Dennis,

One of my biggest pet peeves is when a person quits a race because something didn't go their way, say for instance a spin or wreck. Most people say it's because they were running in the back of the pack by themselves and they had better things to do. I think that is horse excrement. You signed up to participate in a full race and just because you aren't running where you want doesn't mean you just quit. Is this something you and the series will look down upon? If so, are there going to be any repercussions for quitting a race midway through without a legitimate reason?

OH! Could someone who raced in Race 2 this last weekend help me out with what cars people drowe?

I think the Z is competitive at 1150kg with others but not with the NSX at Spa.
I'm a pad driver so the easier cars to drive for me are the Z and the Catrol Supra. I'd like to take the Supra on Seca for test this car but I'd like to take the Z too to see the difference between Spa and Seca... Hard choice.

The core aspect of the series is dedication to the cause of the series. That means contributing, staying in touch and on the same page, letting us know when you can't make a race in advance, and respect. Rage quitting during the regular season isn't only looked down upon, it's tantamount to resigning the series. If you're gonna let temper get the best of you, that little action of pushing start and selecting exit turns the yes button into a "I would like to be excluded from the series."

This! 👍

Answer is: yes!

I thought it was out of the question among these guys, but in race 1, a lot of drivers did.
I do know that the start was a mess and all, but still.
Anyway, since the race started the way it did, and we had not stated
anything about rage quits/mid race quits I did'nt care. After all, it was my fault from the beginning.

I know that all in here feel the same way regarding this. So I do not think we'll have any trouble with it during the season. As I said, race 1 is my bad, and I do understand the reason why some left.

Now that this is up for discusson, I hope it brings some light to this issue.

So to sum it up: We will not accept rage quits during the season. It will be a clearly stated rule.

And to add and clarify a bit: we define a "rage quit" as leaving purposefully without fair reason. If you plan on leaving a race out of boredom or because the game glitches or you lose a spot is inexcusable.

If a driver needs to leave due to an emergency then that's fine, of course. All one needs to do is let us know what happened in the thread.

*Do not let us know the situation by ranting through the in-game text chat. Talking or otherwise messaging during the race is just disgusting. Never, ever, do that - anyone.*

IMPORTANT NOTE:
When you set up your car according to this list (or any PURE JGTS specs sheet for that matter), make sure:
1. That your car is fully run in.
2. That your car got fresh oil.
3. That we are using "Bhp", not "Hp".
4. All PP's stated are whith Aero maxed out.
5. That when you look at your engines output, it's the numbers you'll see when in the settings menu that counts.
I.e: The ARTA NSX show 518 Bhp when viewed in your car list, but show 517 Bhp when viewed in the settings menu.
Settings Menu is what show the correct values, and is therefore the one PURE JGTS use.

hi
Litchi register me in the room 1 to be together (i can't register myself because i wasn't here) it is ok for me i'll be in 👍

Since we all have our real lifes to attend to, we make arrangements to be able to get 1,5-2 hours for a race free..
That's why we can't delay a race for to long.
If we keep it simple, at 5 past, the host start the race for the last time, no matter what happens. If we can all agree on that, the discussions will be minimal since we all will know what we decided together.

If possible, the host can start the race before 6 PM (GMT) as long as all are in the room.
But if something happens during the formationlap (crash, DC.. whatever) the race can restart. But under no circumstance can the host / steward / admin aboard a race that's been started at 5 min past.

Is this something we can agrre on?
If not, I'd love to listen to other suggestions how to deal with this?

I feel this is a good approach but would request that the time limit be extended to 10 minutes as I feel five minutes might be pushing it just a bit.

Hey Spa room 2 guys, let's help Denilson out with his request and fill in the cars we used for the practice race. Thanks!

(purposeful double post to keep race results separate) :)

To confirm: I drove the Petronas Lexus SC430 - Kamy drove the Calsonic GTR - tnJF drove the Castrol Supra.

Not sure about the others / Can't remember.

I drove the Lexus Denso Dunlop. By the way Paul, I REALLY thought I had 2:16.8 and not 2:15.8. I'm absolutely confused! And I don't have the replay, so I can't check, haha.

Hope it's OK 👍

Anzem29GTPlay: No problem. 👍

BrosifDuder: Thanks a lot for re posting my wish. 👍
I need to compare best laps with what car each driver did the time with.
I know that some of the best laps was in slip etc. But the more numbers I get, the better I can understand a cars pace.

Note: I've change the allowed specifications for a handful of cars as a result.
XANAVI GT-R, CALSONIC GT-R, YELLOWHAT GT-R, AUTECH MOTUL GT-R, STEALTH GT-R, PETRONAS TOM'S SC430 and DENSO DUNLOP SARD SC430 are 20 kg lighter (from 1150 kg to 1130 kg).
I will perform some tests on the Z as well, but have not decided anything about it's weight yet.
RAYBRIG NSX got new individual values.
ENEOS SC430 is on par (according to me).
WOODONE, Z, EPSON and BANDAI will be tested this week.

I'll be on in a bit for some more testing.

HD_NOS: Not decided yet. Probably a tight circuit. Monaco perhaps.
I'll post the roomnumber in this thread when the room is up.
We'll do a 30 minute race. Make sure to use a legit car with legit/correct mods.
Any driver that feel for some racing are more than welcome to join. 👍

And seeing as we're on the topic of bashing those who quit that Room 1 race, I'm going to make my feelings abundantly clear like others have in this thread. First of all I'm not even going to discuss my commitment, I raced every week that I could in WSGTC, Dennis should be able to testify to that. Only race I quit was Daytona because I was just horrible there and there was no point, I was a danger to other cars on the track. All others were disconnects. Second, where the hell is this "ragequitters expect to be winning" attitude coming from? Honestly, the number of great drivers in Room 1 (and 2, for that matter) is ridiculous, so do you seriously think people expect to win? If they do they're obviously in the wrong series. And anyone who thinks I quit because of that has blatantly lost it, because I'm barely in contention for a podium in any race that I'm in. I'd like to win, sure, but if I'm in a race, at the back of the pack with no-one nearby to race with, I'll carry on regardless and go for the finish line, I know full well that anything can happen in the last few laps of a race. Quite simply, it was a pre-season race that started quite late, I have my own schedule to stick to which involves important work to be done, but with a fair amount of leeway for racing, but please, excuse me for quitting a race mid-way because I have some other, 'meagre' real-life commitments. And if I have to even reassure people that I will finish season races, then I'm out of this series.

BrosifDuder: Thanks a lot for re posting my wish. 👍

Not a problem.

Also, I wanted to let everyone know that I will not be able to attend this weekend's practice race as I will be out of the country and without access to a PS3. I will be back before the race on the 13th and should be able to make a qualification run at some point prior to that Sunday.

Thanks.

Even though it was completely off-pace at Spa, I think I'm just going to stick with the supra, see its better at a more twisty track.
Also seems like everyone else is avoiding it like it has plague, so someone needs to get data on it. ;)

Ok, I made arrangements to be able to host a race with the new guy who told me 5 PM GMT was his prefered time.

So now the Skylines have more power AND less weight than the poor Toms Supra?
Can we take the power limiter off completely then? The areo reduction already made it .5s/lap slower in the Spa race (i was doing 15s with the extra aero but never got out of the 16s after).
I can attest the car being really good on tire wear is the only thing that made it even remotely competitive last Sunday. If I hadn't messed up my 1-stop with a 2nd stop for damage I'm pretty sure I would have come home in 6th. But I was only racing against the GTPlay guys in the Z. The 430s, NSXs, and GTRs were just out of reach.
I have to test it against the updated yellowhat supra and GTRs again... but I fear the worst. It was close to the GTR (about .5/lap slower in my hands @ spa) before the aero cut and easily better than the yellowhat. but now it seems the tables have turned and the yellowhat is the better supra and it's bound to be farther behind the skylines with them now having parity on aero, a newer chassis, AND less weight.

Man this car leveling is a pain. . . . NASCARS anyone?

Or maybe get PD to send Stealths to all and we can just run personal numbers on Stealth cars....not nearly as visually stimulating, but its about the race, and I cant see my car from the drivers seat. :)
