Fame, at last. I'm glad they didn't mention my finishing position!

You didn't disappoint me Paul 👍

Hi guys
I'm sorry for Tuesday race after dinner I fail a sleep.

I know that feeling well Tom. There's nothing nicer than a nap after dinner. Well, there is, but, best not to discuss that sort of thing.

So is racers reunited not running now Zol.:)

I'm really sorry John. This has gone straight over my head???

Cheers, Zo. (The guy with the keys to the STINGRAY!)

The randomness of the weekly Racers Reunited club has been replaced by the (slightly) more formal Supercar Handicap Championship for the next few weeks John.
Although it's still Racers Reunited, if you see what I mean. :dopey:

Aha, that's what he meant. Now I feel really stupid :dunce:. Yep, Paul's right John. Truth is, it's the Racers Reunited Supercar Handicap Championship, but that was a step too far in the name-length stakes.

RR will get back to the usual silliness afterwards.

Cheers, Zo.

And it wouldn't fit onto the trophy! :P

That is so true Paul. If I'd put the full title on the trophy would have had to be huge, and since it could be sent to any part of the planet, that would never do!

NOTE ON THE CAR LIST FOLKS:

I'm getting cold feet about forcing some poor individual to have to punt the Challenger around. It really is just a little too far off the pace. But never fear, the Maserati Granturismo S is here!

SO, when it comes to someone having to take on the toughest handicap challenge he/she will have the choice of the Challenger or the Maserati.

The Maserati is, of course, available as a choice for anyone else to use too, if they should wish to do so, but its introduction is there to try to prevent the strongest position in the championship being the least attractive by far.

Cheers, Zo.

Hi everyone, here are some highlights from round #1

Beware Men! Jocke has put a subliminal message in the Intermission, we're all going to be following him around Apricot Hill like sheep, the black hearted scoundrel!

Quite an international field you had there @Zolon32 👍

Yeah, it's ace having folks from so far and wide taking part. And hopefully GB will put up a slightly better show tomorrow.

My money is on Rich by the way (He said, trying to pile some pressure on )

Cheers, Zo.

A couple of quick points about tonight chaps:

Discos. After the problems caused (no one's fault) by the disco last week, I have taken the painful decision to say that, a disco is a disco, no matter when it happens and, unless it happens on mass, there will be no restart. Check your settings, clear out all your cash (although what your bank account has to do with it I'm not sure) and keep those fingers crossed.

Secondly, we are using penalties tonight and I'd be very surprised if at least one of use didn't trigger a ghost situation after the chicane. Let's face it, we all want to know where the limits are. That ghost car is going to turn into a damn hard one any second now, and if it does just as you arrive you're both going to pick up a shed load of damage. Please, if you see a ghosting car, drive around it as if it was solid.

Finally, have fun! Hopefully the full handicap will kick in after tonight's meeting, and the fast guys will really have their work cut out. Speaking of whom, Longbow was pretty damn rapid in the Zero Cup last night, and he'll have a V12 Vantage if he turns up with us. Could be one to watch. (Go get him Rich!)

Cheers, Zo.

That was a great race today, especially with a great battle with Tarnheld and Aaroh! 👍

Awesome race and battles, i even managed to make an overtake by pitstop. :dopey: Lost it at the end of the race but for the main part the handicap formula worked out really well and i could keep up with @Aaroh and @Harsk100, both of whom i'd normally see disappearing in the distance. Looking forward for more of that fun!

Next week guys. I can't race unfortunately.

You were missed John. Does that mean you will be racing next week?

Yeah, family crisis I'm afraid.

Aargh, nothing serious I hope. Come back soon Jocke.

Awesome race and battles,

Brilliant, that's what it's all about.

So, I have to say, huge congratulations to Jammy and Aaroh, peddling the two properly handicapped motors around in the way that they did. The rest of the cars are quite closely matched (except for the super-quick Stingray), but Aaroh and Jammy must have really worked for their points.

Speaking of which, post 3 is updated, and Aaroh is still our championship leader. I've snuck through into second, courtesy of the handicap system, just one point ahead of Jammy. Rich, Harsk, Zeus, CrazyJohn, Tarn and Longbow are all covered by just six points. I'm chuffed about that.

I'm trying to prepare a video chaps, but the battery went down on the camera. Watch this space...

Cheers, Zo.

I would like to change to Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, if possible. 👍

You certainly can Harsk. You don't have to declare what car you are using, just turn up with one that is on the list of motors available to you with the handicap you have for that particular week. The 8C is on that list for you this week.

Just checked the allowed cars, it's going to be tough to climb up with the C5.

It's worse than that John. Courtesy of your 2nd place at Silverstone, you have the highest average finish of anyone in the competition at the moment. That means that your choice of car for Monaco is restricted to, No 11, the Mustang Boss, or No 12, the Challenger or Maserati GT S 08. But that's the whole idea about a handicap, the kudos of being the guy with the strongest one:tup:

Got the video finished chaps, and apologies on a couple of fronts. Firstly, the quality is appalling, and secondly, due to time constraints, and the fact that it was largely the same guys doing the close racing most of the time, there isn't a particularly fair spread of coverage (phew, says Suts :))

Anyway, I hope you can enjoy what is there. Oh, and sorry about the coughing too...

Cheers, Zo.

EDIT: Sorry @Harsk100 I made a mistake in the handicapping system by miscalculating your average position. I've corrected it now, and the C8 is still available to you, but, in addition, so is the M4, if you would like to use it. I fancy it could be quite a good choice for Monaco, but, of course, the decision is yours. You want to use the 8C, then you still can.

Cheers, cheers, Zo.
