Vector M12: 80/100

A spaceship on wheels. Futuristic design and nice rare colours to choose from (gold, dark purple and light blue). Lots of grip (too much at times). The Lamborghini engine at the back is also a great addition. Can be tuned too and will do well on most high end races. Unfortunately it's rather heavy and you can't RM it, so for races with RM cars you must use the LM. The stock gearing is also crappy (too wide), so a FC Gearbox is essential if you want to get the best out of this car.

Next Car: Spoon Civic/Integra/S2000 (pick one)

Spoon Civic: a nice high-revving engine, could be more power though. 81/100
Spoon Integra: it's got good power-to-weight ratio, my fav Integra in the game. 88/100
Spoon S2000: worthless untunable car. Get a stock S2000 instead. 53/100

Next car: Honda S2000

Next car: Honda S2000

Honda S2000 is one of my highest-ranked middle-range cars of GT2.

Inexpensive, easy to drive & maneuver, handles great...great for drifters (maybe not at first but...) and great for grip-style racing. Newbs & pros alike are welcome.

Lots of engine mods 👍 available. Power can be pushed up to about 370. Race-kit available. Not too heavy (unlike some other sports cars). 9,000 rpm redline!!! Great down-low acceleration! 170+ top speed at Test Track while stock, too. Dual-wishbone suspension all around, and the coil springs are wound up tight (but not too tight). 6-speed tranny is nice & flexible--you always find your gear in any corner or straight. 👍 Good job.

----- Looks great, drives great,.... you sometimes forget it's "just" a Honda.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of too many bad things to say about the S2000. The main thing is I wish it had more available power. But even with 370, there's plenty you can do with the S2000. Besides, if you want more power, just get an S2000 GT1. No turbos, either. Acceleration in 3rd gear or higher starts to feel lukewarm if you have the revs below 6,000 rpms. In general, the awesome acceleration begins to slow once 400 meters are passed, since the revs are high but torque is ultimately limited in this small, non-blown engine.

But I have no other option but to rate it very high: 99 out 100. It's just a highly useful, fun, vehicle.

Next car: Mazda Cosmo (either the Type S or the Type E) both are found in the used lot.

Lol, thanks for your review, but you forgot to a) rate the car and b) name the next one ;)

Yeah I did! Mazda Cosmo is next. I had to get off the internet for a few moments, that's why I didn't rate & name at first. :guilty:

Mazda Cosmo:
Type S: 75/100
Type E: 79/100

Type E sounds more interesting since it's got a triple rotor, but it weighs just slightly less than the Moon and all the power meets lots of roll all the way through the corner.
Type S handles well, but it's still really heavy and even 450+ hp can't solve the problem :(

Next car: XJR Fifteen

Jaguar XJR15: 80/100

One of the best Jaguars available. Fast, great acceleration, great sound, agile handling and lightweight. Only one colour available though, but a nice one nonetheless because it's a unique shade of metallic blue. Another downside is it can't be tuned to increase its power, hence it will struggle a bit in the higher races such as GT World Cup and GT All Stars. The stiff suspension and low ride height does wonders to its handling on flat corners, but on banked corners it's a nightmare. Overall a good car to buy if you're a pro and looking for a new challenge once you're bored driving GT-Ones and the like.

Next Car: Lotus Esprit Sport 350

Lotus Esprit Sport 350: 92/100
Second best to the V8SE this esprit still packs a punch, one of the better MR cars in the game its easy to handle, with a great amount of power from factory. You also get a funky spoiler with the car :)

Next Car: [R]Nissan R390 GT1 LM Race Car '97 (Its the black one not the blue one)

1997 Nissan R390 GT1: 99/100

A bit slower to the TS020, but the gorgeous paint scheme and short tail design certainly can forgive for that. Definitely sharper-looking than the 1998 car, and yet at Le Mans these cars all retired while the 1998 model finished 3rd overall at its event (behind two Porsches).

I have yet to drive one... but I have seen it many times before. And I never tire of it.

Next Car: 1998 Nissan R390 GT1 (you all saw it coming)

Nissan R390 GT1 '98: 89/100
Heavier than the '97 model having just 30 hp more, uglier tail design, less cool-looking paint job. I think everybody prefers the '97 one to this. But still a gorgeous car to race compared to many others.

Next car: Lexus IS200 LM Edition (you all saw it coming (or not?) lol)

Lexus IS200 LM: 95/100

Completely bonkers car. Sweet looking, but goes like mad. Tons of power, easy to handle. The only Japanese LM car that can come close in terms of power & styling is the S2000 GT1. Looks totally hot in yellow or dark grey. I myself got one in white, it's not what I wanted, but it's not too bad. 5 points off because it's hard to get (99 laps? Are you kidding me? And sometimes you get the Corolla instead 👎).

Next car: Hmm...What car hasn't been mentioned yet? Lancia Y anyone?

Hmm, how about the del Sol LM / FTO LM?.. ^^

Lancia Ypsilon: 86/100
14 points off for being underpowered. It acts like an FR, it makes impressive moves; fully-tuned, you can use it in races against cars up to 500 ps. A totally nice little car.

Next car: TVR Cerbera LM

TVR Cerbera LM 100/100
This is simply one of the best cars in the game, its incredibly fast, handles awesomely and looks good. It really is worth driving for 50 laps for.

Next Car: 90' Lotus Elan S1

Hmm, how about the del Sol LM / FTO LM?.. ^^

Well, I'm comparing RMs that have no sponsor stickers you see. That's what makes those 2 cars look so good, full body kit but doesn't look like a moving billboard. The del Sol & FTO LM paint schemes are good looking too no doubt, but they still have sponsor stickers ;)

True, but the reason why I mentioned them was power rather than looks :)

90' Lotus Elan S2
90/100. One of the best handling FF cars. Have you ever seen an FF car that oversteers? :dopey: Also, cool engine sound and rather good looks. 10 points off, as in Ypsilon's case, for being low-powered compared to the majority of cars.

Next car: Taevion Trampio FTO

70/100

I haven't played GT2 for quite some time now, but if memory serves the Taevion Trampio was one of the GT350 cars that was difficult to get as a prize car. Like all the FTOs, it seemed to be lacking when it came to top speed - the FTO LM Race Car in GT4 is guilty of the selfsame crime - but it was good for the GT350 championship because it was a challenge to win with it, and that's probably the reason behind 68 of the 70 points I gave it (the other two being for the funky livery).

Next up: Vector W12 Race Car.

Easy to guess ;) You've messed everything up :) The class name is GT300 and this FTO is not a prize car, it's just an FF race car which you can buy at the Mitsubishi lot :) It does lack power, however, but this thing really moves.

And if you're talking about a Vector race car, then it should be the M12 LM :) Lots of grip, but not what you call a great handling car when you push the limit. I like it very much though, and rate it highly at 92/100.

Next car: Nismo R33 LM Road Car (the FR one)

True, but the reason why I mentioned them was power rather than looks :)

If based on power alone, those 2 cars are certainly in the same league as the S2000 and IS200. But cars that have both power and looks? Only the S2000 can compete with the IS200.

Nismo GT-R LM Road Going Version: 70/100

Good car in stock form, but you need to tune it if you want to start winning the higher tier races. Lots of power, but heavy, and the FR drivetrain doesn't help much with traction either. A reliable race winner if tuned right, but definitely not a car for beginners. Oh, a nice RM too, since it's a bow to the Nismo GT-R LM in GT1.

Next Car: [R] Volkswagen Beetle GT

Hehe, now I get what you mean :) Still there's one more car which is close to those 2 and doesn't look like a moving billboard.

[R]Volkswagen Beetle GT: 80/100
The first impression of this car is good, back then I thought it's just another great rally car. It's got plenty of power, 4WD, leet engine sound, everything. But then some minor things started to disappoint. At first, it's got loads of traction while cornering, but when you finally run out of this traction, it starts behaving quite unpredictably. Probably, for a car this size, it's got too much torque - I mean, look at the touring cars, they obviously lack torque, but can they handle? Hell yes. And I was actually looking forward to better braking, since it's a straight competitor for all the rally cars in the game. Hence why it's got relatively low rate from me.

Next car: S14 '98

Heck, I forgot about the CLK Race Car, that's also one sweet looking machine. Too bad I never ever drove one (likely never will in the future too).

Now that I think of it, there's quite a few RMs that doesn't look like a moving billboard: Tommy ZZII, Ford GT40, Espace F1 are just some I can think of right now.

Add Honda S2000 GT1 to that list....

Escudo 150/100 why? it's the fricking Escudo!

Lancer Evo VI GSR 100/100 my first self-made rally car.

Stagea 260RS Autech Version 100/100 second SM rally car.

A160 Avant 50/100 It sucks because it's the only off-road capable Merc in the game(sucks elephant balls)

CTR2 100/100 can't do Racing Modification, but still makes a kick-ass rally car or drag racer. i've also drifted with this thing(pretty easy with 4WD or FWD in this game)
