Since the Mclaren MP4/4 is in the Cool Wall, I'm going to poll a old F1 car.

At the start of the 1992 season, it was already clear that this car is the superior car compared to Ayrton Senna's Mclaren MP4/7A.

The FW14 won 17 grands prix, 21 pole positions and 289 points before being replaced with the FW15C for 1993.

Interesting facts:
Meant to homologate a Group B rally car, until the Group B series was axed. Ferrari used the car as a development vehicle for the F40, similar to today's FXX and FXXK. One of 6 produced, all examples currently exist.

Time to put this one to bed once and for all:

The 2015 car uses a 2MJ hybrid system sending all the power exclusively to the front wheels. From next year, it is set to use an 8MJ system sending electric power to the back wheels which was the original intention for the car in 2015."
Note to Curator: The only specs I could find were from when the car was first publicly revealed. I could not find specs of what the current car is running following it's competition debut.

Additional information: The car was initially designed to have a Wankel rotary engine, but due to failure to pass emissions, or when made to pass emissions, apex and rotor seal failure, caused it not to be ready in time for production and was set to be installed in the Monza 2+2 but failed to be used there as well. A special Cosworth tuned 4 cylinder version made up to 140hp, and 185hp in it's pre-production version.

2004-2011 Bristol Fighter

BristolFighter21197406004.jpg

Body Style: 2-door coupé
Engine: 8.0L Chrysler V10
Power Output: 525hp (Fighter), 628hp (Fighter S), 1012hp (Fighter T)
Torque: 525lbs/ft (Fighter), 580lbs/ft (Fighter S), 1036lbs/ft (Fighter T)
Weight: 1600kg
Transmission: 6-speed manual, 4-speed automatic
Drivetrain: Front engine, rear wheel drive
Additional Information: The car was designed by former F1 engineer Max Boxstrom, and was produced by Bristol Cars from 2004 until 2011. The engine is the same V10 used in the Viper and Ram SRT-10, although slightly modified by Bristol. The Fighter T was introduced in 2006, featuring the same Chrysler V10 but this time turbocharged. Looks might not be on its side, but when the Fighter T first went into production it was more powerful than a Bugatti Veyron. It is claimed only around 13 Fighters were ever made, making it one of the rarest production cars in existence.

It's almost pointless to nominate another Mustang, because many people are going to rate the car poorly because of how many Mustangs have been nominated already (probably more than any other car), and not because of the actual coolness of the car.

I really believe that shouldn't affect a car's coolness in any way at all. Just because it's a popular car that everyone knows and everyone has doesn't mean it isn't a cool car. It's basically another way of saying "I'm sick of Mustangs because everyone has them. Uncool." This isn't an I'm sick of this car wall. It's a cool wall.

Anyways, here is my next nomination:

1971-74 AMC Javelin
image.jpg

Body style: 2 door hardtop
Layout: front engine, rear wheel drive
Engines: 232 ci (3.8 L) I6, 258 ci (4.2 L) I6, 282 ci (4.6 L) I6 (Mexico only) 304 ci (5.0 L) V8, 360 ci (5.9 L) V8, 401 ci (6.6 L) V8
Power output: 135 hp (232 ci), 150 hp (258 ci), 200 hp (282 ci), 210 hp (304 ci), 245hp (360 ci), 335 hp (401 ci)
Torque: unknown
Weight: 2,875 lb (1,304.1 kg) - 3,184 lb (1,444.2 kg)
Transmissions: 3 speed manual, 4 speed manual, 3 speed automatic, 3-speed “Torque-Command” on console
Additional Information: The AMC Javelin was introduced on August 22, 1967, for the 1968 model year to compete with the Mustang and the Camaro. Even though it never sold as many units as it's competitors, it was marketed worldwide unlike the Mustang and Camaro. The 71-74 was the second, and last generation of the Javelin.
