I remember a while back they said it will be in 5 minute increments now, no more 5-10-15-20-30-45-1hr, etc. So yes, you will be able to set up a race for 2 hours 40 minutes and use the x10 to make 24 hours.
Well, my job just got MUCH easier. Timed races now. I no longer need to run sample laps, calculate how many laps in a 2.4 hour period and then adjust lap count accoridingly....... THANK YOU!!!!:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

As in the nose lifting on a hill crest and being flipped backwards, like Bill Auberlen in the BMW V12 LMR at Road Atlanta in 2000 and Mark Webber in the Mercedes CLK GT1 at Le Mans in 1999.

Bill Auberlen's Crash

Mark Webber's Crash

Or like spinning out at high speeds, where the low pressure air from the rear end starts flowing the other way since the car is moving backwards at high speeds, which would equal the opposite of downforce (lift) which makes the rear end rise up and eventually lift the car up

@IanBell @The_American I'm watching AOR GT3 stream atm and just wanted to ask a question regarding the new spectator mode for PC2.

Does it have a replay system? Because most of the time you miss the action because you can only focus on 1 car at a time. I dont know if this is too difficult to do but just an observation.

Also possible to get onboard cameras for live races?

I'd say that's unlikely. Probably because they don't want to miss live action as well.

So I just saw the Jaguar xj9 video that was posted... Sound wise, it sounded exactly like something I would've heard in pcars 1. The suspension squeak was identical and there just wasn't much character in the sound of the car. It almost seemed like it needed more character to distinguish it from everything else. Is it too late in development to add in some spark?

Has car damage been worked on at all? Like will there be oil/fluid slicks on the ground from getting hit a certain way, better smoke effects , can cars catch fire and can bumpers drag on the ground?

^not too late, our audio team is still quite busy. Nothing in that video is final quality (I think it says it towards the bottom)

Ignoring the WiP nature of the content for a second, you guys can't be happy with the encoding of that video, can you? The technical quality of the upload is appalling, and people could be forgiven for thinking that's what the game runs like. As 'official' marketing material it leaves a lot to be desired. To be honest, the content itself could be more interesting and varied too. Dare I say I found it a tad... boring and repetitive?

Already been stated that fire is a big no no for the licences. No manufacturers want to allow that.

If I recall correctly, it was also stated that there would not be fluids on track from accidents.

The video's been taken down now so I think they might have noticed the same issues you have.

It's still up on MotoGamesTV along with the Forza comparison so still out there for people to crap on unfortunately.
The damage has already been done, it's tough to cover the bad things now as it's out in all social media.

One thing I loved about the video is how the driver makes a lot of corrections and it don't go into that weird powerslide that you can't get out of like in PCARS1
As well as the wet patches, this is the other thing I was really focusing on as key improvements to the first game. Yes, the video wasn't great to showcase much else but as a person already convinced by the game, I just wanted to see for myself what they have improved. Although that's probably why i'm less annoyed about the relative poor quality of the video and didn't actually notice it.

I'm right there with you Jake.

@The_American How is the oval gameplay coming along? We know that the reason it got left out of PCARS1 was AI issues (probably mostly cause of the sticky car bug).
Has this been 100 % fixed or are there still some kinks getting worked out?

Oh and I just remembered: does the NDA allow you to post on content that has already been revealed? As in: both Fuji and the XJR9 have been revealed, so is it allowed to post footage of these since they have already been disclosed to the public?

No.

In regards to Live Track 3.0:

I'm watching Supercars Practice. 50 minutes, about 60°F, 11:40 am, Autumn, Symmons Plains Tasmania.

After a downpour, the the track is drying with a mix of sun at the start and now it's cloudy.

A comment was made about the track drying, but spots where an over pass sits, is still wet and the front straight is wet. 8 minutes remaining and the drivers are on slicks punching out 1 second faster laps(and going faster).

I can't wait to get on it, in this game.

In Free Practice mode, are we able to assign AI cars to simulate track days or will cars AI cars be assigned by class?

If AI cars can participate in Fee Practice Mode, is it possible to watch them while I wait in my pit garage?

Free Practice you are alone always.

If you want to do Practice with AI do a race weekend and make a very long Practice session and select some AI
