TommyKaira R33: 79/100

Another Skyline... nice badging and paint, but still heavy and less responsive to tuning than other less expensive used Skylines of the same year. An excellent car otherwise.

Next Car: TommyKaira M

The micra ??

Well , Its quick for its size , but its a micra , its handling is good for an FF . but its a micra.
Also it has that stupid stripe on the hood .

50/100
Next Car .
BMW 740Ci (?)

TommyKaira M13 is the Micra. I menat to say M31, I believe, which may or may not have been the Nissan Skyline R-31 based model.

For the 740Ci: 53/100

Not really much that you can do with it that other cars can't; with less exceptional feartures in the game than said competition, it is a bit of a drag. "Put in the M5 instead." Not a terrible car, mind you.

Next Car: BMW 850Ci

Tom's Angel T01: 84/100

Rather ungainly in appearance, but a real sweet car to drive. The name is fitting to describe it. No surprise here; the car is based off the Lotus Elise in some mechanical aspects.

Next Car: The [R] Dodge Viper RT/10.

[R]Dodge Viper RT/10: 81/100

Rather tricky handling, but lots of torque and quite nice looks :)

Next car: Vector M12 LM Edition or Vector W8 (just choose the one you like more)

I'll do both, 'cause I love both :)

Vector M12 LM Edition: 90/100

Good looks, as fast as hell. Unique engine sound too. Can hang with the big boys at every race it can enter. Fail-proof car if you can handle it. 10 points off from being perfect because it's a bit too expensive and not that rookie-friendly.

Wiegert Vector W8: 75/100

Although very fast, it's also rather heavy (and expensive too). And in stock form it only has 3 gears (who needs a 3 geared supercar?). The looks can be quite ugly to some (although I like it) and it can't be RMed to further cut weight. On the up-side, however, it can take turbo tuning to boost its power to a crazy 700+hp (not sure exact figure) and even without aero-kits it still has plenty of downforce and grip thanks to its wedge-like shape and fat tires.

Hmm! I always thought it shares the sound with all the NSX-es and the del Sol LM :)

Yeah, exactly. Basically it's the most gripping 2WD car in the game. I use its drivetrain in my rear wheel drive hybrids :)

Lotus Esprit Sport 350
88/100
- Whopping 659 bhp in a classic car 👍
- I love the looks and the sound 👍
- I like its handling 👍
- Only 5 gears 👎
- No race mod 👎
- Not what you call a cheap car (110,000+ Cr.) 👎

Next car: Jaguar XJ220

Yes! JAGUAR XJ220

I remember having a love-affair that lasted a few weeks in my XJ220. As I met a rep over at the specialty section of the Jaguar dealer, I was overwhelmed by all the choices I had so far as colors go! Seafrost metallic, amber, topaz metallic, meteorite metallic...emerald! dammit I WANTED THEM ALL1!!!

I Forget which color I finally chose. Oh yeah....I remember it looked like red wine had been poured all over my car. This wound up being my "spare" XJ220 because I don't think I ever raced it much (other than at the Turbo Cup). I'm such a busy man, my GT career has me flying all over the world, so this car is now merely just part of my collection. But I never drive it anymore.

and actually, I got a 2nd XJ220. This one became my official "race car" as my crew had it stripped down with full racing specs + GT2/LeMans aerodynamics kit. I was a bit disappointed that I could only get this full race-version painted in just yellow or white though. :grumpy:

And as I got shipped to South Africa for the beginning of the GT World Cup at the Trail Mountain track, I was pleased to learn that Jaguar had already equipped my XJ220 with all the trimmings: full-custom transmission, suspension, limited-slip, etc. 👍 Well, Ihad just parted with A MILLION CREDITS so this was what I had expected! Thank you Jaguar!

As I tackled the 5 GT World Cup races, I was shocked to learn that FIA/GT2 rules only allowed a Stage 1 turbo set-up at best. I had bought all 4 turbo stage kits, but I never needed 'em! :) Ah well, it's only money.

Sorry readers, I wont bore you anymore with my nonsense! 💡

Basically, this car has it all except FC brakes. More power than you'll ever need....a sleek, long, low (but wide) aerodynamic body makes this car a potential winner before you've even tuned a single part, despite the fact that Ai versions of the XJ220 never win any races.

I rate this one highly: 95 out of 100 It has everything I want, can conquer any GT race in any GT game yet is challenging to drive, looks fantastic, has a great howling exhaust, can be tuned fully (except brakes in GT2). Yes, it's expensive and "only" has a 5-speed, but it's worth the price and those gears can be tuned.

So....95 out of 100

And next, Fiat Barchetta

Gourgeus car , Much like the mx5 , same power as the mx5 (roughly 120hp if i remeber ?)
but its FF and not as fast as the mx5
50/100

Venturi Atlantuiqe 400LM

Actually, the Wiegert W8 has only 634hp...
You're talking about the stock version.
LeGeNd-1
it can take turbo tuning to boost its power to a crazy 700+hp (not sure exact figure)

Fully tuned, it's got 714 bhp.

Lancia Stratos: 87/100

Something more than just a good old rally car. I mean, much more than that :) 13 points off for lack of power, which is, sadly, very important sometimes.

Next car: Aston Martin V8 Vantage

Aston Martin V8 Vantage: 40/100

Should have a higher rating if not for PD messing up this car's design so much. The car just looks plain horrible to look at. The performance is ok though, handling is not. Weight even more of a problem. Will take all of your concentration to drive at the limit. Looks like a race-winning machine but you'll always be disappointed after driving one.

Next car: Nissan Skyline '71 KPGC10

I see then. 420hp was just another underrated figure?

Tom's Altezza: 78/100

Interesting variant on the stock Altezza, but still very much the same car, or so it seems.

Next Car: TRD3000GT

Mitsubishi FTO LM Edition: 95/100

Great car. You simply cannot lose a race in this car, except against an Excuseo. Good all rounder. Predictable handling. Quite nice engine whine too. And the copper-ish rims on black paint job looks awesome 👍. 5 points off from perfect because it's created by humans :grumpy:.

Next car: Plymouth Superbird

Plymouth Superbird: 68/100

A great musclecar, tunable, and aerodynamic to boot, but still very heavy and sounds like a 4-banger with muffler. GT2 may inflate the stock of the Superbird here. The lack of an RM is credible, but the appearance of a NASCAR-spec scheme would have still been feasible. Not a very pleasant car to drive stock, and it costs a fair amount.

Next Car: Plymouth GTX

Plymouth GTX

Nice Paintjob , Nicer than most of the muscle cars bar the mustang , not so great for handling

65/100

Next Car:

Toyota Starlet Glanza :D :D :D

Which one?

Either way: 83/100

Actually a very good dynasty of cars to drive, especially the 1971 model. The last one looks too bloated, though...

Next Car: Toyota Celica, 1982

There's only one glanza model
glanza.jpg

GLANZA! Missed that.

In that case: 71/100

It's not good looking, but a good car to drive. Getting higher and higher into horsepower figures, though, it gets tricky to handle, with the short wheelbase, front-wheel drive and what-not.

The next car remains the same.

I thought the Glanza is one good looking Starlet, well at least compared with the previous ones. It boils down to personal taste really, oh well.....
