Alarm picked the worst day to not go off...

Sorry guys :/

EDIT: According to my mom, my alarm *did* go off, I just turned it off and went back to sleep right away. I don't even remember doing that. :(

EDIT: MSP sweep of the top 5.

I'm furious with myself for doing so badly... I crashed 3 times, each time my fault. :banghead:

My first crash was on lap 13 or so, when somehow I got confused and misjudged my speed, slamming into the wall just after the 2nd split marker. My second was just after lozza came out of the pits, we were side-by-side going through the first corner, only for me to mess up the exit and hit the outside wall. My final crash was while running alone, already demotivated after crashing twice, I slammed into the same wall at the first corner. I spent the rest of the race in tony1311's draft, in case anyone else also crashed for the third time or disconnected.

Still, at least I got points for 14th place. I could have lost connection early on and got nothing at all.

Congrat's to J-town pulling out a Grand Chelem! Pole, fastest lap, and the win!

Great race guys! The worst is over, you can rest easy, this was definitely a crucible haha.

Great attitude 👍

@Mule
Thanks a lot for posting the results!

Well done TOMZON

This track and me don't like each other. I can't seem to stay off the wall for any period of time. About five laps and kiss! Having less then 10 laps total practice doesn't help either. Shall be ready next week as I plan to dedicate a good chunk of time for prep.

Still happy to run 36.8's with minimal time invested.

No, actually, it's whatever you want since you're on reserve.

a little gutted with my result but i made a decent recovery , had 3rd place in the bag and hit the wall on lap 33 i think, had to pit and came out 9th managed to get back to 6th with the fresh tires .

I look forward to the next race should be even better than tokyo.

Well done to the podium guys .

First I want to thank the officials for support and the "ownesracing" for great lobby handling!

The MSP-CREW are happy with races and results!

We look forward to the next races and wish all a nice week :D

Turned out an ok race for me, had to learn about the draft the hard way though . I've only myself to blame for that really. At start it felt horrible to drive and took less than a lap to get damage car just under-steered and ended up in wall :P. Kept going for a lap but was burning up rubber and losing places fast so pitted lap 3 I think and came out dead last about 50 odd secs behind leader.
After that managed to work my way back into the race the best I could and picked off about 3 or 4 guys before I had to pit, then came out all guns blazing and you guess it got damage spent about 15 laps with left front damaged and surprisingly done a 1'36.6 only .1 short of my faster lap lol and got myself into 8th.

Congrats to J-Town for D1 win and to all the MSP drivers who locked out the grid especially TOMZON who won D2 and JUJU who lead and got Fastest lap I think. Well done to my team mates 👍 except carra .

I've only see bits of our replay but cam_from_nj your where about an whisker away from taking out JUJU when he was leading your extremely lucky he slowed down to avoid you. Parallel Parking across a race track isn't advised, I probably made this sound worse than it was but still I'm sure there was a few drivers happy to see you retire.

See you all next week :D

Bad race for me, got front left damage after 2 laps after clipping a kerb and tapping a wall, so kept that until lap 18 because it was only losing me tenths a lap so wasn't worth pitting. Then, as soon as I come out of the pit I clip my rear end on the wall on the exit of turn 1 giving me damage for the rest of the race. After that it looked like I could probably hold onto 8th and maybe even catch 6th and 7th, but then my pedals came unplugged and I lost even more time, so I was lucky to get 9th tbh.

Although on the plus side, had a great battle in the first stint whilst I was creating a train behind me :D

tony P2... rich P5, eddie at the back... this is interesting. :embarrassed:
As I mentioned yesterday, whoever had the pole had a huge advantage of having clean air. With me, Eddie and Tony having to deal with the draft, we were stuck in our relative positions for much of the race.

My day turned out better than expected, though. The aero push really threw me off from the S curves all the way to start-finish so I couldn't mount a charge down the straight. I came in for tires at the right time as I came in by myself and went back on track where I could run full-out without having to battle anyone.

I went from 11th all the way to 5th although I believe I only passed one car on track. Think someone up front got damage and others waited too long to pit.

Oh, and I somehow ran out of gas a few hundred feet from start-finish even though I added more than the recommended amount of fuel.

Really enjoyable race tonight! Awesome to race with so many great racers. First stint was great fun, some really tight racing in the midfield! Luckily after a lot of trying I managed to get a few overtakes in and pull away from the pack. Had good pace towards the end of the first stint, managed to close the gap to nissman in 4th place, we had a good battle after our pitstops, but then i got damage from hitting a barrier on lap 30, silly mistake. After that just had to settle down and get the car home. Was happy to get 4th after starting 8th! Looking forward to Monza now!

Do you guys respect the yellow line rule here for this series? I kept it tight at my pit stops but noticed no else seemed to pay any mind too it.

Took damage from my teammate of all people and fell back to last place, but I ended up fighting back to 11th position overall and placing ahead of my teammate still so no huss, no cuss. Sucks tho since I had made it to P11 already within a couple of turns of the 1st lap.

I'm sure I will focus more on race pace and consistency before all out lap speed. I'll make sure my Teammate does the same too! 👍's Up Tyson!

No, we used to respect pit lane lines for a long time until I realized how silly it is. People don't need lines to keep safe, you can all use your heads in determining when it's safe to jump out onto the racing line. This goes for all tracks, on pit in and exit. It's more fun to try and figure out the best way to dive into the pits anyway. Gauntlets are off for this series, the quality of the drivers keeps things in check.

Sorry about that. I spun and crashed there and thought I'd sit still and wait for the pack to pass instead of trying to k turn my way out in the middle of the track

I did a fine job crashing into the wall and almost taking 2 guys out of the race with way too much oversteer.

I did a last minute setup change, it was faster (well for me ) but at low speeds it had stupid amounts of oversteer, and shifting into 3rd felt like 1st gear. My wheel is developing a dead zone in the FFB so it makes it really sketchy.

Still when I was racing it was fun.

Yeah everyone makes mistake me more so than anyone and you probably did do the right thing by staying still, although looked like the other guy was expecting you to move off the racing line which caused the confusion/near miss. I'm sure your a good driver but It looked like you had alot of damage during the race (not seen all of replay). It was really a wee dig to make you practice more, so you don't find your self in the same postion next week. Although I've probably just jinxed myself and I'll end up doing it next week
Was only joking carra cause you retired, didn't realise you had so many issues :P, with your wheel I mean

Not my best of weekends. After a mediocre qual I found a better set-up in the warmup so I was looking forward to the race.

In the first corner on lap 1 the car in front came to an abrupt halt, light touch giving me a little damage. Planned to hang in there at the end, do an early stop and take it from there. On Lap 9 I misjudged breaking into T1, and to avoid hitting Wardez I steered into the left wall and came to a standstill. More damage. Did a pitstop and aimed for a long 30 lap stint. All went well until on lap 22, in the long right hand sweeper the car in front hit an outside post, jumped into the middle of the track in front of me. Not his fault, **** happens. Fatal damage and had to pit again. Then just drove to the end.

Superb performance by MSP_Jtown. This is an increadably strong field. Pace was very even throughout most of D1. And there are many very strong drivers who raced in D2. Don't expect to do that well at Monza. Of the seven tracks, Tokyo and Monza are not on my personal top list. But after that, its all great.
