I've got absolutely no pace. My car will not go any faster than it just did.

Considering 2 weeks ago I was almost 30 seconds faster than anyone else over race distance...

Things change. Just because you're much faster at 1 track doesn't mean you'll dominate.

I remember at Silverstone National in ToCA where me & Furi did a test last season and I couldn't match him at all and I was trying hard until I finally found that lap time to just about beat him. Normally I'd expect myself to comfortably be quicker than him but that test session I was baffled as to why I was slower for a good 20 minutes.

Also this is Monaco so anything can happen in the race and you could well be the one that keeps it on the road.

So my race recap (a must read, I've seen films made about far less ):

First lap, terrible start, back to 6th. Midway through the lap, I went side by side with @MrUnknown, and got clipped sightly sideways. This sent me into the side of @Ettick, giving me front damage to my right, and presumably some form of damage to Ett.

The battle between me and Ettick went on for about 10 laps, since we'd both received damage, we were quite eveny matched. Marunda, rcb and Ciro were streaking away. I felt like chucking in the towel once Ettick got past me and made some ground up. I did manage to do the right hand side of my suspension in too, to even it up, but it just gave

After about 20 more laps of hell, I noticed the gaps had stabilised. This was the point where rcb DC'd, and I ended up back in 4th. The next thing I know, Ettick is in the pits (after I'd gained a ton of time on him from nowhere), and I move up to 3rd.

Then I get confused about where everyone is, thinking Ciro was still on the back of Marunda - which wasn't the case.

Then I realise that people are pitting for tyres, and in a strange turn of events, my worn rear tyres were giving me the handling I couldn't get with my setup.

I saw Ciro come out of the pits just ahead of me, and with my car going decent 45's on worn rears, I actually nearly caught up to him for a few laps.

Then, with Ettick out, I had to stay on the lead lap. Marunda was just behind me, and with him nearly a lap ahead but not quite, I just got onto the last lap as he finished.

And that, gentlemen, was my bizarre race. :D

Points updated, so far Honda Racing is the favourite. 👍 There's also many ties in the Drivers' Standings. :D
