It's one of the MARC cars out of Australia. I knwo it raced at Bathurst 12H for sure, not sure where else.
3 have raced at the Paul Ricard 24H, also invitationals in Europe. A Focus in Europe has been converted o a BMW body over the V8.
I still can't understand why this car has not taken off across the world. It's cheap, can use any engine and body, built for endurance. So, it can do sprint as well.

Because you can do the same thing with a Miata for half the price.

Because TCR's essentially the same thing and I'm pretty sure it's promoted more.

Come now.... What Jake said.

It's also is another V8 series in Australia, even though they run in GT series. V8 Supercars will not promote it obviously.

@IanBell or anyone really, is there any chance or previous mention of being able to title open online lobbies? It would be so useful for racing clubs to advertise and would make it a lot easier for people to know what they're getting into.

Thanks to any replies =)
I assume you mean on consoles?

This is already possible on the PC version in the current game. Has been from day one. I am truly surprised by some of the differences between platforms I am just now finding out about. I left consoles and returned to PC just prior to pCARS releasing so haven't really kept up on the console side of the issues.

Seeing as there's such a big push on esports, will there be the ability to use our names on offline and online racing instead of PSN username? Would also help with the TLAs.

For example in PC1, my name shows as AUsername and my preset TLA would be AUS. In PC2, I'm suggesting to be able to show A. Name with NAM being the TLA.

Hi I have a question and suggestions to the Single Player Career Mode:
What are the new features to improve the feeling to have a real career ?.

I am sorry to say this but the career mode in PC1 was really not the best and one of the biggest criticism on PC1. To linear, boring and no feeling that i am a part of a team. I hope to create my own team if i have fame, exp, and enough money in later career with my own wished name and the chance to choose a teammate for my team as a second driver. Please add some stuff to increase the feeling that you in a career... Interviews, presentation ceremony after race, Talk with the mechanic about the car (maybe some suggestions from him to improve the setup for people who do not have the skill for a perfect car setup), talk with the Manager about contracts or teammates or next races, a better way to have a look to the weather forecast to have a chance to react with the race strategy ( one simple page with a pictures with the weather forecast in 1 hour steps fore the whole day (like in real) is enough and a road temperature, maybe with a small hint from the mechanic to increase / decrease the tire pressure or engine cooling... some easy to implement small text and picture based stuff (no animation needed) to get a better career feeling. I hope you understand what i mean :)

I wonder how many options they have made for hotlapping. There´s a lot of focus on esports, and most competitions rely on hotlapping.

However, it is a game within the game trying to find settings. Are there any new ideas in this front? Like, 30 minute events, no restart events, mandatory damage, fuel, tire wear, stock settings mandatory... like in GT5 Prologue where this was so great.

Can anyone comment on this?

Also, they should add the feature that the RSR app for AC has, where it automatically shows your world ranking as you cross the finish line.

Not really trying to be wish list here, just a few thoughts on this subject, because once people stop playing online, hotlapping is all there is.

Also, it´s something that could be huge, lots of great ideas to be implemented. Such a shame i couldn´t get into the development this time, i would love to give feedback and ideas on this... maybe for Pcars3

@IanBell I just watched a recent video where IGN sat down with Stephen Viljen. At one point in the video he mentioned that the advertised car roster (170+) was specifically different car models (i.e. Mustang vs Focus) rather than different variations of the same model (Mustang GT vs Mustang GT4). Does this mean that the advertised car lineup is similar to the advertised track roster (60+ locations with 100+ layouts)? For example, 170+ models with say 250+ variations? Here's the video and he talks about it around the 5:00 to 5:10 mark.

Viljoen means that each model is unique. A different livery isn't a different car like in Forza with their cars. E.g. Indy 500 isn't 33 cars. It's 2 cars but there are 33 official liveries combined within the 2.

In Forza 6, they had 6 Honda liveries where they classed that as 6 separate cars. In Project CARS, that is one single car. A variation like the Road and Oval packages are 2 separate cars but they're actually different.

Yeah on consoles, probably should have specified that ha. I like it over here in controller land, I just don't have the patience for a PC XD

Why the 🤬 are they separate cars if they are just different liveries. man this is why im tired of Forza's BS im glad i never played it i regret playing gt6 not gt5 as it was a step up.

You answered your own question there. Forza and GT BS.

If SMS did the same for every livery created by them, I've heard it would be 700 "cars."

Interestingly, the story has always been that the cars as separate models (ie. Formula E, IndyCars) was a licensing requirement. If PCARS2 really has condensed all the necessary liveries into single models, that's a win for players (but a loss for the marketing department :P).

Of course, all the livery duplicates of FM6 add up to far less than 100 cars (about 60 IIRC), meaning the game still has well over 500 unique models post-DLC.

Licensing requirement sounds like rubbish to me. Although we haven't seen in game yet but I expect IndyCar to have 4 models being the Road and Oval aerokits of both Chevrolet and Honda. Also, having a look at Forzas's car list, there's the 12C GT3 with 2 liveries. In Project CARS, there are more real 12C liveries and they are still one car.

I'm not surprised that it's that amount but any unnecessary duplication is too much. When the cars are different, yes. But not when they're exactly the same car.

I can't be the only one that has their heart skip a beat when a mod quotes them.

Would SMS be interested in adding soon to be constructed Australian circuits? There are three approved with a fourth waiting for approval.
1. Newcastle Street Circuit, New South Wales; Nov. 2017(on schedule)

2. Tailem Bend, South Australia; Aug. 2018(under construction)

3. Circuit Italia, New South Wales(Oct. 2017)

Bathurst 1000 and the Gold Coast 600 are in October as well. At least, with the two NSW circuits, a trip can be planned to stay and watch the inaugural Supercars race At Newcastle. ;)

YES! Being an Australian I would love to see some more Australian tracks in pCARS 2. Maybe DLC Mr Bell? :)

I'm sure the more iconic circuits like Phillip Island, Sandown and Adelaide could be done, but these new circuits look really good too. I'd also like to see Pukekohe and Highlands Motorsport Park added at some point. Awesome circuits in this part of the Southern Hemisphere.
