I'm really pleased that you enjoyed it chaps. I'll update post two with results and standings in a moment.

Visible damage was a good idea Jocke, the cars were looking amazing, it's just a pity about the net.

Last night has settled one issue for me; I was going to use Indy Road and Streets of Willow in the series, but I'm going to have to sack them now. Indy because the RallyX isn't anywhere near as good as at Big Willow, and the long straight would kill the Hondas, and Streets of Willow because there simply aren't enough physical objects to construct a meaningful course around. I was going to rely on visible, but not physical markers, and I don't think that would work.

Speaking of which, I'm sure it wasn't deliberate by Harsk, but his repeated missing of the Toyota sign did benefit him and there'll have to be a 3 point deduction from last night's meeting.
d too, but ran out of talent. (It'll be 13 laps next time Paul ;))
I'm so sorry! I thought that we had to pass by the middle of "Willow Springs" logo instead of Toyota sign!

And I also thought that there would be only RallyX race instead of a Rally X + Normal Race!

Don't worry Harsk, I didn't think you were cheating at all. I blame myself for messing up; I should have done a video of the new track.

Cheers, Zo.

EDIT: Video of circuit to be used on 2nd post now fellas. Happy practicing!

I'm not entirely sure that the damage was the cause of the problem since we'd gotten through the race (with the cars being battered) without any issues. It was the race exit update screen that seemed to be in error - we all got locked out (or was that in). The damage updates would have been over by then.
I think it may be worth having at least one more go with it enabled.

Not sure what mic quality setting you were using but that puts a heavy load on the network. You do need the mics on though!

Today it wasn't my day. Lots of mistakes, especially on the sand of 2nd RallyX, costed my win. Now thanks to my mistakes, then, my championship lead is gone. :(

Sorry about my driving, I was a bit dismotivated.

Harsk you're one of the fastest drivers I know. Just need to chill a little, and know when to let the place go. You'll get it back after a couple of corners. Defending the way you do just costs you time. You're fast and will get through later.

Stay fast, stay clean:cheers:

It's alright Colin, I actually was aware of it, as well, but as you can see, I commited lots of mistakes.

I'll need some time to adapt to this RallyX idea...

You were missed Paul :(

So, next week chaps... I know I said we'd be using different Rally-X circuits, but I think there is a case for saying that people are able to race better when they are a bit familiar with the track. Therefore, I have decided to use the same track for next week as we did for the first Willows races. Hopefully everyone will know where they are going

Here's a reminder, of the correct track, not my first one...

Additionally, in view of the issues identified by Jammy regarding the relative performance of the cars, we will all be using the Toyota 86GT 12, in various states of engine tune. (Not ALL Rob, don't worry 👍)

Details will be put on post 1.

Cheers, Zo.

I enjoyed watching a race last night & seeing the fun you're all still having. It looked liked a great idea & a good way to add variety to the game. :)

Unfortunately I was experiencing lag from everyone which suggests that my connection was terrible. I've moved house (& town) since I used to play GT regularly & haven't had much chance at all to play. I'm not in charge of the internet where I am now. I'll be moving again at some point (maybe December/January?) & hopefully when I get chance to play again it will be with a good connection. If anyone is still on GT6 by that time, I'll do my best to race again.
I did have an online session on Sunday with people from USA, Sweden & UK without any issues so it's probably just an intermittent connection issue.

Keep it up everyone. 👍

Oh, & Colin. I'll be in Edinburgh in the first week of December.

Greetings ladies and gentlemen. Pity the net wasn't playing ball on Tuesday, but good to see Ejd and GT. They're good chaps, clean and quick.

We'll be using a circuit which is very similar to that used the first time we visited Ascari, when we return there on Tuesday. I'm doing this in the hope that people will be able to race harder the more familiar they become with the layout.

There are two minor and easily understood changes, so here's a short video of the action...

Cheers, fellas, see you on Tuesday, Zo.

Aw damn. I fully intended on joining in tonight but a friend visited unexpectedly. I couldn't quite say clear off I want to play my racing game!

I hope you had some RallyX'ers there.

Chaps, opening post updated, please give it a look, and choose your partners :)

Cheers, Zo.

Eco Driving Limited® has got two spots available. Up for it @tarnheld ?

Sounds sweet, but i can't guarantee that i can make it as i am away on Tuesday and don't know when i return home. If you don't hear from me 30min before the races it's very unlikely that i will show up. :nervous:

@thehobnob97

Little alteration to the regs chaps. The BMW and Toyota now have Isometric Exhaust Manifold in addition to the other engine parts.
Fantastic layout you came up with for the offroad rallycross, very nice. I've never done a race like that before.
Really enjoyed those rallyx races and as Jocke said it was really fun layout.
Yeah the RallyX was a blast. Sand blasting in fact. There's always something a bit different with Zo.

Thanks for doing the replays Jocke 👍

Does the basher have to drive in the correct direction?

The Bashers have complete freedom to do anything they want Paul. I had it in mind to include that in the OP, but missed it off. I'll bang in an amendment.

By the way, we'll have mechanical damage on light, so people will benefit from applying some tactical thought to the way in which they interfere with the opposition, to get the best advantage.

Cheers, Zo.
