Yea, I get my double posts modded instantly even though they're different topics but he gets to do that?! Where are the fish slaps?
That simply depends on when the staff see it, and just because you don't see something, don't assume nothing has happened.

I don't see what the fuss is about tbh, 4 questions in 1 post or spread out over 3, it's still the same amount of tekst.

but anyway i edited it.
The staff disagree, please don't double post.

Unless you're @IanBell , Wookies get mad and rip people's arm off!

After playing GT Sport beta, I found one thing pretty awesome. Contextual menu during races/driving. You can select sub option on D-Pad to change traction control, ABS, brake bias etc etc. Instead of giving us separate key bindings for each option. I think this is the best way, because of limited number of buttons on steering wheel, and using keyboard is not always comfortable. I hope we will see something similar in PCars 2 :)

I agree.

Especially if it can be made in a way that you can have the HUD completely turned OFF, and as soon as you press any of the D-pad buttons on the wheel, a small menu will pop-up and let you go through those options. It would then fade away by itself if/when left untouched.

I understand that some people may want the D-pad clear for other options (like looking right and left), but this would be very interesting as an alternative button layout for the options that are based on "+/-" or "ON/OFF" and that can be made on the fly.

Yes maybe an option but certainly not forced to use that as i have plenty of buttons & is certainly not the best method to be menu diving for basic controls. Brake bias for example is constantly used round a track. I also think its immersion braking even if it just pops up momentarily. I think they are including a modifier button which i think is a good idea.

Yes we already have this.

Well we play the competitor games too. And many of us agreed Codemasters did a decent job for this feature so thats what inspired us to do this. Really there's not much we haven't thought about. It's either lack of time/money/people or sometimes a particular feature does not fit our game or maybe a legal/license restriction.

For now you are making everything what is needed. MultiClass Racing, Dynamic time/day, dynamic wheather, seasons, 40-50 cars on track (even for consoles), new highly demanded car manufacturers licences, varied motorsport disciplines, massive amount of tracks, online behaviour index for players. And you have time to add nice additions like contextual menu for setting cars and pitstop animations... I think in the future others should take inspiration from your game. GTSport for example lacks in every aspects compared to PCars 2 for me (damn even to PCars 1).

Although like i said been a GT guy since i was born but i cannot go back to PD after PC. It was like being stuck in a contract for years waiting for something to improve but nothing has happened. My personal view set aside, i do however love the way GT Sport has done their cockpit audio will we be seeing anything similar in PC2

I just hope everything is executed and actually works. That's what makes me nervous. Trust me I'm excited but I don't wanna get on the game and then find out that half of the things they added didn't deliver or don't work. I got faith in SMS though.

It does sound like SMS are committed to raise the bar well over the first one. Time will tell, of course.

Amen to this:

"The absurdly complicated force feedback menu has been completely eradicated; it’s just one main initial “style” of feedback followed by four adjustment sliders like a guitar amp – and I expect that to be simplified even further."

EDIT: Just got a chance to finish reading the entire article. Pretty interesting.

Wow. I missed that part. There's simplified. Then there's massively simplified. Kudos. (Not Kunos)

Wow they still can't figure the ovals out.....? I hope that gets majorly improved before release. Also kudos to this guy coming out with this article. I like that he was being real and not praising the game like it's perfect or something. It's cool that it's no odd glitches happening so far.

The good part is that now they can actually improve it. They can go deep into the engine and change aspects of it which is not what they could do post release.

Race 07 sold nothing though... We're very happy with the direction we're going with pCARS2.

Interesting aside, the AI driver personalities were coded by us into Race 07 (before it was Race 07)... :) It was built on the GTR2 gameplay code base most of my team coded. They still function (in a much more nuanced manner) in our latest code.

I am surprised that Race 07 didn't sell well. It was a fantastic game with lots of official expansion packs and tons of unofficial add-ons.

Yeah, great article. Get back in your stock car and fold up PRC. Joke in the biggest sense of a sellout!
