I wonder how long before some stock car oval gameplay. NASCAR Heat 2 comes out 2 weeks before Project cars 2 and Nascar gamers on a budget will probably only get one or the other.
Did some googling and can't find any mention of GT being an official Super GT game or anything like that =/ damn Japanese and their secrets! XDGTS is listed as the official game of Super GT on one of the official Super GT websites.

@IanBell Will it be easier to tell when we completed a inveb
NASCAR heat 2 looks like it will have more to offer this time around. I plan on getting both. I'm waiting on seeing the NASCAR's racing on the ovals as well for pcars2.
It is interesting to me that America's most popular form of motorsport is so poorly represented. There is a chasm between Heat and iRacing as wide as the Atlantic. IndyCar and IMSA have a much larger gaming presence in the market these days.Physics still look meh. In terms of features it will be much much better.

The developers are aiming for the arcade market. There are still thousands of people who still are playing NR2003 for a reason. They just cannot seem to grasp the fact that people want an actual sim.
You can literally go around every track on last years game (except the 2 road courses) and hold the wheel all the way left and just control the car with the throttle around the turns. Its ridiculous
Here's the thing a lot of hardcore racers quickly forget though: a massive part of the racing game audience are kids and often quite young ones. Especially so with the big TV Sport racing games like Nascar and F1. They aren't sims for a reason, and like it or not a lot of racing game fans prefer NFS, GRID and other arcade racers. Hardcore racers while being the most vocal, are far from being a majority, so there's no way we'll get a sim version of a yearly Nascar or F1 as they NEED to sell to a much broader audience.
Same exact dynamic as the car "enthusiasts" crowd. The most vocal, most passionate and least likely to purchase crowd of picky people you ever want to meet. Here's the thing a lot of hardcore racers quickly forget though: a massive part of the racing game audience are kids and often quite young ones. When it came to sheer entertainment value, my nephews far preferred playing Split/Second to Gran Turismo 5/6. So silliness sells to those under a certain age.SMS aims for the sim crowd and had no problem selling copies. Just have to make it inviting to both sides.
I'm having trouble finding it now. It was part of a cheat sheet style page where it broke down the series, cars, etc. for people new to the sport. There is a video game section in there as well. That's where it showed GT Sport with the official logo and some basic cover art.Did some googling and can't find any mention of GT being an official Super GT game or anything like that =/ damn Japanese and their secrets! I want to see a Forza Horizon type game with realistic physics. A silly game that had the real feel of car and crash physics would be a blast, in my opinion.
As for NASCAR, I think it is far more likely that iRacing makes a console game than someone like Monster Games making a remotely legitimate NASCAR sim. Once a developer has the physics and handling nailed, they can open the world up to new possibilities. For this reason I would love to see SMS take on a Horizon-type game.
I have no problem with sim games being accessible, I'd rather they were tbh. I'm talking specifically Nascar though, they have their own market which means that they must be arcadey, and as long as they are making their own licensed games, as with F1, the chances of a full sim are small at best sadly.SMS aims for the sim crowd and had no problem selling copies. Just have to make it inviting to both sides.
I doubt they would, too. But they could. And I think it would be a worthwhile venture for them. The game would run brilliantly on a console these days as their game is not graphically intense. They have the licenses for the tracks and cars and series. A simple port over to a console with some AI would not be a difficult task. They wouldn't have to reinvent the wheel (they would have to "invent" controller handling, ha). Heck, a console version of NASCAR Racing 2003 Season would sell pretty well on console. A lot of iRacing's cash is tied up in Servers and Services the consoles would manage for them, freeing up resources to polish the experience. It would be a lot easier for iRacing to make a "game" than it would for another dev to make a "sim".I agree, except I don't ever see iRacing coming to consoles. Even so, I for one would not buy it due to the cost involved. I don't think they would make just a regular game but I may be wrong.

If iRacing were to go to NASCAR tomorrow and say they want to make the 2018 Season's game, NASCAR would basically give them free reign and a blank check.
So I just decided to research game sales top 50 charts in 2015 and 2016... and found that statement to he totally false sadly. All the best selling racing games were arcade, with the Forza games doing the best out of them all. In 2015 the UK chart had:AND it would be the best selling NASCAR game of all time... because its a full on SIM.
History (Project Cars) & Alan at Team VVV reporting that there is still lots of work to be done. I hope I'm wrong and it releases on Sept 22 in a fine finished state. I would be pleasantly surprised. Why? Care to explain your *valid* reasoning?
It was joked about it not taking that long to do with the SC system, Chase and NASCAR specifics.Forget iracing, I would love to see what SMS could bring to the table for a NASCAR game. Too badly that won't happen but God damn imagine if they would.
Remember, we were told that they want to release with minimum, what is reasonable, bugs. The game is going to be good out the box. I have confidence it won't be like PC1 at release.History (Project Cars) & Alan at Team VVV reporting that there is still lots of work to be done. It does not appear to be so...Hello, the Brazilian version of PCars 1 had the menus in Portuguese, but the engineer's voice was always in English. Project Cars 2 will be dubbing the engineer to Portuguese?
I see now that the pre-order version for PS4 (digital or disc) have no mentions about PSVR. So those who own PSVR are left behind.... I do not want to get UHD and Crystal clear image on PSVR. I just want to play it like Dirt Rally or Driveclub, with fewer details but with huge imersion.@IanBell : What about PSVR support at this moment ? Any news ? I think a lot of people are interested

Sorry for my bad english, i am from EE
Event GT Sport will offer challenges with 1 vs 1 cars. Real VR racing experience should be available on PS5 in my opinion.
