SC430 crap car on this track. Crap race day for me. Added the usual 5 litres to the suggestion, but had 10+ litres at the end, and got outpitted because fueling took so long. Wtf calculations. And dirty air... I hate it even more for each race, probably this car is more susceptible to it than others, idk but I am unable to turn in when behind someone. And the track... meh. All in all, it can only get better. :)

They fixed the fuel suggestion bug a few updates ago. I put in 17, which was what they told me and went red through the bus stop on the last lap. Just enough.

My race ( and others) was ruined on lap 1, turn 1, though. I think someone tried being a lap 1 hero, or missed a brake point or something but I won't say anything until I see the replay. Why did we switch the start point in the first place? Really.

EDIT: oh okay. 3 cars behind me just all got into each other at the same time and I was in the wrong spot ahead of them, getting rear suspension damage. I can't drive with that at all.

Believe it or not, I agree with Mule...

1 incident, from that 4 guys got damaged, my race ruined even though I was in clean air away from it and not connected at all. In the end, 6 or 7 guys finished lap one with damage.

Jash got spun around, my view was blocked, he suddenly appeared sideways infront of me, I tried slamming on the brakes, but impossible to miss him, GAME OVER.

Spend so much time setting up car/practicing - then have to qualify, just to race for 1 corner in a 30 lap race.....

So many incidents ALWAYS being caused by "aggression"...???????????????

Carried on hotlapping on my own for 25 laps, then psychologically gave up, made the inevitable mistake, hit wall, got damage then actually gave up....

Welp, here's how our start went. It was botched because of a lag spike, racing incident I'd say since he waited back:

Good race overall, lots of close racing. Great battle for 3rd spot for the first half of the race. Unfortunately swapping that position back and forth slowed us down and let the leaders get out of reach, but that's racing I guess.

Not going to complain over a podium finish. :)

What do you mean Simon?

Here's the results as well:

It wasn't aggression at all. Just three cars all going for the same piece of real estate. The guy in the middle (not naming names in public) could have backed off, but he got a lot of momentum out of the turn. there was nothing the two guys to his inside and outside, or everyone behind them (and me, directly infront of them) could have done.

It could have been prevented by starting under the Total sign like we always used to do.

Don't be afraid to say that it was me, no worry man.
I'm quite embarrassed about what happened.
until Eau Rouge i was to hesitate to call for a restart. Nobody asked for it so i decided to go ahead.

100% agree 👍

I just remembered something I would like to point out to Eddie.

Sometime during the first half of the race I was chasing Dennis and accidently cut going up the hill due to the dirty air behind him. I let off twice and then avoided the slipstream to penalize myself. Just so it doesn't get brought up by anyone else. 👍

Cool, thanks Jason I had to do that myself a couple times.

And about the start, I think starting at the normal start line was fine, but we may have to change it for the future.

If 6-7 cars had crashed independently, no, but a pileup in turn 1 with multiple damages could be reason to call a restart (I was not involved).

We never had a precedent before, so I guess we'll have to write up rules for it in case it happens next time, no big deal.

I'd say a good rule of thumb would be if four or more cars are badly damaged on the start then the people involved are free to call for a restart which we'll honor as long as the first lap of the race hasn't been completed by the leader.

Or maybe not a total restart but call for a safety car and give the time to damaged guys to pit, rejoin the pack at the back and new start next time the start line is crossed.

Sounds good to me! We had something similar in WSGTC3 iirc. And of course in FMSC4 with Jason calling the safety car whenever there was a pileup.

A safety period could work too, good idea, we'll decide on something during the week.

The 2 incidents for me (1 was at the start) not only ruined the race for me, but as I miss 2 rounds of the Championship anyway, it kind of seals that too. Good job it's only GT5 or I'd be in danger of getting upset, lol. :D

The 2 times I got damaged, look to be a case of me just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. C'est La Vie :indiff:

After needing a 3rd pit, I decided my day had been decided for me, so left the car with the Team and got a nice cold beer!

A big congratulations to Tony, Max and Jason for great drives today and my Team Mate, Dan for stepping up when I was knocked down. Solid points for Team XANAVI from an indifferent weekend!

litchi does like his favorite F1 driver alias Grosjean lol !
and safety car is a very good idea :)
i had a good rythm, i stay before Jonh during 20 laps ;)
unlucky Jash :'( :'(

Bad luck on multiple occasions today. Weird start. Avoiding a racer. Then my own stupidity. Resulted in a rather lack luster finish. Guess I did gain two spots so woot for that. Looking forward to Motegi.

The thread title has been edited to remove the Japanese script.

The AUP is quite clear that all posts (and that does include thread titles) must be in English, the staff have a bit enough task clearing non-English posts from threads on a regular basis and as such we can't let this one be the exception without causing problems.

Scaff

The Japanese don't approve of the horrible Google translation either hah, no problem.

I change the title a lot, so that wasn't meant to be up for more than a minute or so, sorry about that. I know the AUP well but got caught up posting in the Motorsport forum.

Too bad, I love all those silly titles, even when I understand nothing of it :)
