1961-1969 Lincoln Continental (Mk IV)

acc86de4dd18dd3fb784dd2b0b0d2755%201_zpsjbukaxge.jpg

Engine: 430 (7.0L), 460(7.5L), 462(7.6L) Cubic Inch "MEL" Ford V8.
Power: 320-340 hp @ 4600 RPM
Torque: 465-485 ft-lb @ 2600 RPM
Weight: 5000lbs [2300kg]
Transmission: 3 speed "Turbo Drive" Automatic
Drivetrain: Front Engine, Rear Drive
Body Style: 4 Door Luxury Sedan, rear doors "Suicide" hinged.
Additional Information: The Magnum Opus of designer Elwood Engel. Suicide Doors. The emphatically slab-sided 4th generation Lincoln Continental defined the land-yacht American luxury cars of the late 1950s through mid 1970s. Heavy, powerful, and with no pretense of sporting intentions, the Continental's purpose was to cruise in absolute comfort and style. From appearances in James Bond films to the Matrix, the Continental has a pretty strong foothold in popular culture. Of course the Conti will always be most famous for being the vehicle in which John F Kennedy was assassinated.

I think this could easily be the coolest car ever made. The amount of presence this car has on the road is staggering. So wide, so low, so powerful. The suicide doors are incredible as well. Look at that palatial entrance. White walls are mandatory, as is a 3" drop.

Additional Information/My Take On This:

Like some cars today, I conclude that this car is daring and unafraid, and keeps insisting the term "freedom".

Noble gives it a motto with one of Gandhi's quotes "I want the freedom for the full expression of my personality"

Has a vivid choice of colors, if you're not into bespoke (which it offers).

Has no ABS. Unlike the majority of it's supercar species today, the car isn't fully carbon fiber.

And like many British icons: is handbuilt.

There's so much riling up for debate towards a car like this. Also: WHY ISN'T THERE A NOBLE IN THE COOL WALL YET?!

Added some more info, still can't find the weight but everything else is filled in.
EDIT: Added weight.

2013- Alfa Romeo Disco Volante
Body Style: Two door coupe.
Engine: 8 cylinder, NA 4.7L V8. The same as in the 8C (donor car). Ferrari in origin.
Power Output: 443 hp
Torque: 354.02 lbft
Weight: 1600kg
Transmission: 8C's 6 speed semi automatic.
Drivetrain: FR
Additional Information: Optional, but here is where you can include facts that may swing someones vote.
The Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Touring is a two-seater coupé with front-central engine and transaxle drivetrain. Showcased at 2012 Geneva Motor Show as a full scale style model, now is coach built in the Touring atelier in Milan as a very limited series for discerning customers: collectors, sporting drivers and design aficionados with appreciation for a tailor-made car based on individual passion and taste. It is inspired by the Touring designed Alfa Romeo C52 of 1952: a design icon, so innovative that it influenced a number of celebrated sports cars of the decades ahead.

The excellent Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione supplies the rolling chassis and drivetrain with the electrics and electronics systems. With its light and stiff structure, the compact 4.7 litre, 450 PS V8 engine coupled to a sequential paddle-shift transaxle gearbox, the limited slip differential and double wishbones suspension, the package provides stunning performance together with precise, dynamic and proactive drive.

The design language is that of a sports berlinetta by Touring, in this case extrovert, clearly pronounced, and tempting. The refined proportions are those of a classic Berlinetta by Touring, with extended rear overhang and a retracted greenhouse. Elements of drama are the wide front section with integrated bonnet and wings, and the pronounced muscular rear end treatment leaving no doubts about the car’s intentions.

The final result combines power and elegance in a car bound to set another Touring milestone in the automobile history.
