Racers Reunited. It's over! RR GT6 is no more. Tuesday's will now be for GTS (Maybe PC2 some times)

Here are some other suggestions:

- Fiat 500s (modern vs old) at GT Arena.
- Toyota Yaris 2012 around Motegi.
- Focus ST 2013 at Autumn Ring
- Mégane 2007 at Circuit de la Sarthe 2009 with weather and time variable.

suzu 4200R on C/S at Maiwald

From Sicks experience the custom tracks work better with practice then race without a qualifier stage.
So we either use practice for the grid order or we make a manual grid like in Zero Cup.

Those user-made tracks are like poison with lag!
Yep the custom tracks are more laggy but this club is just fun races. We try not to get too serious. It's a bit of a laugh...so we just enjoy the experience whatever that may be. :D Good suggestion John. Ascari's only good with the right cars otherwise it's nasty!!

Thanks for considering my suggestion Zo, but if the consensus is its too much trouble, I definitely won't take it badly if you use a different track/ suggestion. ;)

EDIT: Only saw other messages after posting this one!

Would anyone be interested in a lounge this evening? If not been on GT for ages and am just wanting to get back into it. If anyone is around this evening it'd be great!

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier cg. I wasn't on last night, but I think that the Zero Cup chaps might have been. Between that and Sick Cylinder's rooms racing can be found on most days of the week.

If you want to join us on Tuesday you're more than welcome, but try to get some miles in round Maiwald first if you can, it does take a bit of getting used to.

Cheers, Zo.

Sorry I to have seen this a bit late otherwise I'd have fired up GT6 and joined you. Hope someone turned up.

Stick the edge/grass grip on low instead of real Zo, it'll help in keeping everyone pointing in the right direction.

Suggestion.
Lotus Elise 111R race car '04 (untuned) on CS around "Another Racetrack" or maybe "Lakeside Park"
(Possibly with light boost which seems to work very well at CM tracks that folks don't know)

Yep, I'll do that.

And, in addition, I've had a bit of an epiphany. I completed the Season TT at Willow Springs and won the Ferrari SP1. It's a fantastic machine and, at the same 465pp as the Isuzu, closely matched in performance. So, I've decided to allow people to bring it along on Tuesday if they want (Isuzu is still there as well). I don't know how much it costs, but the Willow Springs TT is a doddle to gold; it's definitely worth winning.

Cheers, Zo.

EDIT,EDIT: For those who don't get time to practice this event, I would suggest using the SP1, it is a bit (a lot, actually) easier to handle than the Isuzu, but the Isuzu has a tiny edge in straight line speed. They're both ace though, so whatever you do, turn up!

That's the issue I'm afraid. I'd love to race with you guys regularly but Tuesdays aren't possible for me anymore. I'll look out for Sick Cylinder's rooms though!

I'd be up for any of johns suggestions.

No, haven't seen harsk in a while...
I've just had a look at the Muscle Car thread & seen that maybe you live in Edinburgh?
I go there sometimes for work & as this is the club for Reuniting with Racers, I thought I'd ask in this thread. If you'd be up for a beer in Edinburgh next time I'm there, let me know via PM.
It would be like Racers Reunited goes live!

I don't have access to the TV tonight so I'm out from racing the Isuzu/Ferrari combo.
Instead I'll be working on getting one of the Zero Cup races from yesterday up on YouTube.
Have a good one, guys.

Edit;
Ran into some problems with the Zero Cup video.

Chaps, I've got about 200 replays of online races in my gallery. So, next one on the thread, can you give me a random number between 1 and 200 and I'll count down to it and we'll use that as the basis for next Tuesday's quiet racing :)

Cheers, Zo.

Grrr, missed the races again. :dunce: Next week i'll be missing too -- i'm in the midst of holiday preparations, skimming through booking portals: the horrors... I think we are going to hop in the car and drive into the sunset and see where we will end up. :dopey:

200+ replays @Zolon32! That might be what occasionally slows down your system. They are quite big (20mins is approximately 20mb) and are added into the GT6 data file which in time gets fragmented. Any pictures taken are also included in this file. It would be good to have a clear out occasionally.
I'm sure this is why Sick has slow downs too

I've got 18 replays and 19 pictures. ;)

we can blow the froth off a couple
A great term. :)

I think we are going to hop in the car and drive into the sunset and see where we will end up.
Sounds like a plan without a plan. Excellent.

Cheers Suts. I'll have a count and see where it gets me.

Russia or Kazakhstan at a guess 👍

Nooooooooooo! I can't get rid of my replays, I love watching old races. I suppose I could have bit of a clean out of some though, on reflexion. (But it's going to be hard.)

Cheers, Zo.

EDIT: So, number 88 is Rockets, at a Death Valley custom track. I think it's one built by Paul especially for Rockets. Come to think of it, I'll have a peek at Paul's list and tell you where it is!

EDIT EDIT: I think it's Rocket Raceway, suitably enough. Given the grief we had with Maiwald I think we'll have to have a backup track ready in case the custom one doesn't work, but that's next Tuesday's racing for you, Rockets, stock on C/S tyres.

I'm not sure but I think Death valley tracks maybe have less lag. I don't recall so much on the races I've done there. Have to wait and see.

There's one in there called "Big Bends" which is also a Death Valley Rocket special you might want to try. It's the track I once mentioned that in theory is top gear flat out for the most part.

C/S or C/M (as before)?

C/S or C/M (as before)?

Funnily enough, on the replay we're using C/S. We used C/M for Sick's series. C/S is fine by me, nice to have a bit of grip every now and then.

Flat out all the way sounds........ different. But we might as well give it a go once we've had a couple at Rocket Raceway, it's all very casual anyway.

Cheers, Zo.

Thanks for the tip, just bought a tourist guide from this nice young man:

Great Success!:D

Hey guys,

sadly I'm still not able to join the Tuesday events. But I'm always keeping up with what's going on at Racers Reunited or Zero Cup as I hope to be able to join some day again.

I've noticed that you guys are racing some custom tracks now and then. Since I can't join actively maybe I can passively offer a track of mine. ;)

It's Portimao which luckily won some TOTW last winter. I've done a major revison recently with the help of eran004's elevation editor tool. The whole elevation of the replica was customized and models the original elevation perfectly now in my opinion.

So if you're interested you could give this track a try and experience new terrain for everyone. But the ca. 1 km long homestraight wouldn't suit the Rocket so another combo could be useful.

Looking forward to see you on track one day again.

Pontiacs at Portimao could be fun. I would be up for @Patrick8308's track next week
racing untuned Pontiacs. Maybe the Firebird, or the GTO 5.7.
What say you, Zo?

I've always quite liked the Solstice.

Here, here Paul. I'd be right up for some Pontiac Puntin' at Portimao Jocke, but I've got my plan for next week sorted already. 6th September would be okay though.

Cheers, Zo.
