Last time you talked about this you said there were many sliders, six I think. Can you update that info for us?

He didn't say they had that many sliders, but that the AI had 7 different personality traits that they could place on sliders if they wanted to. I believe having full control over every personality trait is a bit too much, so I think giving us the AI strength and AI aggression sliders is perfect.

True, I'm curious what all the traits are though, even if we don't need to have control over them all individually.

I would imagine it'd be things like braking skill, racing line accuracy, bravery, temper, and I imagine back then agression was one of those 7 too. I could be completely wrong of course, and no doubt even if I am right, they're called different things in game, but I thought of it as a set of stats that make each AI driver slightly different to each other in how they drive.

With that said, it would be nice to know exactly what the personality traits are, and how they affect the driver.

Very very close :) We have traits such as 'nervousness when being pushed', 'red mist just after being passed' and those that you mention.

And what about AI presets? :) Instead of tuning AI we could select "Rallycross preset", "Indycar preset", "Gt3 preset" etc. :)

if you don't return to garage, you cannot change any setup apart from pit strategy. E.g. if rain comes you'd like to change some settings. So what is it good for.

I think he means the option in the in-game menu, that allows you to teleport back to your garage instantly.

i understood. But if you drive in, you have just the pit menu, no setup menu.
But if you want to simulate it for your self, you can return to the pit by driving first in and then exit to setup menu. But its not a must.

I understand what you mean.. on the f1 games they pull you back into the garage where you can do the setup/tyre charges ect but you can't do a "pit stop" (in practice and qualy) but on project cars you do the opposite (pit stop rather then getting pulled into the garage)

Now with this new quick menu we will have on pcars 2 there could be an option to do a pit stop or return to garage in the practice and qualy sessions.
Or with the manual control in the pits if you drive into the pit box the pit option will come up (change tyres/fuel damage) and if you drive straight into the garage you then go back to the garage screen. Will find out SMSoon? :P

@IanBell

Just wondering, but it would be nice if we had the ability in single player races to choose each individual AI's car and livery. So, for example you could have a mixed grid of LMP1 cars and GT3/E cars instead of only Prototype cars or GT cars like in the previous game.

With this feature we could recreate some real life races down to the individual car, so that would be a certainly welcome addition.

Already been said you can have up to 4 different classes in a race however you can't choose individual cars. I think that would be a great feature to implement as an update though. Racing games like this and forza need this feature...bad!

A WMD2 insider stated on NeoGAF that pCARS 2 is now in alpha. Does that mean it's feature- and content-complete, with just bug fixing and polishing between now and release?

At least four different classes is a start though.

There was no 'We're in Alpha' announcement on WMD from what I can see. My feeling though is that we're more focused on actual QA now, rather than dissecting new features or the usual 'awe' for a new piece of content.

On the other hand, experience tells me that SMS is always eager to surprise us, even during the final stages of the development cycle.

Now when you say four different classes, these classes dont have to be related to each other as in if you have gt3 and you want other classes it would say gt4/gte/lmp1/lmp2 are your choices, or is it actually like Gt3/Kart1/Road B/Lmp3 because if it is then life is about to be sweet.:cheers::gtpflag:

Any class combo as far as what I read. So even vintage Indy/ road B/ gt3/ time attack could be a possibility.

The latter I think was stated. The LMP/GT is just a common example.

This is something no one brought up as well, are we aloud to choose how many cars are in that specific class like if i wanted 8 LMP1/12 LMP2/ 18 GT3/ 20 GTE

I don't think they said that's a feature. I asked that last month too. As I would want to have maybe 4 c7r corvettes, 4 ford gtlms, 2 Porsche rsr, and maybe 10 Aston Martin's. But again here's hoping they make that into an update or who knows it could be thrown in at the last minute. I hope!
