You know, after a good few hours on the game today the collisions are really anoying me. I don't mind the AI being agressive, the problem is that colliding with the AI is like colliding with a wall in many cases. Your car goes flying or spinning off and they just carry on

I had toca 3 at one time and it was a good play if you weren't looking for realistic. What annoyed me on toca was the open wheel cars. I would be doing great and then one of the AI cars would be trying to pass me and we would end up doing the open wheel tango which caused me to wreck and he barely moved:ouch: Was so annoying.

Just got the TVR gt challenge to do on europe rookie level then I can see what these special chalenges are about. Haveing trouble hooking the TVR up on donington reverse, little tail happy in the mid range LOL I had 2 attempts at playing grid last night but post BBQ beers proved the advice of "don'tdrink and drive" LOL

Yeah a few guys on UGVX (360 forum I fequent as a PS3 owner and voice of reason LOL) have reported they have problems getting in and staying in races plus the freezeing issue, though this has been described as occasional split second freeze, as if it's loading but the online problems seem to be more anoying.......As the PS3 seems fine I would imagine it's a Live problem and as such should be fairly easy to isolate and patch.


UGVX is a place I first went on when I got my 360 (long since deceased) and a good source of nfo for the 360 guys.👍

It is harder than the demo made it out to be, the demo was easy. I'm still wishing the handling was less twitchy but I'm having fun. I've just bought a TVR Tuscan Challenge.

That's why I didn't finish Pro Race Driver. It started out pretty easy, then it got pretty ridiculous.
 
Happened to see video of the game today. Looks great and didn't sound bad. Backgrounds were nice and car detail was good. The handling did look a bit on the side of a fun racer instead of a sim but that's cool.
Makes me wonder if X360 users will be enjoying this instead of PGR titles. :confused:
I could also see this being a big hit with non-GT players on the PS3.

I'm glad to see codemasters doing something like GRID. 👍

Ha... seriously? PGR, especially 4 is a big fat FAIL compared to GRiD. In fact, even comparing PGR to GRiD is an insult to the GRiD demo even.

I found that a particularly hard challenge. I think you mean the TVR on the Milan Circuit?

Man that was really pushing that tailhappy TVR.

Well, at least you knew. Here (Portugal) the announced release date was the PAL release date, May 30th, but ... there's nowhere I can find it. :grumpy:

Acording to most stores I've contacted, they'll have it for sale only next wednesday ... :grumpy: :grumpy:

Yeah, to me PGR was some of the biggest turds ever to be crapped out of a game company:crazy:

I've not done the European challenge event yet (still got one event to win outright on it - done the US one), but I have to say I actually realy liked the TVR events. I found both the US and European ones to be great fun and loved the car, I would agree its tail-happy, but its far more predictable than the likes of the Viper (which I now hate).

Well, on most tracks I'm finding the lower-end racing cars to be cornering a little faster than I do, even when I think I've taken a corner near perfectly. It's starting to annoy me quite a lot now, even on Serious difficulty...
 
I liked the viper........oh well horses for courses and all that. Just spent an enjoyabe hour online playing the demolition derby section of grid.......seriously funny, ok it's not racing but theres cars in it....well bits of cars all over the track LOL
 
Is there something like a time trial - mode in GRID?
haven't seen it, but its saving lots of ghost laps lol. what for if not tt i wonder?
One more question... is it possible to turn the HUD off completely, i mean including who and what not joined and left the lobby? its so annoying( to me atleast)!

BTW its sold out everywhere, here in my town lol

Yeah if you goto "my cars" then select one and take it for a test drive you'l find you can race the top ranked ghost there. Just managed to unlc the top teir of races.....some good races under the glass by the looks of it!
 
I really like this game so far. The LMS is my very very favorite. Haven't unlocked it yet in carreermode, but within the "Race Day" menu you can race them. Absolutely gorgeous and edge of your seat racing.

I have until now no problems with the AI. There are no problems when you are faster or at the same speed as them.

I'm jolly excited ;)
