It was available in two different body styles and had the Impala script, insignia, and crossed flag emblems on the front of the hood, ribbed body sill panels, large chrome air scoops ahead of the rear wheels on the fenders, a competition style deep two spoke steering wheel with Impala medallions, and Impala script on the dash.
It also featured six taillights, which gave it a distinct look over the other Chevys and would also become its trademark.
The 1958 Impala helped Chevrolet regain the number one production spot in this recession year.

The Samurai project was then sadly cut short after the death of Hino's president and the purchase of Hino by Toyota, and a planned Le Mans entry never came to fruition.
I'm still trying to find information about the torque figures, this car is a tricky one to find info about. This also means that it's hard to verify some of the numbers, but I hope that's not too much of a problem. If someone wants to help me on this, I'll be thankful.

Thanks, I found this by accident while I was doing a research for, believe or not, that Fiat 600 copy that is currently being polled. I stumbled upon a car called the Hino Contessa, which in turn led me to the Samurai. I think that even despite being a racing car, it deserves a chance to be rated. I just GT916 doesn't mind the lack of data, very little is known about the actual performance of the car, so I had to pick bits from Japanese websites on the matter...
