Alright, so until the OPs are transferred over to me, to make things easier for myself nominations will be closed and there will be no new posts.

Also, as for the frequency of posts now, there will be new posts Monday-Thursday. Every other weekend I head to my dads house and I won't have a computer capable of making the OPs to the quality I hope to have, so on those weekends nominations and posts will be closed.

I'm always available to post on those days.

In order to keep the OP's updated though, I figure it would be easier if it just took a little break every other weekend for a couple of days, on average though there will be around 6 posts per week which should be enough.

I'm also hoping to make a template for nominations before reopening it, it will most likely be the same template I used in the posts I made at the beginning of July.

@Jahgee1124 I'm making a post and updating posts/OPs. Once I've done that, it's yours on one condition. If you ever get tired of it (and you will), hand it off to someone else rather than killing it.

To everyone else, well, I was hoping I'd hold on to it for at least a year, but it's been an un-fun drudge for the better part of the time I've had it and at this point I'd rather do almost anything except make a Cool Wall post - hence why I'm always posting them late at night (early in the morning for some people), doing them a day late, skipping them entirely and then doing two at once, etc. One more post, and it's time to hand over the keys to the castle.

I'll try to get Jordan on board tomorrow so he can transfer ownership of the OPs.

Will I ever give it another go? I don't know. Things change, and maybe there will come a time when I'd enjoy making these. But that time is not now.

Sorry I gave you a crippled ship, but you made it work for you.

I appreciate the CW threads for how they bring the community together to bounce different viewpoints off of each other, and how they keep the conversation rolling, covering a multitude of automotive topics from kei trucks to hybrid supercars. Thanks for taking the time to run the threads and crunch the numbers, @White & Nerdy. 👍

When I saw the number of "_______ liked your post in the thread GTP Cool Wall Nomination Request Thread." I wasn't sure what to think, but thanks and your welcome.

@Jahgee1124 I'll get the spreadsheet ready for takeover and reattach it to the OP, then I'll PM Jordan.

@Grayfox While getting the spreadsheet ready for Jahgee1124 I noticed this in the list... was it intended to be the same as the one I just did not too long ago?

Being the incumbent OP, you certainly brought something new to these threads. Mostly volatility and heated debate, but there's always that added liveliness whenever opinions conflicted which happens almost every week these days. I don't think many members here have issues with how your ran the Cool Wall either as opposed to your obstinate view on car culture. At least you were willing to take the reigns for as long as you did to keep the format alive.

I'd also be happy if @Jahgee1124 could continue using the same OP format you've used since taking over the wall.

He probably thought the lack of car specs in his initial nomination would result in it being ignored. So he added the 2011 model year and specs in a later post?

You might as well change the Civic poll to "2006-2011", given how the '11 model was also the subject of discussion anyway.

First nomination to be officially held by Jahgee, and man, it's a big 'un.

~ Power, pace and peerless quality, the legendary McLaren F1 is a technological masterpiece. The fastest production car of its time. The finest sports car of its generation. For many, the greatest supercar ever built.

1994 McLaren F1

Source.

Production Year: 1992 - 1998

Price: $970,000

Engine: 6.1L BMW S70/2 V12

Top speed: 240 MPH (386 KMH)

0-60: 3.2 seconds

Transmission: 6 speed Manual

Length: 4,287 mm (168.8 in)

Width: 1,820 mm (71.7 in)

Height: 1,140 mm (44.9 in)

Weight: 1138 kg

My Take On This: Guessing that many of you are going to vote this... masterpiece a low, because it invented the hyper car. Why don't you just blame the Miura that for inventing the sports car?

This is a well justified masterpiece, and there's no way, in hell that i can see this in the wastelands. It's the car with attention to detail similar to a million piece jigsaw. Perfect, it may not be, but call it cool, is what i want to see.

Finally, somebody nominated the McLaren! In my opinion, it is the coolest car ever made. The second coolest car is next on the list, the Countach LP400 I nominated. In one week, Steve McQueen will have a second car in his garage, and in a few months, a third.

I'm predicting a rating of 1.935 for the Countach. If you look back in the 25th anniversary thread, there are many who voted cool instead of sub-zero because they liked the original Countach better.

I feel like you have to take any polls pre @BKGlover with a grain of salt, seeing as there are now more people voting in each thread that my vote one way or another based on something other than the car itself, so I don't see anything joining the Miura unless the requirements are lowered/the Miura is repolled

There are a few cars that repolling would probably alter. Even with as lovey as most entries have been lately, getting that near unanimous decision is incredibly hard. So much so, that I don't think even the Miura could do it again.

I feel like everything pre-your takeover should get repolled to account for the changed voting base, but I don't wanna start that now or anytime soon for that matter (I may do it at a later date)

You aren't the only one, but after talking with daan and others when I took it, unless you go 5th Gear and burn it down, then start wholly over with new rules almost completely, it isn't worth it. Definitely not to start off.

Looking at some of the last polls, they aren't all that out of line with what the forebearers dealt with, it's more the size of it that has changed. Of course, all I see about my control is utter chaos and unneeded BS, so what the hell do I know.

As of now, stick with what's in front of you. The grand vision can come later.

Yeah, the repolling is a distant vision I had after a while

I think it's pointless. Just stick with polling new cars, the fan base wiill always be changing. It'll take too much time and effort for cars that have already been polled so lets just stick with new ones. If you repoll those then you should repoll these again in 5 years. It's stupid IMO. I don't think anyone wants the entire cars in general section filled with a billion polls especially ones that have already had their chance.

In all likelihood, you almost certainly wouldn't see a noticeable shift in results as far as which section of the wall each car would fall under.

Sure, the poll score will nearly always deviate from the previous one no matter how many times you poll the same car again. But aside from the Muira dropping down into Lord Kelvin's Ice Box, I don't believe the cars polled before BK took over would move enough to warrant the time and effort required to re-poll them all. Especially when people are more willing to nominate new cars on a regular basis.
