Not true on PC. I can in fact turn on wipers while sitting in the pit box or being driven down pit lane. I can turn both wipers and lights on while sitting on the grid waiting for the lights.

Really? I was on PC too. Must check again this weekend... ;)

Hi

I have 2 questions,

Q1: is this game "Play anywhere" Xbox one / Windows 10 ? (one platform buy (digital) but playable on both). This would very nice to have, its a great feature on Xbox/Win 10.

Q2: Do you have news about the topic to fill an online lobby or own created Racing Championchip with AI? for people who doesn't have so much friend or didn't like to play online or cant (low bandwidth). I like to create my own Racing Championchip with rules etc. but drive it solo :)

Thank you !

In wet conditions there is more grip outside the dry racing line. Does livetrack 3.0 take it into consideration?

Andy Tudor said in the presentation that the racing line will be dynamic and he said how all the grip on the racing line will make the car more slippy. If I remember correctly of course.

@IanBell
will we see updated C7R?
Currently Project cars 1+2 is using a 2014 model with 2015 Livery
yet the 2016 Ford GT will be in the game???
so that brings the question? the car is already outdated in the current class it will race in.
would GM let you copy the new car?

Another question. With pcars 1 i always felt as if there wasnt enough motivation to complete many championships. Yes there was the zero to hero trophy, triple crown, etc. But those were just trophies. Are there going to be more things in pcars 2 that will make me feel satisfied after completing a long championship?

Edit: I know the phrase "unlocking things" is taboo among fellow GTP people, but something like a non essential portion of the game gets unlocked as you complete championships?

Most of, if not all, the invitational races had to be 'unlocked' by accomplishing something.
That is true, but even then there wasn't much desire to do them, not much payout other than some fun racing. Kind of hard to pinpoint what I'm talking about, but I just started playing gtr2 for the first time and the feeling I get completing stages of championships is the feeling I want in pcars 2.

How did it work in GTR2? I never played it.

If you haven't played to GTR2, you should do it! For me, GTR2 is the best racing game in the history (it's unbelievable it's a 10 years game old). I think it's still available on steam, and obviously it's a cheap game.

I honestly hope PC2 will be a deserving successor...

For me, the only thing I'm going to miss a lot in PC2 is Offline Championship mode, please WMD: try to add Championship mode (offline) post release... :bowdown:

We still have about 80% of the staff that made GTR2 so I'm hoping that also :)

To me, GTR2 is the benchmark that all other sims are held to. So far, nothing else has quite measured up. PCARS is the spiritual successor, and came close..... I hope PCARS2 finally unseats it and gives me a new benchmark.

So what I'm wondering is, since the pit system is being overhauled, will different car classes have different average pit stop times? For example: Formula A takes maybe 3 seconds but Prototype 2 takes almost 30 seconds?

^yes, the amount of crew "over the wall" varies per motorsport class. The top GT/Open-Wheel classes have the maximum of 4 wheel changers and 1 fuel filler so those will be the fastest pit stop times. We also have per-class fuel filling rates (iirc, Indycar is fastest at 3gal/sec)

This worries me. I'll have to wait and see which GT classes have in terms of wheel changing.

Could we have TT Circuit Assen please, the new layout and classic.

You need to post this request in the wishlist thread John. I was thinking Assen would make a great addition while watching the bike racing yesterday, but I am not sure how wide the track is. Some of the tracks which are great for bikes (e.g. Cadwell) are not so good for cars. If it is wide enough Assen has a really interesting mix of road crowns and cambers.

Will white lines and curbs be slippery in the wet? Also, when a car loses control and spins, will it actually travel a decent distance before stopping? If you watch F1 etc when a car loses it, especially in the wet, it will slide for a looooong time before stopping, usually stopped by a barrier or tyre wall.

@IanBell @The_American

I've taken this quote from your old mate Austin at PRC:
"Since Marco was impressed by my speed he disregarded the AI strength setting recommended by Slightly Mad Studios for the press event and set the slider to 100% strength and increased their aggressiveness as well, a slider that many longtime rFactor players will be familiar with."

Can I take this as confirmation that AI aggressiveness is now on a separate slider to their strength? Just asking because separate sliders for AI strength and aggressiveness was something I specifically asked for and I will be very happy if it's now in the game. Cheers.

Edit: Apologies, the article was by Sev, not Austin.

Yes, if painted. Grasscrete acts a little differently as it maintains similar grip characteristics wet and dry (ie. both less than standard asphalt).

Yes we have introduced an aggression slider in addition to the normal one.
