Cool thread, I've been meaning to open a similar one.

My minor gripes with the game:

- in the Showcase section of the game, the manufacturers and cars are listed in a different order between PC/mobile browser and game. Would be better to sort them the same way.

- The "Back to the main menu" under the GT Menu doesn't work inside events, only when you already backed out (and are usually a couple of O button presses away from the main menu). Considering you need to press Options + down down down + X, it doesn't seem all useful. Would be cool to move it further up too for faster access. (maybe bind it to the touchpad like Driveclub)

- in the livery editor, backing out of Decal Settings/Layer Controls/Decal Colour places the cursor above the Transform settings (instead of their respective buttons). This can lead to misclick and overall is not very intuitive.

- TCS settings were better the way they worked in GT Sport imho (per car, instead of global). Whether a bug or an intended feature, would be nice to have the ability to choose.

I don't know if someone's mentioned it but access to the tuning parts menu or ability to buy parts from the settings menu when you're at the race screen both in the single player or online.

My car needs this to be eligible, I gotta come right back out and into the main screen, over to tuning, do that, come back out and go all the way back where I was, it's a bit irritating at the mo.

@Bring back Race Mod for most / all cars

I find that pretty easy to do yourself with that options in the GT Auto Menu, where you can adjust the road cars with spoilers and wings and other racing items
I do that very thing but as you said, it's not quite the same. Purpose built and tuned race cars are amazing on the track.

1. Ability to sell (or discard) any car in my garage. I don’t want to be forced to keep clutter I don’t want. It’s my garage. Supposedly.

2. Ability to remove that mtx button from the top of the map page next to my credit balance. Just no Sony, I ain’t ever gonna fall for it and it makes me despise you.

3. What everyone else is saying about menu music, I like some of it but don’t have time to waste hanging about on one screen for too long. Gotta earn money to buy those big-ticket cars, right?

4. An alternative way (like GTS’s leagues) to access the races other than looking around for them via the three time zones and individual circuits. If I jump in a GT-R and want to do the GT-R Cup races, how many are there, and where the hell are they? (Three, Tokyo Exp, Dragon Trail, D Forest, but I only know this BECAUSE I’VE HAD TO WRITE THIS STUFF DOWN IN A NOTEBOOK! It’s 2022 FGS!)

Probably been mentioned before but a quick menu like GT6 had. I'd love to be able to quickly switch my car while say in GT Auto or Tuning Shop as this would prevent me from having to go through a bunch of menus.

A global 'assist settings' available in the game options. I play a lot of 2 player battle with friends and such and some of them can't play without the use of aids but if there is one thing I hate is having to go and actually enter a campaign race just to get the option to change it for them. I really liked it how it was in Sport where you could change it pre-race.

Some Custom Race QoL Features I Want:
  • Scaled Payment depending on the current License earned.
  • Ability to use any car for AI opponents. Garage selection can stay.
  • Seasonal conditions (Snow, high heat, etc).
  • Update Spa to full 24 progression.
  • Maybe save the settings and share them in Collections so friends and other players can try your challenges (this seems unlikely, sounds like hard work for PD).
  • When choosing "Endurance", the time should be a user input for more accuracy.

Hi,

IMHO:

1- Just fix the damn dirt/drift tire bug introduced with the 1.06 patch. With so little to do in career mode at the moment, screwing with the licences and the missions is inadmissible. With patches almost daily, a very simple thing they screwed up can't be fixed after 4 days?
2 - In GT Auto, when you exit one of the shops inside, it exits all the way to the map. You go to maintenance, you should exit to GT Auto and go to customization, it's a little annoying thing, you always go to world map. On a standard PS4 its ages you lose :D
3 - Stats from Sports races. Made one daily race A, more than 24 hours ago, still nothing in my profile, zero races done.
4 - GT Sport decals available (at least the ones you upload) without having to share them. I (and many others, I believe) uploaded decals to our unique liveries, it's so hard to realize we don't want to share to community this decals?

oh there's a lot:
  • - Better tire information and setting options. If my tires are cold I want to know that, if I drive my tires too hot I HAVE to know that, if my tires deliver less grip due to dirt, then I should know that before the next corner. This can be done very easily using colors for the tires. The same applies to the air pressure in the tires, since these values are simulated and calculated anyway, according to statements by PD, it would only make sense to give us this information and to be able to set the air pressure ourselves.
  • - A weather report before the respective race, so that I can see and estimate when the rain will be there and how much rain is to be expected.
  • - Tuning and buying other parts if I'm already in the menu for a race or similar (I know that's been said before)
  • - A tuning optimization tool as a helper for those who don't know it or don't want to. It doesn't have to be the very best setup, but at least one that is easy to drive. Preferably with the possibility of whether stability or speed is more important. The whole thing as a slider so that you can change it according to your own preferences.
  • - Ability to share settings of my vehicles with my friends or other players so they can try my setup. That would help settle the discussion of BoP or not BoP as well.
  • - I would like to be able to create whole championships and race with friends or other players, whether in one day or maybe even spread over several days / weeks. I imagine that would be great fun.
  • - In online mode, a feedback function on how you felt about the race overall and maybe even an evaluation of the other players with + or -
  • - a duty for online races to have the appropriate licenses and then the whole thing, for example. linked to the driver rating. I think that e.g. Gr3 players. want to race or even higher must have at least all S licenses on silver or gold and for Gr4. would be e.g. all S in bronze necessary. Or you have to have mastered the track experience accordingly for the track in question.

On tire temperature, can't wrap myself around the fact (PD fact, so to speak) that I get ice cold tires after a rolling start. To have a rolling start means a warm up lap immediately before. Cold tires should only be a case after pit stops, at rolling starts you should have some degree of temperature. Also, every type of tire seems to be so temperature sensitive as slick tires.

Well, the thing is, they got the DR and SR from GT Sport, you would restrict access to races to someone o has a S+ rating from GT Sport just because he didn't bother to achieve Circuit Experience or something like that?

First point, that's it.. I'd like to see how it connects to the road and how the tires are doing.

To the second point
Well, getting bronze / silver / or gold track experience before you can go on this track for this week isn't the biggest stumbling block, especially for class A / A+ / S drivers OR am I seeing it wrong?
And in principle it only has to be done once per route and then it's good. My thought behind it is more that the field of drivers might even fit together better in terms of their times.

  • Fully customizable hud
  • Dash view with no steering wheel
  • The mirror from bumper cam available for all views
  • TC and ABS in the car settings menu
  • The ability to sell ALL cars
Yeah, fully customizable HUD would be a blessing. For the best immersion having no HUD at all and driving only using cockpit view would be great.

As for the TC and ABS in the car settings, you can change them mid race or in the "help menu". ABS can only be changed in the menu yeah but ABS is not something you turn on/off with a switch anyway.

Most people seems to have an issue with going back into menus they don't want, but quite frankly, the load times are so quick that it doesn't even bother me. Unless, we are talking about PS4 users then...

Another great feature I would've loved is to, in custom races, YOU select the cars the AI drives and you yourself could create 1-lap magic missions yourself. This is a really missed opportunity by PD, imagine the content you could create with a feature like this.

First of all, thanks for creating this thread, it is really needed. Hoping PD sees this eventually! This reminds me of the similar thread called "minor things that grind your gears in GTS" back then. It was a great place to complain about stuff and hope that someday, our problems would be heard  . There's a lot of little things I want to point out, so here we go:

- Leaving the GT auto sections brings you back to world map. ex: If you change driving gear and want to change your car livery afterwards, you need to go back to the world map before re-entering GT auto to select car customization

-Don't like the small cutscenes before start on each race. I mean the in-race animations right after you press start. They get frustrating when doing licence tests lol

-No need for characters like Rupert and the pros to be there. Especially since those tips never really help me .I'm aware that this is part of the Japanese game culture, but it takes away the more "serious" side GT sport had imo.

- When you pass an opponent, it shows on the right of the screen what's the car you just passed. Don't know if it's like that online but I suppose so. Useless since you can already see car names on the top left if you want. Add this to the driver name above the others car's and its a mess to see what's happening at times.

- Not having advanced HUD display options isn't helping that last one

-There's a little "echo effect" in the sound produced by pressing X when applying something on to your car . Weird to describe. It was driving me nuts when I had to duplicate lots of consecutive layers in livery editor, for example

- I don't like the way showcase is displayed. Thumbnails are smaller than before and the "frames" are too big. Conversely, the GT website is well displayed though

- You cant sell cars... but you can spend your real money though

Love dynamic weather but man, one second should not be a minute in a simulation game. It could've been displayed only in endurance races, for example. This is a major deception for the career mode. It literally changes from one lap to another, all the time.

- The world map traveling should not be that complicated. GT always been known for clean menus and easy navigation. This honestly looks like a forza Horizon camp, and I find it a little childish.

-When buying a specific paint in GT Auto, the car(s) shown in the sample are the 3 same. Not cool to visualize that Rosso Corsa red on a Supra or a Beetle :/ I liked the sample shells from GTS.

Dang, almost forgot about my beloved cones already... I really don't like the new braking point system. The cones had some sort of amateur feeling to it, and they could slow you down and everyone else who used them on the track as well if you weren't careful. These pinkish-reddish lines on the tarmac are horrendous for everyone looking to have a close-to-simulation experience.

The PS trophies are a joke for the most part. Maybe I'm wrong since I don't have them all yet.

- Not a big fan of the "collect your ticket" and roulette thing. Looks very similar to the GTS roulette system.

Livery editor:
When changing different layers with the same color, you have to scroll a bit to the left (each time) in order to reach your last color in the color history. Usually no big deal but it took me less time in GTS.

-Why in the world can't we group shapes to make one? Huge timesaver it'd be! I remember this from Forza 4, deceived that it is still not in the game in 2022

- When changing tire stickers, rotating the camera with the joystick also moves the sticker selection

-In GTS you could choose "front" or "back". With the body now being a single unit, it is a lot harder to center decals. Maybe I haven't found the trick yet. ( I now duplicate on opposite side to see how far I am from the center)

Don't get me wrong, I love Gran Turismo more than any other game. It is the game I play every single day when possible, and I'm not about to drop it, for sure. A lot of things got better already so can't wait for the next updates too see how they improved it :)

You can still do this in GT7 it just feels a little less intuitive. When you pick body, go to the projection button and it gives you the options like in sport: left, right, front, back and roof

I would like the ability to adjust FFB Dampening effect and center spring. Theres far too much dampening going on in FFB and in every PC Sim I've played with too much Dampening and center spring just reduces the FFB effects felt in the wheel. I know theres FFB Torque and FFB Sensitivity. I've played with those settings but they don't do what I want.

Probably not strictly 'QOL' but a few things I noticed on the Nordshleife:

Love to see them add the missing building on the outside of Bergwerk, if you watch real life footage, on that corner you can see a very prominent building on the outside in the trees. Is it a Marshalls hut/building or something?

Also a little further up past Bergwerk, (IRL) the tree line has been cut down on the left hand side, just before left curve allowing a view up towards Kesselchen.
(See Misha Charoudins Track walk vids)

They did add the 'deadly AstroTurf' strip though on the right just before Hohe Acht!
So hats off for that!

Other stuff:
The sounds are incredible and very very accurate, and I spend hours just watching my replays, but would just love to hear much louder Up-Shift cracks/backfires like in real life.

Example here of a beastly R32 :

Adjustable or at least dynamic hud, it's 2022 ffs
And bring back the traffic cons instead of ugly inaccurate braking line or whatever it's called

Most of this is already stated elsewhere, but:
  • Car changing/setups should be from anywhere in the menus like GT6 has
  • Allow buying parts from Car Setup menu
  • GT Auto should return to Maintenance/Customize/Suit menu if leaving instead of back to map
  • Menu Books should have "go to Cafe" button when a quest is done
  • Licenses and Circuit Experiences need ability to navigate between tests in pre-race screen (this wasn't a thing in NTSC-J of GT4 apparently?)
  • Finding other people (without PSN friendship) should be made easier - currently you can do it only from Showcase menu (not My Menu from GT menu)
  • Search consistency - it seems to use tags exclusively on game but the website seems to allow also searching on titles?
  • Content searches from My Menu (currently it can only be done from Showcase or Livery Editor/GT Auto)

Permanent radar on screen like ACC has, sometimes you need to control you fuel maps or change something else so it would be a great feature to have overall and expecially in Sport mode.

Allow me to disable / relocate HUD items one by one just like in PCars 2.

When I finish a Café Menu, take me to the Café straight away.

When I'm in a menu in GT Auto, if I back out put me in the main GT Auto menu and not the World Map.

Move the body kit option to the car personalisation menu, I think it makes more sense and would prevent unnecessary button inputs.

Allow me to change car anywhere in the Menu just like Sport.

Allow me to apply liveries in the garage just like Sport.

Allow me to buy performance parts in the car setup menu.

Allow me to see how much downforce customization parts can potentially add to the car.

Allow me to reset a car's setup without having to create a new tuning sheet.

When I'm doing licenses / circuit experiences have a "Next" button so we don't have to back out to select the next one.

In the Showcase menu allow me to sort items by "All-time popular" like we could in GT Sport (and GT Sport's community website).

Let menu songs play in it's entirety regardless of changing menus, also let me assign race songs to the menu and vice versa.

for the love of god, a button to activate and deactivate the ghost
A theater where we can see our photos and replays, with an option to edit then or pass beetwen them
an option to sort items of the showcase, most popular, new, most shared
an option of "wide body" to find styles in the showcase
