@IanBell @The_American

I know you probably have gotten this a whole lot, but I'm curious and I would like confirmation:

Handling physics for controller users ever since NFS SHIFT have been, for brutal honesty, actively hostile. It takes a long time for most players to finagle with the settings to get something that doesn't feel like soap bars on ice. Have you guys done anything with regards to making the base settings for handling on controllers good right out of the box?
They did say that they have reworked gamepad settings and code, so fingers crossed it's a lot better out of the gate.

This was mentioned quite a bit toward the front of the Q&A Thread. You'll be pleased. But for all the information, you'll need to read the thread.

I mean, that's all great and all, but considering that I have bought most of the SMS games since SHIFT, and they have all had the same problems (Though in the defence of PCARS 1, most of the race cars were pretty good to drive off the jump, it was the road cars that had the biggest amount of problems) I'm going to need to see more.

See my question has already been answered. Aiight then, I'll bide my time waiting for a great racing sim then!

That's all we have at the moment. Im sure it will be a lot better than what we had before, just how much better is to be confirmed. This stuff is also quite personal, so one person has a different opinion from another.

Ian has stated here more than once that he played exclusively with the pad if only to get it precisely right because it was such an issue in the first title. That is probably about as good of an endorsement as you will get.

I haven't plugged in my G27 for a while now. I'm enjoying playing with XB1 controller for daily testing (just did a nice lmp2/GTE race at COTA, quite a technical course, today using XB1 pad). And I don't mess with any settings at all. It just works from fresh install (which I do daily). In fact, if you are thinking of buying a wheel _just_ for this game because of a prior bad gamepad experience with pC1, I would recommend you hold on to your money at this time. It's not necessary for a good Day1 experience. Also I'm running nearly the same Indy times with XB1 controller as I am with G27, so not just a subjective "feels good" report, talkin' real data. I'm pretty smooth with my steering inputs, so that's all very important to me. I've done league races running 3 wide into turns and manage to control my car and not ruin it for others (video furnishable upon request).

What about people who are used to the "tapping" style of driving from Forza? Does it also work OK or is there a preset like that for example?

I'm a smooth driver too and use a Xbox 360 controller, so that's good to hear.
Does PCars2 have only 1 default controller setup or is there multiple default setups for different driving styles? I'd imagine a controller setup that works great for smooth drivers might not work so well for tap steer drivers or people with sloppy inputs.

The Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, just announced they are looking at doing a Supercars eSports game. Perfect opportunity to showcase Project cars know-how.
But didn't state that Project CARS was one of the games which had Bathurst in. Although, I'd expect a series like Supercars who want to expand their reach to as many fans as possible to go for a multi-console game which simulates more elements of racing.

I found it just as puzzling. Why mention Gran Turismo, when they use an outdated car. There has also been no mention if Supercars and Australian road cars, are in GTS.

@IanBell @The_American have you ever considered including Gingerman Raceway in the game maybe as DLC? There was recently a festival there called Gridlife which is a time attack which I was in, car show, drift event, and music festival. Vaughn Gittin Jr. was there with a VR project cars demo at his trailer with many other pro drift teams. Here is a video of the track that I took over the race weekend. Unfortunately, its not in any games at the moment.
