Provided there's sufficient time between the posts (preferably days, certainly not minutes) and you're adding something to the discussion, there's no worries about receiving an infraction for a double post.

As for the ones that have received infractions for double posting, they're the ones that do it after being asked in thread (read: no infraction or warning given) to stop, they fail to do so, receive an official warning (still no points) and either continue and are elevated to an infraction or get all pissed off and receive an infraction. No one has ever been banned simply for a single double post.

Single double. I feel like I'm at Wendy's or something. :P

I know, but I am continually surprised by fellow forum members who don't follow that... And by the lack of specified examples.

I have come to know that it is impossible to give someone an alert via an edit, so if you forget to tag a person... Should you PM them?

If it's super duper life threateningly important I would. If not, we never had tags before, so...

"Hey, I tagged you! This is your alert!"

I wouldn't bother. But that might just be me.

I think, if someone is being informed of their status on a team, or a penalty (as an example) in GT6 racing series, it might be of value, but certainly not for just a random discussion.

👍 I'll use them sparingly. Thanks.

Pretty much for not following moderator instructions?

There are examples if you look, and a couple of my threads that I made, I had this clarified and did it properly. Not sure what part doesn't make sense on the double posting. As long as it isn't spam like you see from new users there shouldn't be a major issue from what I've learned.

Are any of the mods here mods on more than one forum? Is it hard enough to be a mod on one forum, let alone plural?

Who here is a mod else where, but not here?

I'm an admin on a forum I made and I almost became a mod on another forum. (Didn't become one because I started to became inactive; the game the forum was based around started to lose my interest)

I don't mod any other sites because I don't frequent any other sites.

I've been an admin and mod on several websites under this and other usernames.

I used to moderate a music fan forum, a local car club forum, a local general car site, and two internet car magazine forums. Also a moderator for two or three FB groups, though I don't have to do much there.

I've been here longest, and I'm most active here.
