Well PS4 Pro sounds better than PS4 Forever....
So much for only appealing to those with 4K TVs. Clearly they're trying to market it to the 1080p market as well.
My thoughts exactly.Hasn't Activision man just revealed the Pro will be out by the time COD is out?

There are so many non HDR 1080p TV's out there they wouldn't shoot themselves in the foot like that. Even the PS4 supported SD resolution so it will be a while before we see 4K only consoles.
But people who already have one don't need to. I have a 1080p TV, most games reach that, so someone like me has absolutely no need to buy a neo. I think this seems to have really gotten under people's skins but actually it's just a non issue really. Ok so some games might have slightly more stable frame rates, great. The main benefit will be 4K, they haven't spoken much about it because it is a given, the name says it all. Sony have said in the document leaks that games must target at least 1080p and that the frame rates must be the same, or better on the neo. Given most people can't distinguish above a certain fps anyway it's a non issue.
4K is the way forward and this is just sony giving 4K TV owners a reason to own one.
4K HDR Video / 4k Blu-Ray
Upscale games to 4K, super basic ones will run native.
Many games will be able to run 1080p and native 120fps for VR.
Called Playstation 4 Ultra
November 2016 release
$399
Visually, it will look like two PS4 Slims stacked on top of each other
Apart from twice the graphical power of course.
It looks like a black club sandwich.
I can live with that price. Expected it to be more.
Premier league football on my 4K tv looks appreciable better when I view the UHD feed compared to the HD feed.Which would be impressive except we've reached a point where every noticeable increase in graphical fidelity requires an increasingly significant increase in GPU power. Games already look brilliant, and HDR is the only feature that can seriously up it further. Unless you have a massive flat screen TV or a projector, and you actually sit reasonably close to it, the added resolution means nothing.
My predictions
2017 release
Few games will be 4K (native or not)
Will show something from ND,GG,R* and EA.
399$
will be called PS4 X
Same design language as PS4
Will come in white day one
VR games will run at 90> FPS rather than 60>
