RallyX sounds like great fun but ive got a really bad week for work and family stuff.
I'm really trying not to avoid you Zo although it might seem that way recently!!
I don't think I'll make it tonight but try my best to come in for the last race if possible?

there was nothing on tonight.
Thanks Paul.
I came online 2130 and found Zo hadn't been on for quite a few days then re-read the thread and realised I'm a week too early.
Unfortunately next Tuesday is worse so apologies in advance as I can't attend.
Have fun threading the gap of the willow barriers!:scared:

By the way, love your new signature Paul.

Sorry Zo, I can´t join this RallyX event.

You know that you're welcome to join us any time Hakan, but thanks for letting me know on this occasion.

That gap in the wall might be big trouble.

Not for a man of your talent Jammy, I expect you can get through flat out. Others might employ a little more circumspection ;)

Suts, you'll be missed. Sorry for not being here last Tuesday. As far as I can recall I was slipping some ridiculously cheap own brand beer down my neck on a gloriously balmy evening, but my memory is very hazy, for some reason.

Cheers, Zo.

To solve the congestion problem Zo's installing temporary traffic lights. ;)

@Zolon32 There is a gate at Ascari that can also be used. After our previous outing I did try to sort out additional parts to the infield that could be used. There is the gate and a possible jump! I'll have to show you somehow.

I mean someone coming back to the track and someone coming off the track - cross driving. Let's see how it goes.

I'm hoping that those coming out will apply common sense, use the map and back off where necessary Jammy. This might be more difficult if someone is involved in a scrap.

In fact, you've given me an idea... minor route change on exit. I'll explain in the room on Tuesday.

That might help.

Cheers, Zo.

So the cars coming from the track (going off the track) has priority over those coming back to track. Is that what you're saying, right?

Yes Jammy. The ones coming back on to the track will be 20-25 seconds ahead of the ones coming from it, and travelling much slower. They are in a better position to give way. The RallyX races will be just 4 laps long anyway, so I hope it doesn't happen very much.

Cheers, Zo.

Hey Zo, I'd like to participate in the RallyX races :). I tried upgrading the GT86 to the specs ( max weight loss, stage 3 engine tune, sports computer and sports exhaust ) in the OP and could only manage 289bhp and 472pp .

It'll be great to have you Aaroh. I'll double check my settings and get back to you.

Cheers, Zo.

EDIT: Thanks for the prompt Aaroh, I'd missed off sports cat and intake tuning :dunce:. OP now updated.

Gap in the wall is so easy to missed both entries and hit the wall :scared:

By the way; how's first race starting grid is decided?

There will be five minutes of solo qualifying for the first race Jammy, effectively a one shot lap. Reverse grids from then on.

I've messed about a little bit with the in/out through the wall issue and slightly modified the route to eliminate that problem (still going in, but coming out by a different route). It's a minor change and can be covered in the room on Tuesday.

Cheers, Zo.

Could you tell (or by the picture) what the change is and I could check that tonight?

Is there a special offer on this week? :P

I should have mentioned that it's free... with every purchase of customisable suspension and transmission ;)

I'll describe it Jammy. You enter, pass the sign and go around the cylinder just as in the video. However, having turned around the cylinder you now pass down to the left hand side of the two signs which, in the video, you weave between ie, pass to the left of the Toyota sign.

You then turn immediately right, passing with the two signs on your right, and a low wall on your left. Once past that wall you turn left and re-join the track as it runs from turn No 1 to turn 2, the big looping right hander.

I hope I've managed to make that clear enough. If you tell me what time you're on tonight I might be able to pop in and confirm it. (Are you using the Racers Reunited room?)

Cheers, Zo.

Little alteration to the regs chaps. The BMW and Toyota now have Isometric Exhaust Manifold in addition to the other engine parts. The BMW is now at 322BHP and 485pp, with the Toyota at 337BHP and 494pp.

Sorry about that :(

Cheers, Zo.

EDIT; @jammy21 quick update on qualifying Jammy. Having a spin yesterday it seemed an eminently sensible idea to do six minutes, in which case two laps will be comfortably possible. Probably a better setting. So, six minutes it is.

Hopefully I won't be changing anything else by tonight

Just bang on the 'super-efficient-inlet-filter'. You can get them at the Halfords section of your home page 👍

It's looking after those lovely soft tyres everyone should be worried about :mischievous:

Cheers, Zo.

Too bad you missed it tarn, bb, Suts and Goofy. Thanks for hosting, Zo.

Fantastic layout you came up with for the offroad rallycross, very nice. I've never done a race like that before. Fun and different.

It's a shame we can't utilise the visual/visible damage option without crashing the lobby. The cars look so much better and more realistic. No biggy though.
And once we all remember how the track goes (harsky ; ) it'll be even better.

Edit;
And too bad Aaroh couldn't make it either.

Really enjoyed those rallyx races and as Jocke said it was really fun layout.

Only problem is that when we go off the track (to sand or grass or what ever surface we'll go in this series) everyone should have same track limits and knowledge where limits are and drive within those limits.
Other than that really fun and looking forward what's comes next

Yeah the RallyX was a blast. Sand blasting in fact. There's always something a bit different with Zo. 👍

As Jammy says the track layout and limits need to be locked in, but overall I think we did a good job of seeing through the dust.

I almost had the endurance race in the bag. I was nearly down to the wheel rims and could see Jammy and all closing in. 13 laps and I might have held it but I'd not got the grip for 14 so watched helplessly as they streamed past.

But you did well with non stopper - I could'n do that - so all the credit to you for that

I'm really pleased that you enjoyed it chaps. I'll update post two with results and standings in a moment.

Visible damage was a good idea Jocke, the cars were looking amazing, it's just a pity about the net.

Last night has settled one issue for me; I was going to use Indy Road and Streets of Willow in the series, but I'm going to have to sack them now. Indy because the RallyX isn't anywhere near as good as at Big Willow, and the long straight would kill the Hondas, and Streets of Willow because there simply aren't enough physical objects to construct a meaningful course around. I was going to rely on visible, but not physical markers, and I don't think that would work.

Speaking of which, I'm sure it wasn't deliberate by Harsk, but his repeated missing of the Toyota sign did benefit him and there'll have to be a 3 point deduction from last night's meeting.

So, on the subject of tracks, I've bitten the bullet and decided that we shall have to use the sequence of Big Willow, Ascari, Big Willow, Ascari over the four weeks. The RallyX course will be different each week.

Aaroh, sorry you couldn't get in. There were problems with the net again last night. I hope you will be able to join us later in the series.

And, congratulations to Rob for his podium 👍

And, well done to Paul for completing the 14 laps on one set. I thought I could too, but ran out of talent. (It'll be 13 laps next time Paul ;))

Right, I'm off to fill in the standings...

Cheers, Zo.
