Racing Battle: C1 Grand Prix

I can translate the 2nd screen
1. Better max speed / Better Acceleration
2. Drifting setting / Grip setting

MY impression so far :

+ great variety of licenced japanese cars
+ massive amount of tuners ( HKS, Amuse, Tanabe, 5zigen, etc etc )
+ great special cars ( D1 Grand Prix cars, tuner demo cars from Jun, MCR, HKS etc etc
can't be found elsewhere in this variety )
+ nice handling somewhere in between Sim and Arcade
+ good choice of tracks : Tokyo & Osaka, Tsukuba, Suzuka, T1, Nikko
+ solid grafics with some nice effects
+ races at night / in rain
+ Pokemon effect : many rivals and you want to beat them all
+ tuning is very detailed : from engine over aero to merchandising... different
garage layouts
+ great variety of game modes ( Time Attack, SP Battle etc )

- sound is only average
- no 16 : 9 widescrren option
- there could be more tracks
- EU / US cars ? ( maybe they get unlocked )
- I'm missing the underground aspect : Beating rivals in Shutokou Battle was more
fun ( traffic etc ) than just beating them in a grand prix atmosphere...
- too easy ? Started with a used tuned Integra (230 hp) still not a single car had
the slightest chance...
- acceleration / braking with the right analog stick does not work perfect : A
minimal movement of the stick ( problem : standart postition not exaclty in the
middle ) results in acceleration : If you stop accelerating by taking your 👍
away from the stick your car will go on accelerating in 3 of 5 times....

These are only my first impressions after about 3 hours of playing...

Do you share my opinion or have you a different one ?

Another thing I've noticed is when you race on the highway, the traffic will always cut into your path and block you. It's a ***** when you're trying to turn into the apex and they change lanes to block you. But at least they finally serve a better purpose in the game :)

I noticed this too, but I thought it might have been the pad (I bought it the same day as the game, good to know I don't have to take the pad back :)), but yes, it is very annoying.

I got the game yesterday and played it a few hours yesterday and a few today and being a big fan of Genki and all there previous games I had no hesitation that however this game turned out to be that I was going to like it and it was gonna be no worse then there previous racer KB2.

So far the game is pretty easy which is kinda disappointing in a way cause KB1 and KB2 werent anywhere near this easy but some of the DP races as you progress are a little more difficult since to beat the rival it requires in one race I played, 60000 points.

Does anyone know how to chainlink the rivals when you start a battle cause I tried a few things and it didnt work also does anyone know if you get more money if you link the battles rather then racing each rival one by one? Thanks.

Hmm wow... I thought that my pads have lost their precision over the years... Well
I got used to it in a way... I mean most time I accelerate anyway...

Hey can you guyz that have the game confirm if the Nissan Pulsar GTiR is in the game??? it was in KB1 and KB2.
Cheers!

have any of you seen takumi's ae86 from initial D?? I'm doing a DP battle against him! hahah

edit: looks like you'll have to beat him in order to get the A license and unlock the last field

This game looks hot, I couldn't finish KB2 because the disk died on me.

You can use eyetoy and put your pictures on your cars, looks like fun!

I'm gonna go grab this tommorow.

Yeah, it has the Tofu Shop sticker + the light (yellow), but it's not a GT-Apex :(.

This game is great, lots o' fun but needs some major translation for all this japanese.

Menu stuff is pretty easy but I can't understand the BBS stuff.

Customization is great, Kaido Battle stuff, but with more options. Obviously everything is JDM oriented, but this is the kind of customization I wish GT would offer. Especially the custom dashboard gauges, really nice.

Car handling is arcadish, very slippery and drift-happy. I find it difficult to control with the DFP because the car handling is very momentum-based. Meaning if you tilt the steering towards one direction all the weight shifts really fast and car is drifting - countering steering will make it even worse.

Water & Oil temperatures play a role in the game, although I havn't figured out how it affects the car yet, because they overheat very fast (almost 5 minutes into every race)

When the car's water and oil temperature starts to go up, the car starts to slow down, to restore the condition just pit in. It will restore the oil and water temp as well as new tires.

Oh god, all the Japanese in this game.

Man.

Eh, I bought a second hand Altezza and just did the first race. But man, it's confusing.

It seems nice though, it's got those Automodelista elements with the Garage setting up and buying stuff for it.

Yay I found the suspension buying part.

God this game needs translation.

I found out you could equip some accessories (4 items max in the beginning)
different item for different battle
i believe you can increase your NP faster with correct items
those items are like Helmet, Racing suit, shoes, and even motor oil

how to restore the car condition?

erm you guys still playing this i just noticed that this thread was dead for 4 weeks..

i found all the info except info about the freeway.. it is in right?

Nevermind, i have the game already and it rocks! im planning to write a Faq (or more) but at Gamefaqs and about everywhere there's no active community its all about translation and then theres no feedback, so... i dont really understand that couse its better than many racing games on the market. Ashame really but its all good, the more time i have to play :D
maybe ill post some pics but i think not lol
cheers

ok, ive completed Field1 and still have 1 car heres a pic (sorry its with a phone made so it isnt very good i guess.) 340Hp, nothing special, now i wanna custom-paint-job, but i have to figure out how its more complicated as Txr3,
anyway im trying to paint so ill update this as soon as its finished :D grtz

Ok this is a big Bump for this thread.

Mainly because MistaX is too fat to search for it himself.

Although i'm going to start playing this now, seeing as I recently printed out the translated menus. I doubt anyone will care though.

Oh yeah MistaX is fat lol.

Too fat? Too lazy is more like it.

Because I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING IN ENGLISH THAT HELPS ME.

I need wanderer requirements.
