plus the functionality seems to be superior over the 360 as well, offering multiple user support, an array of settings, and online browser support (with mouse and keyboard being functional out of the box).

Sounds very good to me.

For some reason, even though it was stated a BUNCH of times that you could surf the net on your PS3, that didn't really hit me until Kenji posted that. Heck, mousing around on a big HDTV sounds like the coolest thing ever!

You could, but then it would be called a PC.

...Funny that they don't have that capability built into the 360, comming from Microsoft and all. I presume that they assume that most people who own 360s have a computer, thus the internet, and would rather surf the next with the PC. But, it seems like it could work on the 360, but I'm not an expert in the field, so I guess I really don't know...

Well, look at it like this.

You're playing a game, and your PS3 is hooked up to your network. Mid game, you decide you need to check a walk through. You can simply call up the Menu, load the browswer, visit the walkthrough online, and then go back to your game, without having to visit your computer etc. Seems much more..."effecient" to me.

Not only that, think about getting your vid (presuming that the roumers of the PS3 being able to capture video of games) or even pics from GT5, then instead of either sticking them on usb or sending them via wirless to your pc then uploading them to a site then posting them on here (GTP), when you can do it all from one place without any other messing, now that seems like a dream. cant wait.

According to some guy who has just pre-ordered his PS3 at gamestation in the UK, he says they told him that the 20gb version isn't coming to the UK at all, wow Do sony think the brits are rolling in it? lol cant wait £20 to sucure a PS3

Oh, that Gamestation guy is probably full of crap. I wouldn't go by what a game store employee said to you at all. Wait for Sony to say something about which models are coming to Europe.

Yeh the lack of UK 20gb versions was posted on another forum, not my personal experiance, but I agree, and yeh I will wait to see, but I will be getting the 60gb version anyway.

I tell ya, that video she loads on the PS3 off the Hard drive is in HD and loads up very quickly indeed, Im very impressed with the speed of it, apart from the web, but she says its slow because of development.

I secured myself a PS3 at my local game store and they didnt seem to know that there was even going to be a HD option. They called me to confirm my order and will contact me again in the future when they know what lanch games there will be so they can make me up a game and ps3 bundle.

Sony has yet to decide whether it will bring the 20GB PS3 to UK or other European countries when it launches the PS2 successor on 17 November.

In response to claims by high street retailer gamestation that only the more expensive 60GB version would be available, Sony issued this statement to GamesRadar:

"Following our announcements at E3, all sales teams are currently liaising with retailers/buyers to discuss projections and consumer demands for both the 20GB/60GB configurations of PlayStation 3."

So, if retailers believe there won't be any significant demand for the 20GB version, it's likely that Sony will only supply the 60GB package, which is currently being tagged at the still unconfirmed price of £425.

Japan has it worse than anyone esle. the 20GB version is 59,000yen but the 60GB's price is to be set by the retailer(ouch). i've aleady started my $600 PS3 savings fund with $27 and counting. But I'll be making $600 a week over the summer so it wont hurt my mazdaspeed 3 savings($733).

You know they should really name them something... like 360 core and premium.....not oh ps3 20gb ps3 60gb...... :lol:

Im glad the price is set in the uk..... In Japan the retailers are probably going to set it stupidly high!

I think it looks ace..... really grown up and logically thought out..... I cant get over how professional it looked..... sony could to opperating systems for computers..... already look at the special stuff vaios have like the motion clock thing......
