1981 - 1990 Isuzu Piazza/Impulse

isuzu_piazza_1981_wallpapers_1.jpg

Source.

Production Year: 1981 - 1990

Body Style: 3-door hatchback coupe

Price: $ 14,109

Engine: 2.0 liter SOHC/DOHC inline-four MPFI engine. Turbocharged 2.0 liter SOHC inline-four MPFI engine.

Power Output: 101 (SOHC), 115 (DOHC), 140 (Turbocharged)

Torque: 163 lb ft

Top speed: 106 MPH (170 KM/H)

0-60: 11.3 seconds

Transmission: 5-speed manual/4-speed automatic

Length: 4,385 mm (172.6 in)

Width: 1,655 mm (65.2 in)

Height: 1,300 mm (51 in)

Weight: 1,140 kg

Drivetrain: front engined, rear wheel drive.

Additional Information/My Take On This:

- "An Isuzu Impulse has more power than a Honda Prelude and a Toyota Celica GT combined."

- Designed by famed car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro: man responsible for the Golf Mk. 1, the DeLorean DMC-12, the Ferrari 250, the Lotus Esprit.. we should be familiar by his brand (Italdesign) or his name alone.

- Late models received a suspension update by Lotus, in which Isuzu made it their selling point in addition to being cheaper than its rivals.

- This ad for a hatchback.

If I searched correctly, I can't believe this hasn't been posted yet.

2011-2014 Nissan Murano Crosscabriolet
View attachment 417708
Body Style: 2 door convertible
Engine: 3.5 L V6
Power Output: 255 HP
Torque: 248 ft-lb
Weight: 2,012 kgs
Transmission: CVT
Drivetrain: Front-engine, all-wheel drive
Additional Information: Following the unexpected success of the Nissan Juke, Nissan felt the need to put this out, shocking the world with it's unexpectedness. However due to a combination of a high starting price ($47,000 before eventually dropping to $42,855 at the end of its life) a lack of marketing, and sharing no good characteristics of the normal Murano, the CrossCabriolet was left to die in 2015 when the newly redesigned Murano came out.

2003-2006 Chevrolet SSR
upload_2015-8-16_12-22-14.png

Body Style:
2-door convertible pickup
Engine: 6.0 L V8
Power Output: 395-400 HP
Torque: 400 lb-ft
Weight: 2,132 kg
Transmission: 4 speed automatic, 6 speed manual
Drivetrain: Front-Engined, Rear-wheel drive
Additional Info: Designed after Chevrolet pickups of the 40s-50s, the SSR (Super Sports Roadster) behaved more like a muscle car than a truck. The bed space wasn't much, due to the folding hardtop, and was only able to tow about 2,500 lbs. However, this was balanced out with a 7.7 second 0-60 time, thanks to sharing an engine with the Corvette and the Pontiac GTO.

I didnt notice this on the results thread, so

1966 - 1975 Lotus Europa

Lotus_Europa_1974.jpg

Wikipedia.

Production Year: 1966 - 1975

Body Style: 2-door coupe

Price: From $4,695

Engine: 1.4 liter Renault 16 A1K I4 (S1), 1.5 liter Renault 16 TS type 807 I4 (S2), 1.5 liter Lotus-Ford Twin Cam I4 (Twin-cam and Special)

Power Output: 82 (S1 and S2), 105 (Twin-cam), 126 (Special) Horsepower

Torque: 76 (S1), 80 (S2), 108 (Twin-cam), 113 (Special) lb ft

Top speed: 121 (S1), 124 (S2 and Twin-cam), 127 (Special) mph

0-60: 9.3 (S1), 9.8 (S2), 7.7 (Twin-cam), 6.6 (Special) seconds

Transmission: 4-speed Renault manual (S1, S2, Twin-cam), 5-speed Renault manual (Special)

Length: 4,445 mm (175 in)

Width: 1,524 mm (60 in)

Height: 1,067 mm (42 in)

Weight: 600 (S1), 662 (S2), 737 (Twin-cam), 711 (Special) kg

Drivetrain: Mid-rear engined, rear wheel drive.

Additional Information:

- Lotus Cars founder Colin Chapman uses this car to define his obsession with lightweight cars: "Simplify, then add lightness."

- Praised for it's handling, thanks to its excellent suspension work and mid-engine layout. This is Lotus we're talking about here.

- People were known to be stuck inside these: an issue all small Lotus' back in the day carry alongside average build quality. It's value as an antique today is reduced mainly because most people today, as with back in the day, will have a hard time fitting into it.

- The name "Europa" was made as a reference on how Lotus planned to sell this car only in the UK and nearby neighboring Europe countries. In Germany, however, it was called "Europe" due to Volkswagen owning the name's rights. The Twin-cam and Special models made it to the US, albeit in a limited quantity.

- Made as a successor to the Lotus 7. Succeeded and easily overshadowed by the more luxurious Lotus Esprit.

1980-1984 Renault 5 Turbo
Nationale_oldtimerdag_Zandvoort_2010,_1981_RENAULT_5_TURBO,_JH-VZ-86_pic2.JPG

Engine: 1397 cc Cléon Turbo I4
Power: 158 hp
Torque: 138 lb-ft
Weight: 970 kg
Transmission: 5-speed manual
Drivetrain: Mid-engine, rear wheel drive
Body Styles: 3-door hatchback
Other info: Created in response to Lancia's success with the Stratos, Renault's vice president asked Marcello Gandini to design a new sports version of the Renault 5 Alpine supermini. Renault unveiled the 5 Turbo in the Brussels Motor Show in January 1980. Even though the standard 5 was front engine, front wheel drive, the 5 Turbo was instead mid engine, rear wheel drive. Driven by Jean Ragnotti in 1981, the 5 Turbo won the Monte Carlo Rally on its first outing in the WRC. The 2WD R5 turbo soon faced the competition of new Group B four wheel drivecars that proved faster on dirt. Once the homologation models were produced, Renault introduced the Turbo 2 that was less expensive, but featured more stock Renault 5 parts with the same specs as the Turbo 1. The concept of a mid-engined small Renault returned with the 1998 announcement of the Renault Clio V6.

Transmission: 5 Speed Manuel
Drivetrain: Front engine, all wheel drive.
Additional Information:
The E-BCNR33 (or better known as the R33) was the successor to the older E-BNR32 (R32) Skyline GT-R model. It had a RB26DETT engine similar to the one's in the R32. They also uses the same Turbochargers and the same 5 Speed Manuel Gear Box.

The total production figures of the R33 GTR is around 16,000 Cars. This includes the Normal GT-R, V-Spec, N1 and LM Limited.

Please correct any mistakes I made...

44 units were made but...
Tuner company specials, such as Roush and Saleen cars, are modifieds.

Not sure on that one. While NISMO is of course Nissan's motorsports division and not a tuner company as such, it's not exactly an original car on its own, it's based on a Skyline.

Sorry, but this one's going to be way too confusing to figure out. You should just choose another car, @Neddo.

1964 - 1967 Gordon-Keeble GK1/International Touring

eHzS8Wm.jpg

Body Style: 2-door coupe
Engine: 5.4 Chevrolet 327 V8
Power: 300 hp
Torque: 360 lb-ft
Weight: 1436 kg
Transmission: 4-speed manual
Drivetrain: Front-engine, rear wheel drive
Additional info: Despite the car's troublesome past with low production numbers caused by issues with parts suppliers, as well as an unrealistically low selling price which ended up crippling the British-based firm, the Giugiaro-designed GK1’s survival rate is impressive due primarily to its fibreglass body. 90 of the 100 examples built are still accounted for today. Even with so few examples remaining, the average selling price is substantially lower than what many of its better-known GT rivals from the same era are currently worth.
