Clan members are just random names that mean nothing to you, rather than being real people, or having any real purpose.

But it's a pointless touch. Not to mention it being a feature that brought instability to the game.

You complain that the names mean nothing to you but linking it to Facebook so the names do mean something to you is a pointless feature? I think it adds a a little bit of emotion to it, not a huge amount, but I'm not sure how they could make you care about dots on a map more though. I thought it was funny when it told me my best friend who was playing with me is thinking about eating a cat.

But anyways yeah, I disagree with you, it has some issues and it's not perfect but I've never played a multiplayer that was close to perfect. They also haven't had a chance to update it yet but it's not like it's a broken game. I could see how it's not for everyone though.

The first part of your post was exactly why I posted the fb thing, the argument didn't really make any sense haha .

names of people I know in real life doesn't mean anything. They're still just names. They don't have an actual purpose in the game.

On a completely different note.

When playing as Ellie, try going through her backpack. Some very interesting back story hidden there in the Artifacts tab.

The MP is a breath of fresh air compared to the other games I play online, Gears and BF3. It's nice to actually have to think about your next mode of attack, rather than just: See enemy, right trigger, see enemy, right trigger, repeat 30x.

Successfully flanking someone is also 10x more rewarding than other shooters. Once you sneak up on someone in cover, and they have no idea you're there, that's when it gets exciting. Take your time, line up the headshot, double tap. Most of the time I find myself in situations like this with only 3 rounds left, so if you get it wrong, you're dead. 👍

* SPOILER *

I did that (spoiler) some of the quotes she says when you're hovering over them.

Yeah, and no-one jumping the whole time online - always thought that looked idiotic.

See enemy, right trigger, see enemy, right trigger, repeat 30x
I had to smile on reading that, reminded me of Bulletstorm's promotion trailer:

I might actually give this MP a go.

Finally finished it today...

Absolutely amazing! very few games live up to a trailer or indeed the hype but this did, haven't enjoyed a single player mode so much since Resident evil 4.

Amazing graphics, great gameplay, beautiful scenarios and a story with characters that i actually felt like i cared about, the story is as brilliantly told as all reviews said.

Can't praise this game enough, the only bad thing about it is when the credits roll and you realise it's over....

Now to try multiplayer and wait for some dlc

The Last of us cover render, done by a NaughtyDog employee:

All that picture reminds me of is the
Snow Blizzard part.

Man that was incredibly annoying to try and do with like 1 round and 2 bows.

I barely killed anyone there. It greatly supports stealth tacticts in that part.

I was surprised by how close I could get to them without being noticed.

Just finished my 2nd playthrough (on Survivor) with this masterpiece. If you can sneak really well and manage your resources wisely, it really isn't that difficult. I also managed to see some artifacts that I didn't in the first playthrough, notably Riley's pendant and Marlene's letter to Anna, Ellie's mom. It really added much more emotional weight :(

After the single player DLC comes out, I'll start my Survivor+ run and finally earn that platinum.

BTW, multiplayer is loads of fun. Those "100% population risks" are pretty insane.

Is it just me or is the only difference in higher difficulties that you have less resources avalaible? The infected don't seem to be stronger at all.
I'm not too sure though.

I'm on the second playthrough and the game is much easier now since I'm getting used to it, although I play on survival.

I know! It gets extremely tense and exciting when everyone in the room has a mic.

I am on my 5th playthrough, got one final gold trophy to get (upgrade all weapons) and then on to multiplayer trophies ! . Love this game ! .

I hate on line trophies but i want to have full 100% in this game. So i had to suffer a bit. Once i finish off line play through.

I've noticed that I'm using maybe wrong strategy here, first i had to do on line trophies while on line lobbies are not full with pro players tormenting us/me noob player's :sly:

Though I've read somewhere that they do slightly higher damage, the difference is pretty negligible if you sneak 90% of the time. The only noticeable difference from Hard really is the lack of resources and the total absence of listen mode.

I have a friend who has played a few nights without any players using a mic and he reported that this works well too, assuming the players are equally co-op minded.

Players seem to stick together and help with healing. For me that is good as I can't use a mic due to the time-frame I play in (at night with the rest of the household asleep.) No mics also might make for more immersive gameplay too.

My playthrough on Normal, collecting almost exactly half of the collectibles took me 12 hours and 50 minutes. What difficulty did you play on?

I beat the game first time in around 11-12 hours on normal, my survivor diff. playthrough took 13 hours and I did practically everything, collectibles, conversations, shiv doors, scavenging the whole playing area, I don't understand these 18+ hour times, unless you were very very slow or left the game running while you went out of something.

I did 20 hours, i take my time to learn enemies patch, to walk into every room, look closely to beautiful views. Kill most of enemies using stealth. Read every piece of paper i could find.

First one Was a great play-through.
I'm on course to do at least 20 hours. I'm very cautious when it comes to learning enemies' paths and exploring for stuff. Like in real life, when there's no threat I take my time to look at the scenery and search for items.

The trophy description says it all - complete both faction journeys and build your clan to a certain number.

How do you get the gold multiplayer trophies? Like what do you have to do, survive a certain amount of time?

Your clan has to survive twelve full weeks with at least one member alive at the end. Each week there are missions with a chance of gaining a certain percentage of clan members or, every so often, losing up to 100% of you clan if you don't obtain your goal. It is wise to save easy missions like down a certain number of enemies or heal teammates for those 100% risk missions. Missions scale as you choose them so it becomes harder to acheive if you select the same one multiple times. You can make it easier on your self by getting used to using multiple weapons and load outs. The 12th week has two 100% risk missions making it the hardest week to get through. You will always lose a percentage of your population in those risk missions. If you choose wisely it isn't that difficult to reach the end but you can definitely make it very hard on your self if you choose poorly.

Ok thanks, that's what I thought.

I've known about the missions, I kinda shot myself in the foot doing the easy ones on stupid missions. I think I'm currently on week 8.

Patch 1.02 totally screw multi-player by If you disconnect or lose connection to the host, you will no longer advance a clan day. You will only advance a day if you are kicked from the match, or exit through the menu What a load of :odd: :banghead:

Ehh this might take longer time to platinum for me. 👎
