Excluding cost, what would've the main reason for not having a series license like IndyCar 2016?

Just asking as found this where Alan Gow was willing to discuss RE: BTCC but apparently it's a monetary issue is the reason why it's not done. BTCC is a hugely requested series so there's that. http://www.motorsportmagazine.com/opinion/tin-tops/alan-gow-podcast-association-mercedes-benz

Gow said it was expensive to do a BTCC game and that's why there isn't one, I'd guess though that if you're adding it into an existing racing game it won't be that expensive. Project Cars already has a few BTCC tracks and they would need to model the cars (something they do anyway with new content and they have a good amount of the manufacturers licences already). Surely the licence to use the BTCC name and branding wouldn't cost that much, I mean they already use the WEC name and branding. It doesn't have to be a full season replicated, just a tier in the career mode with 5 or 6 races, authentic cars and the official BTCC licence.

Yes. And that's why a suggestion for it would be instead of making it a standalone game, it would be integrated into this. Even though they don't have all of the circuits currently, I don't think they'd be too difficult in negotiating. Especially when SMS have the BTCC on their side.

Is there a Rain Delay feature?
For instance, a timed online race has begun, rain gets heavy. Some players simply can't handle the poor conditions. For whatever reason. Is there a way to red flag the race, instruct players to return to pit lane and stop the clock?

Have some questions:
  • Are we going to have a AI driver mode within team (e.g. B-spec from Gran Turismo 4/5) and driver changes?
  • What about support for multiple cars per pit box (e.g. Nurburgring; making effective use of the 'pit box currently occupied' message)?
  • Can we have a clock on the HUD that tells what time it is on the track as we race (essential especially for timed duration races)?
Would like to ask about the simulation time progression question again since I'd rather have more granular (finer) control over time simulation and timed race length setup (would rather want in increments of one, especially the fact that we use a keyboard whenever we use a computer!), although that question may have already been answered.

Who really wants everything to be like real life? Most of us just want them to put resources into getting the important & entertaining things right. I didn't read it all but they are complaining about the lack of collisions in pits in one part but i would guess things like that are about having to simplify some things or they could be spending too much time trying to get the ai to work in the pits when most don't really care too much.

The pit lane bit had no relevance to me, but when it comes to single player I have always wanted a career mode with some of those features.
For example, as it is in any sort of racing game my driving style is super aggressive, I'd love the added immersion from the thought that I need to be careful on the tyres all weekend, especially in categories where you have just a single set for the weekend. Then the added intensity of trying to nail the perfect lap in qualifying while knowing if I bin it I'll be racing in a car that isn't quite right if it even makes the grid.

I could go on and on. While I won't claim to be in the majority with my views because I honestly don't know, I would like to see how much, if at all these little things are considered

After seeing those videos, these have answered my hopes for the racing game i was always looking for. One question, saw that you improved the crew chief in the game with more responses, i have also seen that in the rallycross video that the spotter has been integrated. Will the spotter be as active during circuit racing as well. @IanBell @The_American

I'm really hyped for this game after seeing the latest videos and screenshots, but i have to be sure about one thing before i pre order: will pCars2 have the same grid sizes (up to 45 cars) as the first one on console, and will it run smooth and without problems on console with that amount of cars in the track?
This is very important for multiclass racing.

Question was already answered and it is YES :)

Tbh I'm expecting a similar level of performance as the first game with that many cars on track, namely some mild tearing and frame drops.

I rarely race with that many cars so not a big deal for me, but I would be pleasantly surprised if the standard PS4 or Xbox don't have some small performance hits under certain situations. As for the Pro and One X I'm sure it'll play better on those. It kinda has to.

In pCars1, when i do races with a big number of cars i sometimes have stuttering problems that make the game almost unplayable, so i am a bit worried for the performances of pc2 on xb1, especially with livetrack 3.0 and the graphical improvements that are coming...

@IanBell Will the P1 have back fire in Project cars 2? "This is what i mean" Its really disappointing driving the P1 in PCs 1 and not seeing it back fire at all, And believe me i drive the P1 alot in PCs1 over 8K miles and counting :)

Pretty sure it will be since DLC was integrated in PCars1
I didn't think it was fully integrated into the original title. I know the AI would use some of the DLC cars, but I do not recall ever having the opportunity to drive any of the DLC cars ourselves (Team Contracts) as part of the of the Career Ladder. Correct me if I am wrong on this.

I'm pretty sure if you started a new career you had the option to choose DLC cars. 99.999% sure

I'm still hoping for more visual variety in the backfire and overrun effects. Some Gran Turismo-style short sharp explosive 'pops' would look really great thrown into the mix. All I've seen so far is the slow-burn 'flamethrower' type that were ubiquitous in pCARS 1, like the cars are having a fart-lighting competition.

Hi, i wanted ask how many players will have multiplayer lobbies? Is it possible 22/24?
There will be the formation lap and a Safety car system like in F1 2016?
Last thing in tracks list we've 56 locations will be added other 4?
Thx for ur reply
