Yeah, I'm sorry about that! I had enough time to change into a decent shirt and change shoes and go! I was looking forward to Indy a lot!

anyways, love the new transmission regs for Indy, able to pass people, looking forward to the race next week, good job Tom, should be an epic season!

Kartman for championship now :sly:

Our chances of grabbing the constructors may have just taken a severe knock. Ah well, still got a drivers championship to defend.

Yes, Spurgy just realized he was using 200 less HP and 100 extra KG when he won at Laguna Seca.

Spurgy do use adjust the ballast on your car or no

I did for Indy quali thinking it was a NASCAR, and I couldn't do a lap without spinning  but I switched to my actual tune for the race which has it in the middle. :)

The car was an alien to me at Indy and Monaco, used to running the full settings, and it requires so much more to make the turns at Indy.

It did make the race more competitive, but even the slightest damage the wrong way can make the race even worse. I still haven't adjusted to the aids for the road/street courses, but I'm starting to get a hang of them.

Just to be sure I read this correctly. Friday at 6pm est is when things get going?

If so. I'm interested. This time slot is very doable for me.

I think we may have an opening since Litchi is having issues making his racing series, Owens.

And yes, 6:30pm is green flag mate 👍

I've made a definite decision that this will be the final season of IndyCar I will host; I'll be vacating my post as IndyCar Race Director in the new year after S3 comes to a close. We've had some awesome races over the past year, had a laugh, some banter and I've met some awesome guys through it so it's something I'm glad I started back in September '11 with Knelly and Joe. I've got to a point where at the end of this season I'm going to have even less free time than ever with my GCSE exams fast approaching and I don't want to continue with this if I can't give it 100% for you guys.

On top of that, with the less free time I'll have, I want to concentrate on progressing in the GTP Sprint Cup and starting my IndyCar career on iRacing. I have no doubt that a lot of the guys here (Joe, Knelly, Matty, Cowboys, Smuffy, Indy, Sam, Fraiser to name a few) will keep this league running for a long time after I leave, which is great as I feel like we've set a good groundwork for this series in the last 12 months which would be a shame to waste.

It's been a pleasure racing with you all, you're all complete legends in my book. Let's make this season the best yet 👍

Tom

:( Don't leave us...

Also, iRacing is fun but annoying. Like now, I won't be able to race until Tuesday I think as I keep having failed credential checks and they normally go away then.

I think it's time, I was considering it earlier this year but was unsure; now I'm completely certain. This season will be fun at least, hope I can bow out with a decent run.

I'm sure you guys will do brilliantly when you take over anyway.

Nice Indy, would be awesome to start a GTP team.

I would too, but I will have to wait until Christmas to get it.

Planning on making a rig next summer.

Fixed :sly:

After the update the FGTs are now a whole second faster around Indy, I hit 234 with Real Grip Setting.

OwensRacing will be joining the series and I'm happy to add another experienced driver to our roster. Jeff may miss tomorrow but can make the rest of the season and will most likely be taking Litchi's spot as he's responded to none of my messages (sure he's busy at the moment), so welcome to the fold mate 👍

EDIT: Qualifying times at Indy after 2.08 are about a second quicker than before, after I'd got into the groove I was hitting around the 39.4 mark as opposed to my pole position time of 40.301(?) from last Friday.

Anyone be on tonight for some testing?

Also is it possible to get a base line tune to work with?

The teams are on the OP already mate, I'll slot you into Litchi's team in his place most probably. By sponsor I mean just a random company, maybe one that matches the colour of your car (e.g: mine's Target and I'm in the red #10 car) 👍

All the specs are on the first page and all you need to know really for tuning is take off all the aero and keep things simple; tunes for Indy in FGT's don't tend to be complicated.
