What didn't happen is the real question.

@Rexuz Sorry again. The curb I was on pulled my car hard left and I countered it. Then when I got back on track I was still turning right and that's when I hit you like a World's Wildest Police Video. I guess the curbs are painted with super glue.

@Football67611 At the end of my video I wasn't trying to dive bomb you. I was trying to avoid hitting you.

No worries m8! I knew you were going past me on the left and that I had given you enough room so I thought it was the good old velcro effect doing it's job again.
You do owe me some new underwear tho. :)

@Football67611 I didn't know Space shuttle Discovery were on the list of vehicles to drive in this series.
Your speed on the back straight was complete madness.
I could be seconds ahead and getting the best of exits out of that hairpin and you would still fly pass me if you didn't brake before the quick right hander as you did.
I had to brake as late as I could and keep the inside line and that's what made me run wide eventually, seen in Oz's vid.

Race 1

Started with the exciting bug that gives you a random gear at start... Had to dodge @McKiernan turn 3 (scary!). Then had some good battle with Kiernan and @Gavin Vickers but his car being setted for super fast and my lack of brake control meant i couldn't find the small edge to pass. @ozwheels was catching up after his difficulties twice and inserted himself in the battle. I left him through as he was transparent in hope i would get a better chance to pass vic... No way :D

Race ends with a great battle with Vic and a photofinish end. (strongly suggest to watch the whole video)

Race 2

After a bit of turn 1 issues, i found out that my pace was stable but i had too much DF, so i just had a race as clean as possible away from the walls in hope to colect something from others crashing or DC :D @weisda3 car's the wrong way uphill on the rain was something that makes you heart accelerate until the final straight :D Then i made a stupid mistake, Kiernan passed me and i couldn't catch back even if i was running more or less the same times... And losing over 1 second in straights.

All in all i had no chances so i racketed the most i could.

Welcome fellow racers!

I am organising a GT3 championship starting next month (Sept 27th), running weekly races on a Sunday at 20:00 BST/15:00 EST. There are two races which clash with the F1 on 25th Oct (USA F1 GP) and 01st Nov (Mexico F1 GP) and will start at 21:00 GMT/16:00 EST/17:00 EDT (US Daylight saving starts), in order to start after the race has finished.

Race Format

2 Rooms of 16 drivers, 3 if enough people sign up - points system will be re-worked accordingly if this is the case.
Points will be spread across the 2 rooms (see point scoring below). The series will operate promotions/relegations of last 4 finishers in room 1 going down, first 4 finishers in room 2 moving to room one for the next race. Points for 16th in room 1 and 1st in room 2 will overlap (ie both 21 points)
NEW: From round 6 onwards, driver promotion/relegations will be 3 drivers, not 4. This will help streamline room performance.

Races will currently be run in two legs, with each race lasting approximately 30 minutes, with 15 minute qualifying for each race. The promotion/relegation for each round will be calculated from the lowest/highest combined scores for the two races, with lowest 4 scores in room 1 going down for the next race, highest 4 in room 2 going up.

Initial Room Placement Qualifying [COMPLETED]

This will be carried out the Sunday 13th the week prior to the start, and will be held in several slots through the day (this can be arranged later).
Car for qualifying will be the M3 GT around Spa, as this is a track I am sure everyone knows fairly well. Weather set to Clear, time 14:00, aids as per series rules.

Top 16 will be in room 1 for race 1, 17-32 wil be in room 2. Drivers falling outside these places will be reserve drivers, being called up in respective qualifying order.
If drivers are unable to make a race and arrange prior to race day, they will be allowed to rejoin the same room the following week, if they are unable to make more than two races in a row, they will move to reserve spot no 1 for the following race.

For example, driver in 5th in room one is away for one weekend. Drivers below this position (6th onwards) move up to fill the position for that race, with a reserve driver moving into Room2, the top driver in room 2 moves up to room 1 for that race. In this instance, the following race 5 drivers will move to room 2 (4 + an additional driver to account for the previous move up). This will maintain two full rooms of similarly paced drivers at all times. Based on previous series, reserves will get plenty of races, as there is seldom a full grid, due to peoples commitments.

Scoring

The championship will consist of 12 races, with best 10 scores counting. If there are two rooms running points will be as below, if there is more interest allowing 3 rooms, points will be adjusted to account for this. Currently points will be as follows.

Room 1__Room 2

1st--40___1st--21
2nd--37___2nd-18

Weather
Weather will be determined based on an online forecast 5 days before the race day. We will be using http://www.myweather2.com/ forecast. Whatever is forecast 5 days before the event will be the weather (even if the real weather turns out to be different on the day). This will allow practice with race conditions prior to the race.

The idea behind this series is to have rooms with similar paced drivers in, creating great CLEAN racing at all levels, with everyone having someone to race closely with, whatever room they are in. The main aim is fun at first, clean racing, a little banter and good structured practicing through the week for the next track in the series.

This is an initial draft and may be subject to minor changes, but the basis is here. I hope to be racing against many of you in September! Feel free to tag people who may be interested and spread the word. Ideally we will have committed drivers who will make the majority of races, racing cleanly with each other around some great world tracks.

If you are interested please put your name down with PSN ID and send me a friend request, you will be put on the entry list for the series.

Driving conduct and penalties.
Drivers are expected to drive fairly and avoid contact. If a position is gained by hitting a driver, you MUST wait unti that driver is back up to speed before attempting a pass.
Driving behaviour should be in line with any real world series and as similar penalties will be applied for misconduct (subject to stewards review). Persistent penalties will result in exclusion, if advice on driving behaviour is not listened to.

We want clean racing, it is no fun being invloved in an incident, being the cause or effect!

Please all drivers make sure you save your replay if you can, it will help in regard to incidents, involvement or not. If people can try their best to get screen shots at the end of each session, that would help greatly in the adminsitration, just in case I miss one!
Hi m8 iv singed up now just letting us know, it's welshyAKAbadboy

Seems patch 6.0 is out and along with host kick we got timed races!

Are we going for 30 mins instead of laps from now on Mr. @Skaankypuppy ?

Also it seems the way tires work and get overheated is changed... I wonder if aliens will be less aliens since it seems it rewards less extreme driving and tuning...

It is all about being smooth Karsten, so may increase the gap?

I'll see how it pans out, but will most probably keep the laps for this season, as we are only a handful of races before the end.

I will update the spreadsheet shortly, as I forgot to send a message witht he times for room 1, so I have not been able to access the results in order to process whilst at work.

Wow the car was so bad in the dry it was a nightmare.

Managed 2.04.0 in practice but for some reason only 2.05.7 in the qualy and couldn't get under 2.07.0 during the race.
The car turned into a dog and was so hard to drive it was unbelievable.
No clue what had changed but the car was sliding all over the place.

In the wet I knew I would have no chance at all as the car was even worse in rain, spinning in every corner.
During qualy I tried the full wets which made the car so much more stable and thought I was picking the winning strategy here as I heard many others where using inters and were struggling.

Literally 30 secs later I hear @Skaankypuppy saying he's gonna go for the rain tires and I went "Damn you Paaaapaaa" in my mind.
Got quite a good start and managed to sneak pass a few and then chased Skaanky for half the race before he did a small mistake and I got passed.

Too bad about the DC in the first race @Over Active. Your race weekend would have been flawless otherwise.
A quick shoutout to many others who drove really well I thought; @Football67611, @weisda3, @DropBuckets.

I had Z4 aswell your completely right car felt good in practice and qualifying then quite awful come race. It doesn't half bounce around alot lol. It was a good midfield battle in race 1, props to all very clean. Wouldn't know much about race 2 as I spun about 25 times.

Weather is up for next week. Light Cloud/Overcast - 14 laps See link to 1st page post for more details.

I have updated the scores, but will post them later, for reference they are here!

I had a few good races in those last two, Racing with McGerty in race one, he was going away in all fairness, but got disconnected on the mountain, I did not see him and had to take evasive action and ended up hitting the front of his car as I went past, but managed to hold on to take my 1st win!

Race 2 I got hit by McGerty's glitch, even after him warning me not to get too close....I said I'll risk it and......Boooooooom! I lost pace after that suffering damage, but brought it home in 4th, could have been so much more.

Less carnage than I was expecting, good effort everyone.

Peace and love people :cheers::gtpflag:

No downforce and low ride height 2:04's.
Can't see how it is possible on m3 without abs, but i guess i should work on tuning for the difference is pretty huge as usual :D

can i hope you have severe tires issues? ;) I think i should watch some replays to see what i do wrong, but it seems i still have the too low tops speed issue >_>

Did you have damage when I passed you at Bathurst?

What is a decent Road America laptime? It's completely new to me as a track and i'm getting 2.10s at best...

Why don't you just look at the times in Time Trial mode each week to get an idea of the faster times?

Been playing tonight with my mates online, and the game is still pretty glitchy, with disconnects, and myself the PS4 crashed mid race. The game should be getting more stable by now, but we continue with the same, old same old......

Did you have damage when I passed you at Bathurst?
No damages i had a 100% clean race as far as i remember. I did let you through easily for it was stupid to fight one with your pace...

But still no matter how low i set car how little DF i use i still am too slow on straights... Maybe it's gearing?

You should put your telemetry up and make sure your getting 100% throttle out of your pedals. I passed you on the straight in a Z4 which is hard to believe. There's definitely something going on. Do you mind posting your tune and gear ratios?

i will tomorrow, i'm sure the accelerator is 100% pressed by watching telemetry... This thing is killing me since first races; i've never had top speed on par with anyone else no matter what i tried to do.

Your brake ducts and radiator too please.

Maybe you should recalibrate your pedals.

I had internet problems sunday and kept getting kicked off. So instead of messing anybodys race up, I pulled out. It wasnt PSN it was my internet provider. Sorry guys. I kept asking for a invite and as soon as i would join, It would kick me off again.
