I can't do earlier. I intend to record the f1 and watch it after. If we delay , I am fine with that to.
We should stick to out normal time though, as switching will always affect someone.

Great read up Tim. I'm still kicking myself about the incident with johan as I totally ruined his race, mine was OK, think I could of got you and Eddie on last lap but 8th cannot complain....

Don't think anymore of it. You and I go long time back, many races, and I always enjoyed and will enjoy racing with you.

Btw, I think we're even now. The only other incident between us that I can remember was the first season in WSGTC. You and I were on the first row at Le Mans. Starting at one of the long straights entering the chicane I was so concerned of being hit from behind, only looked in the rear mirror, forgot to break, and boom straight into you. Fun to think about it now, but terrible at the time.

Lol yes I do remember that, OK we are even, looking forward to the next race.

After my first test session I find it extremely hard to get a grip of the strategy for such a long race..
2 and 3 stops seem to be valid options.
Hell, perhaps even 4 stops.
It's extremely open imo.
I think I'm going to start the race with 3 strategies worked out, and decide during the race depending on how thing turn out.

I had some really good test races with Nige as well.
It's extremely hard to get set up an overtake due to the dirty air affecting your car pretty much all over the track.

JGTS 1 Pole: 1:55.3
JGTS 1 Best Lap: 1:55.4

Have you guys gone under 56 yet? My pb is 56.3 and it feels like its more in the car but not in me :)

just noticed there's a new voluntary system update out for download.
good idea to get it if you haven't so everyone's on the same level

version 4.31

I managed a best of 1'55.4xx this morning, but ran wide in the final turn which cost a 1/10th or 2. I believe Dennis ran a PB of 1'55.8xx on the last lap of a 6 lap race also whilst leading, so in answer to your question, Yes. I'm sure we'll see 54's by some ;)

FTW I had a quick session that yielded a 56.2 on lap 4-5 and showed potential to reach 55's (with reasonable ease) by lap 3. (meaning qualifying)

My guess is the cutoff this week is between 56.8-57.3

:(

If we pulled off Miatas in the rain, then we can definitely do these cars as well. You all are just wimps. :P

I can't tell you how challenging, but fun that was. :)
I bow before all NSX drivers feet just for finishing that race, and I drove the best car for it.

So I came up with a solution for our F1 watching woes.

It's simple, let's make Spa the enduro and make Nurburgring an hour long race, then every one can catch the race live.

Great, I whould loved that.It whould be a shame to miss first F1 race in Austin same as missing race on GP/F

Or we could run Spa this week and Nurb next. Nobody has qualified yet.

Because we've all run 5 enduro's at Spa in GT500's already?
This 👍

Or make Nurb F short and run it this week, and run Motegi as an enduro next week...(Moving Spa back one)

Pretty much anything that doesn't involve 2 hours at Spa.

That sounds great actually. I did want to figure out a way to run Motegi as an enduro actually.

That works... it kind of detracts from our "global route realism" thing we tried to do (now we're going to Japan from Europe, just to come back to Europe the next week, then leave for Japan again) but who cares?

But the other thing is that in order to make GP/F run under an hour ( most races last a little over an hour) is we'd have to reduce the length to 175km.

I'd be up for any of those, personally. I do want to race both Nurb and Spa.

I have a nurb room open. Let me know what you're gonna do in case I have to change track.

Well if people show up at the proper time we can be under green flag (actual go-time) by 18:00 sharp too.
It'd be 30+1 I assume.

We're racing Nurb, Spa, Motegi, and Suzuka yet Steve.👍
The question is in exactly what order and how many laps?

Closed.

Got a 58.7, so I imagine we'll be seeing 55's in quali by Tony and others.

how far under an hour?

still don't see the big deal with the USGP, going to record it like I do every race. they aren't going to have magical elves dancing on the track or anything unicorn special that requires live attention.

Nurb (175), Spa (200), Motegi (300), Suzuka (300)?
I'd switch Spa and Motegi so the enduro's aren't back to back.

But let's not get carried away with this too quickly, 35 or so drivers here that were planning on a 300km enduro this weekend.

It seems the schedule conflicts with some races a large portion like to watch, so my question is, what happens for the next F1 race? Do we cancel or shorten that race too?

Perhaps the better option is starting earlier if watching these races live is this high of a priority?

Don't get me wrong, I'm ok with the shuffle and I like the idea of the Motegi enduro, but this F1 race has been scheduled for a while now, it didn't just crop up either, and, of course, I believe there are more, so what for them? Perhaps a 4-week fix will be easier than scrambling the week of F1 events?

Not necessary. There's only one round left after Texas and it's going to be on a non-conflicting time. The last race is at Interlagos in Brazil.

I don't think it's a big deal to have back to back enduros myself.

Oh and one thing else to mention about going 175 (34 laps) for Nurburgring is that it opens up the possibilty of a non-stop race.

I don't mind changing it, I just didn't want to see some ridiculous scramble in upcoming weeks for more races.
Guess I can't make it any clearer how out of touch with F1 I am.

Haha, it's all good, but that's interesting, I'm gonna put you to something now that I realize this though: tell me, as a racing fan in general but not so much on F1, who's your favorite driver?
