2004-2011 Bristol Fighter

BristolFighter21197406004.jpg

Body Style: 2-door coupé
Engine: 8.0L Chrysler V10
Power Output: 525hp (Fighter), 628hp (Fighter S), 1012hp (Fighter T)

Additional Information: The car was designed by former F1 engineer Max Boxstrom, and was produced by Bristol Cars from 2004 until 2011. The engine is the same V10 used in the Viper and Ram SRT-10, although slightly modified by Bristol. The Fighter T was introduced in 2006, featuring the same Chrysler V10 but this time turbocharged. Looks might not be on its side, but when the Fighter T first went into production it was more powerful than a Bugatti Veyron. It is claimed only around 13 Fighters were ever made, making it one of the rarest production cars in existence.

My final race car nomination:

1997-1999 Nissan Primera GT BTCC
Nissan_Primera_BTCC_1999.jpg

Racing Class: British Touring Car Championship
Engine: SR20DE 2.0 Straight 4
Power Output: 320HP @ 8,300rpm
Torque: 195 ft-lbs @ 8,000rpm
Weight: 975 kg
Drivetrain: Front Engine Front Wheel Drive
Transmission: Xtrac 6 speed manual sequential
Additional Information: Nissan first entered the original Primera in the BTCC in 1991 but withdrew in 1994. In 1996 Nissan backed Andy Rouse Engineering with no success. In order to have any chance of beating the dominating Renault Laguna, Nissan contracted Ray Mallock Limited to build new Primera touring cars from the ground up. After building the Primera GT for the 1997 season, Nissan supplied the SR20DE Straight 4 engine, now producing 320HP, and hired David Leslie and Anthony Reid as the drivers. The Primera finishied 5th on the Manufacturer and Team championships in 1997. In 1998 an improved Primera won 9 out of 26 races and won the Manufacturer's title. Anthony Reid fell short of the Driver's title, despite winning 7 races, losing to the more consistent Rickard Rydell in the Volvo S40. In 1999 Reid left Nissan to drive for Ford so Nissan hired Laurent Aiello, who had just won the 24 Hours of LeMans in 1998 for Porsche. In 1999 Nissan won 13 out of 26 races and Aiello took the Driver's championship with 10 victories and Nissan again got the manufacturers title. Nissan also provided equipment and support to Team Dynamics and Matt Neal, who won the independent cup and was the first to win a BTCC outright, earning him a £250,000 bonus.

It's almost pointless to nominate another Mustang, because many people are going to rate the car poorly because of how many Mustangs have been nominated already (probably more than any other car), and not because of the actual coolness of the car.

I really believe that shouldn't affect a car's coolness in any way at all. Just because it's a popular car that everyone knows and everyone has doesn't mean it isn't a cool car. It's basically another way of saying "I'm sick of Mustangs because everyone has them. Uncool." This isn't an I'm sick of this car wall. It's a cool wall.

Anyways, here is my next nomination:

1971-74 AMC Javelin
View attachment 429204

Power output: 135 hp (232 ci), 150 hp (258 ci), 200 hp (282 ci), 210 hp (304 ci), 245hp (360 ci), 335 hp (401 ci)
Torque: unknown
Weight: 2,875 lb (1,304.1 kg) - 3,184 lb (1,444.2 kg)
Transmissions: 3 speed manual, 4 speed manual, 3 speed automatic, 3-speed “Torque-Command” on console
Additional Information: The AMC Javelin was introduced on August 22, 1967, for the 1968 model year to compete with the Mustang and the Camaro. Even though it never sold as many units as it's competitors, it was marketed worldwide unlike the Mustang and Camaro. The 71-74 was the second, and last generation of the Javelin.

1995 NASCAR Supertruck
24DupontSTref-vi.jpg

Racing Class: NASCAR Supertruck Series (Later became the Craftsman Truck Series and is currently the Camping World Truck Series)
Engine: 6.0L V8
Power Output: 650-700 HP
Torque: 520 Ft. Lbs
Weight: 1542 Kg minumum without driver & fuel
Transmission: 4 speed manual
Drivetrain: Front Engine, Rear Wheel Drive
Additional Information: From Wikipedia "The idea for the Truck Series dates back to 1991. A group of SCORE off-road racers (Dick Landfield, Jimmy Smith, Jim Venable, and Frank "Scoop" Vessels) had concerns about desert racing's future, and decided to create a pavement truck racing series. They visited NASCAR Western Operations Vice President Ken Clapp to promote the idea, who consulted Bill France, Jr. with the idea, but the plans fell apart. Afterwards, Clapp told the four to build a truck before NASCAR considered the idea. Bakersfield fabricator Gary Collins built a prototype truck, which were first shown off during Speedweeks for the 1994 Daytona 500. The truck proved to be popular among fans, and NASCAR arranged a meeting in a Durbank, California hotel on April 11, 1994; the meeting ultimately led to the creation of the "SuperTruck Series". Four demonstration races were held during the season at Mesa Marin Raceway had six trucks, Portland Speedway, Saugus Speedway and Tucson Raceway Park. Tucson held four events that winter, which were nationally televised during the Winter Heat Series coverage. Tools line Craftsman served as the sponsor of the series on a three-year deal, though the series was renamed to the "Craftsman Truck Series" in 1996. In addition, the series' $580,000 purse is larger than the Busch Grand National Series' fund. While a new series, it garnered immediate support from many prominent Winston Cup Series team owners and drivers. Prominent Cup owners Richard Childress, Rick Hendrick, and Jack Roush owned truck teams, and top drivers such as Dale Earnhardt and Ernie Irvan also fielded SuperTrucks for others. The series also attracted the attention of drivers like sprint car racing star Sammy Swindell, Walker Evans of off-road racing fame, open-wheel veteran Mike Bliss, and Atlanta Falcons head coach Jerry Glanville. The inaugural race, the Skoal Bandit Copper World Classic at Phoenix International Raceway, was held on February 5; the race, featuring an event-record crowd of 38,000 spectators, concluded with eventual series champion Mike Skinner holding off Cup veteran Terry Labonte to win".

I won't bother... Aren't they essentially the same car, just different body styles? I'll just find a different car to nominate 👍

Edit: Found one, didn't pop up in the search function either, but I'll post it up for you to verify. @GranTurismo916

2003-2006 Chevrolet SSR
View attachment 431805
Body Style:
2-door convertible pickup
Engine: 6.0 L V8
Power Output: 395-400 HP
Torque: 400 lb-ft
Weight: 2,132 kg
Transmission: 4 speed automatic, 6 speed manual
Drivetrain: Front-Engined, Rear-wheel drive
Additional Info: Designed after Chevrolet pickups of the 40s-50s, the SSR (Super Sports Roadster) behaved more like a muscle car than a truck. The bed space wasn't much, due to the folding hardtop, and was only able to tow about 2,500 lbs. However, this was balanced out with a 7.7 second 0-60 time, thanks to sharing an engine with the Corvette and the Pontiac GTO.

Additional Information:

- Lotus Cars founder Colin Chapman uses this car to define his obsession with lightweight cars: "Simplify, then add lightness."

- Praised for it's handling, thanks to its excellent suspension work and mid-engine layout. This is Lotus we're talking about here.

- People were known to be stuck inside these: an issue all small Lotus' back in the day carry alongside average build quality. It's value as an antique today is reduced mainly because most people today, as with back in the day, will have a hard time fitting into it.

- The name "Europa" was made as a reference on how Lotus planned to sell this car only in the UK and nearby neighboring Europe countries. In Germany, however, it was called "Europe" due to Volkswagen owning the name's rights. The Twin-cam and Special models made it to the US, albeit in a limited quantity.

- Made as a successor to the Lotus 7. Succeeded and easily overshadowed by the more luxurious Lotus Esprit.

The Dart GT has already been polled (my first nomination for some reason) so I don't know if you just want to poll the models below the GT or just choose another car.
