Would the 3 car teams take the top finishing places of 2 drivers to make it fair?

It really is Frasier, i'm gonna find it tricky keeping up with just Trucks, Indy and the Cup considering how little time I have free.

ALMS is pretty established already, think Cowboys is involved with it

I'd like to see Nurburgring GP/D on the schedule as it is a similar track to Watkins Glen, and Spa as a similar track to Road America.

and also different specs for oval tracks that are run multiple times, like 650hp for the first Indy and Motegi races then 850hp for the Indy 500 and World Championship. Something like that, or different weights or different tires, whatever works.

also Motegi road course, sure it is boring and has no flow but that makes it similar to a lot of street circuits in IndyCar with its point and shoot nature plus the indycars raced there once IRL.

Spa is terrible in these cars. No Nurburgring please...

I may get the draft started in this thread when you're all ready so I can just put the thread up with the drivers straight away when I have the time.

I think this is a good layout....

Ganassi - 3 cars
Penske - 3 cars
KV - 3 cars
? - 2 cars
? - 2 cars
? - 2 cars

The alternative is giving Ganassi another car and dropping a 2 team but I think that may be an unpopular idea

Penske - 3 Silver/Black
KV - 3 Green/Yellow
Rahal Letterman Racing - 2 Blue/Black
AJ Foyt Enterprises - 2 Blue/White
Dale Coyne - 2 ?



Found a list of possible teams, which are the real Iife teams.

We could have... AJ Foyt Enterprises, Rahal-Letterman Racing, and Dale Coyne?

I can't lie, didn't have very fond memories of our pre-season test at Spa. Schedule ideas are welcome though, few certs...

-Indy 500, duh.
-Brickyard 200
-World Championship 300 @ Motegi
-Monterey 200 miler? @ Laguna Seca
-Daytona Twin 100's
-Motegi Road 100 or 150
-1-2 extra Motegi rounds of probably 200ish miles

Possibilities:

-Indy Road (very good racing last time)
-Madrid (fun, fun, fun but unpopular)
-Rome (rough surface mimics real Indy street tracks)
-Tokyo (a staple of our series, good racing)
(leaning towards 2 of the 3 street tracks included)
-HSR *vomits*

EDIT: Team names sound good Cowboys but remember we're having no set colours this time around.

Well none of the team cars IRL are the same colour so it makes sense really.

Isn't Dario driving a blue-ish car today? He uses a different scheme every other week

EDIT: Oh and you'll have to pick a 'sponsor' for your car that ideally should relate to it's colour. This is mainly for me to use in GTP America blog articles to make it sound cooler and more realistic So my red Ganassi car from last season would be sponsored by Target but if i'd had a yellow car I may have picked DHL or Shell as a sponsor. Might do numbers as well but i'm not sure.

Hmm... it seems Penske will have to be mine. I wanted to be in Ganassi - right time to farm lvl 24 tickets!!!

Couple team idea's from going back (especially for smaller teams and independents)

Lucszo Dragon Racing, Cheever Racing, and of course Newman-Haas racing.

I'm unlikely to do this, not the biggest FGT fan and probably will be running a 3rd sportscar season, but there's enough interest in both for them to both thrive.

These are our core drivers in finishing order from last season, after Kartman it'll be first come first served for any new drivers if team owner slots remain.

You can take a team or pass and join another team if you can make an agreement with a team owner. If you take a team it's your responsibility to recruit drivers to fill your team. All team info etc. is on the OP.

He told me setup woes were the reason he had a bad time of road courses last season so I can help him out there hopefully. He'll be running a full schedule to my knowledge.

I haven't seen a post on that thread in days.. And not as annoyed at the fact that were not on the same team but that I had no clue that the draft had started...
