I'd like Adelaide and Phillip Island yes. How much can we charge you Aussies for those two?

I think a similar price point to the Historic Lotus DLC from PC1 would be fair. Throw in a third short circuit like Pukekohe, Symmons Plains or Barbagallo and you would have a handy bit of DLC there that would be a must buy for most (if not all) Aus/NZ players.

@IanBell @The_American On the topic of DLC, Are you at liberty to discuss any plans to follow the DLC schedule from PC1? I mean a season pass, and also a ~monthly free car?

The monthly free car was only because of the delays to PC1 if I remember correctly. So don't expect that to happen again.

Yeah. We're absolutely not holding to a monthly content/feature and bug fix frequency. The process of clearing any update with 1st parties is convoluted and that we maintained it every month for 11 months is a minor miracle. It was also all such a rush that we occasionally introduced new bugs in the scramble.

So as of now, the rough plan is every 3 months and although I can't detail the DLC planned I can say it's ''really cool' :)

Hmm one could assume with a late September release, and a rough plan of DLC every 3 months, that we could be waking up on Christmas morning with a sneaky DLC present from SMS. :)

Quick UI question - with 150+ cars will we be able to sort the car list by more than just alphabetical order, class and manufacturer? ie. Year built, most frequently used, power to weight , drive train type, or even a search function etc.
The reason I ask is that I traditionally use the car list to select my car because for me it is quicker than going through the class/manufacturer view, but with an increasing car list this may be get a bit cumbersome. That being said, its still manageable as it is, just could be a bit easier.

Not all of those but the first few. I like the idea for things like power to weight though...

@IanBell,
Are you going to enhance the functions for replays? I don't want to go through a full replay just to view a certain event right at the end. In other words, something allows you to skip through the replay instead of having to sit for 10 minutes at fast forward. Also, a greater variety of camera angles would be much appreciated in order to resolve disputes i.e an unfair contact or a corner cut where an advantage is gained. I say this now because I had a collision whilst racing last week in Project Cars and wanted to view the replay. Instead of cutting straight to the incident, I had to wait quite a while to get to the part I wanted and when I did, the replay crashed because I decided to press the rewind button. I don't want to deal with this Project Cars 2.

I remember playing an old F1 game which would allow you to skip to the start of each lap in the replay. That'd be handy.

@jerry555 I also have a t 500, and I would assume the wheel still works since it worked on the first one. Well when i say worked, I mean was able to work about 50% of the time.

One thing that bugs me ever so slightly is the interior view of cars that have a net over the window or between what would be the two front seats. It doesn't move, it's like a static part of the car.

Is there any way to model this like one of the flags and have it move loosely in the environment?

I was bugged by that snow video where I couldn't see any snow clouds, yet snow was in the air. But I'm no cloud expert so what do I know?

Except that those nets are there as safety restraint and are stretched pretty tight. There is very little movement in them in real life.

But they do move in the turns like how your keys hanging or something hanging from the rear view mirror. It would be nice to see it have some ripple to it instead be of a solid object.

I did say it only bugs me ever so slightly. It's just one of those little things that takes me out of the moment y'know?

@IanBell : What about PSVR support at this moment ? Any news ? I think a lot of people are interested

I loved Project Cars and still play it now and again (though mostly only Nurbrurging tbh).

If I buy PC2 though is entirely down to PSVR support. If I can lap the ring in VR then I'm buying it on launch day (or as soon as its added), if I can't then I'll leave it.

I discussed that over in the thread on GTP for it. Seeing as there's no mention of PC in the original article and that article, I'd say it's unlikely.
In the Supercars thread?

A little sketchy but:
For us we’re probably one of the better placed sports given we’ve got our Bathurst track on both consoles, and it’s actually broader than that, it’s a way from console onto PC and mobile phones and the like, and we’ve really got all the assets.
I'm sure SMS could reference their own eSports program is ready at launch and give them a run with the PCars V8 Supercar physics vs Forza physics.
Besides, PC2 drops a week after when the enduros start. Even though F7 is out two days before Bathurst weekend, I feel SMS can get the drop on T10. Just have to figure a way to silence Mark Skaife.

Nah. Here.

True. But my concern is that there was no mention of the Project CARS series at all despite it having Bathurst and a V8SC modelled in the first iteration. Although it may have little bearing, Gran Turismo's is out of date and is on an older console yet still got a mention in the original article on the official Supercars page.

Oh cool.

No doubt. Just gotta look at who is talking. Warburton probably doesn't game. :P

Seriously, I read you loud and clear. I'm hoping SMS/Andy Tudor/Ian Bell can at least get VASC's attention and let them know, eSports is excellent on the PCars multi platform.

He'd most likely never answer anything about specific brands. Although it would be most likely now more than ever. Although if Hyundai do come in, I think it would be because of their i30 TCR in DLC and maybe a SMS-TCC Super 2000 spec.

Okay thank you for this information and sorry for asking in this thread. I will cross the finger to get some Hyundai´s :)

And maybe the Gainsco Genesis coupe from Pirelli World Challenge. Given the amount of PWC cars/liveries in game already it could possibly happen.

Although with that said, SMS have focused on the 2016 season and Gainsco had already switched to Porsche by then. The Genesis was thier 2015 car.

Dare anybody mention Super GT? It seems GT may have ditched it, which seems odd to me as it's mostly all their Japanese audience drives from what I've seen in the open lobbies.

I'm not keeping my hopes up though, not that I had any to begin with haha.

Anybody know the deal with how they license and all that? I've heard SGT is awkward..

GTS is listed as the official game of Super GT on one of the official Super GT websites.
