I assume that the aero model has been improved, seeing as blowovers are now a thing, along with the Group C cars having a LeMans variant, which would make sense.

Can any of the SMS team comment on the V8 Supercars licence? Why is there only the Falcon? Does the Supercars commission want your first born, in exchange to use another manufacture?
I'm going to guess it's like many other series. You have to license the series and the cars and the teams. Yes, the series license helps but that doesn't always mean you have all cars and circuits and I think that's the case with PWC.

Question for @IanBell or @The_American .

Thinking specifically about IndyCar here, but question pertains to all series that allow it.

Will we now be able to make tuning adjustments to the cars during pitstops? For exame, when doing an IndyCar race, will we be able to have our pit crew now make front or rear wing adjustments?

Yes, I am already making plans for CanAm VRL to host a real-time Indy 500 :D

As it stands, "Ford" teams are not backed by the manufacturer. They are allowed to use Ford badging and the shape. The other cars(Holden & Nissan and Volvo/Polestar/Cyan(when active) & AMG[under their customer program for the shape, but ran HWA developed engines]) have factory backing. In the AMG E63's case, those cars are Erebus Motorsport V8 E63s. They belong to Erebus. So, they could be acquired for the game, with Betty's permission.

The Volvo S60s probably won't, as those cars are Volvo/Cyan Racing property and have been shipped out of Australia, to Sweden(per a falling out with GRM, who ran the cars).

I don't see a problem with Holden and Nissan. They both have committed to the series for a couple more years. Only talk has been about Supercars, maybe, doing their own eSports program. Which, I don't know how far along they are l, in talks with a developer.

@IanBell I saw the page that goes over the career in the game, and I have to say it looks great! I really like the balance between having the freedom to choose the sport you want, yet having enough "fulfillment" of unlocking some higher tier stuff or the manufacturer stuff.

One question, I can't help think that the historic cars will be lacking in the career mode...

There's Group A, Group C and Group 5 in Career Mode tiers.

I have two questions:
1 - Will weather and climate be better explored in career mode compared to Pcars1?
For in Pcars1 there were almost no night races, races with storms, there were but few in career mode.

2- How will the manufacturers' event modes be in career mode?

I know you guys are busy but in this video, there are both Road and Oval spec cars on a circuit which should be for Road spec. Has this been changed?

Actually now we're talking about aero kits will we be able to switch between the two during a career championship?

Is there a limit for top lap times at each track, during offline play?

Also, can we run one manufacturer in all 4 classes?

Could not find it via search so I think it is not asked yet? Otherwise apologies and direct this old grumpy to the right source please:

Is it possible now to compare hotlap times per car in stead of class on PS4?

It defintely will not. As I recall only thing that was said officialy was along the "we can't promise if it ever will support psvr"... But that doesn't mean no. There could be a chance that sometime later they create some mode graficaly less demanding and optimise that mode or parts of the game for it - just like many other games, including GTSport. Only thing special for GTSport, different from competitors, is that it will have some mode at least from day 1.

Will climate change be replicated correctly when the race is not 100% complete?
For example, if in a race with 100% of size, with 30 laps it rains in lap 10 and stops raining in lap 20, if that race is 50% of the size, that is 15 laps, it will rain on lap 5 and stop Rain on the back 10...

On the developer stream, I saw what seems to be the game recognizing 2 devices at same time - gamepad and wheel. Is this the case across all platforms? On PS4, I would love to map certain functions to gamepad and other functions to T300.

If it's like PCars1, then it depends on your weather settings for custom or online races.
In career races it will scale.

May have been known at this point, but I want to know if my laptimes will be saved. Saved as in, if im testing gt3 cars will it save my 1:xx:xx at X track so that when I try another gt3 car to see if its faster, is there a simple way I can see all of those laptimes for the relevant class?

Like a menu when Im selecting a track that can be just a quick glance to compare one car to another.

This part in the latest dev stream should answer your question I think:

Basically, when doing Time Trials, you can select ghosts from all people who uploaded one, including your own ones. With the filtering options, you should be able to quickly check in this menu what is your best lap time on the selected track in a given class or car.
