Litchi hate to bother you... but I did plan to quali last night but my net was being utterly hopeless now it seems to have stabilised so id like to quali now.

You won't have to switch cars for the final round. Just Calsonic and if there are two teams with same GTR in final we will live with it.

Question about qualifying: can we choose not to qualify and start at the back?
Given that I'm likely to be mid-to-rear of the pack in D2 anyway, frankly I'd rather be right at the back going through Eau Rouge on the first lap than in the middle. Particularly after our last little excursion at Spa, which left me in serious doubt about some people's ability to restrain themselves from going three wide on the first lap.
The other option being I qualify and set a 3 minute lap, but that seems like a waste of the stewards and everyone's time.
I think it's better not to boycott the quali... 👍

Ive done Quali now thanks Litchi 👍, only a 2:15.914 but i made a slight tweak to the setup CSL gave me and while getting settled for quali i got a new PB of 15.6xx which i was pretty pleased with

It's not a boycott. It's tactics.
I feel I have a better chance at an incident free race from the back of the grid. If I'm gridded in the middle, I'll pull over at La Source and let people past so that I can be at the back going through Eau Rouge, but that isn't guaranteed to be problem free either. I'd rather just start from the pits, but that's not really an option so I'd like to start at the back. Tactically, I feel it's the option available to me that gives the best opportunity for a high placed finish and a fun race.
Given that, it's in my interest to run as slow a lap as possible. Which is entirely a waste of everyone's time. I'll run it if you guys think I should, but it would seem easier just to let me start at the back.
I know this seems weird, but this is what happens when you're a mid-range driver in a division in which you can expect most drivers to have 1-3 major incidents over the course of a race. It's about ensuring consistency and minimising the opportunity for other people to take you out. Defensive driving, basically.

Why not?
It would never happen anyway. People in contention for pole position will always qualify because that is the best position. People not in contention for pole position have to then choose a particularly conservative strategy. It's never likely to be a significant portion of the grid.
If there's multiple people, line them up in random order, or in order they posted, or in alphabetical order, or tallest to shortest. It doesn't really matter, because they're all going to be driving slowly at the back. If I've got someone else who has made the same call, I know they value safety over immediate race position and they won't dive bomb me at the first opportunity.

i missed 1st race thats why. had some real life problems to sort out. but D2 is okay i didnt practised so D2 will be a gd warm up 4 me worstest qualify i had.. i was focused to qualify tomorrow so was really stressed to get it today .better as a penalty needed to go at 19 o'clock coz my bro have also some races.. so yea i can say im lucky for not getting a penalty^^

All this "not qualifying" business seems a bit silly to me. (and one of the big reasons I was in favor of the divisions being 'open' every race... eliminates the shennagans of skipping quali so you can start at the back of D1 to get pole in heat2). Reminds me of the lame b.s. of "move over Rubens so Mikey can win one more" team orders in F1. Good thing it isn't my call because I'd say "if you didn't put in a quali time at all you're starting at the back both heats". I hate sand-bagging.

I know NOSS is doing it for an extra challenge, from what he told me at the beginning of the week.
Anybody doing it to "gain" in the second race is a fool.
Either way I agree, if people are going to skip, (not sure yet deadline isn't here) we should just start making people qualify for division every week, and that'll be the end of that.

To me missing qualli is not what Denilson wants he said he wanted 100% commitment and im sure that means doing every quallifing session and race unless a valid reason is stated otherwise, not doing it to start at the back is not a valid reason..
Just saying if you want to start at the back atleast quallify slowly to do so... that way your still doing as we agreed...
Edit: Yeah CSL that way id be D1 until someone else qualifys then id be back in D2

You're right, but on the other hand, I was in a room with NOSS earlier this week, he could just as easily have ran a qualifying lap and smashed into a wall on his first lap right then.
So as long as we're running the current system, and/or somebody wants to start at the back, I don't see a reason to spend the couple minutes bothering with a run either.
