Thank you fellas, I appreciate it. Here is my off duty holster for my Gen 4 Glock 35. Sorry the pictures aren't nearly as good quality, the HK P7 was taken by my Sergeant and is being used as his Facebook cover photo, these were taken by my $80 point and shoot.

After my gun training, I was almost deaf. Especially my right ear. Earmuffs? No, soldiers don't use them. :sly:
There were around twenty-seven AK-74's to the right of me and just two - to the left. So my right ear felt real *****y after this.

...and one mine, of course. :D
Wasn't really loud compared to many others to the right. I remember that I just tried to concentrate on controlling the recoil (which was less than I expected, because 5.45). But all my bullets hit the target. The distance was 300m as I remember.

WHAT? HUH? WHAT DID YOU SAY?

You in a couple of decades.

Reminds of the time in my early 20's when I forgot to pack my headset ear muffs. So, I had to stuff my ears with tissue paper. Over the course of the day, the left ear tissue paper fell out and I didn't realize it. Tissue paper in the ears do not provide good enough sound lowering.

My left ear was deaf for hours afterwards. Both ears were ringing like mad.

I've done the tissue thing once before, too. Also fired some without any protection, but no ringing or any effects. If I go deaf, it'd be from the loud Walkman(yes, cassettes!) headphones from when I was a kid!

I have a few questions for you guys that go to ranges frequently.

I've been wanting to go to another one but the first one I went to was owned by a friend of mine. (only been to that one and they didn't even show me any problems, paperwork ect.)

So..

Do you have to bring your own gun?
How much does it usually cost, do you have to pay for ammo after a base price or does it one price for all?
Is there a time limit to stay?

I've gone to just one on my own, and it's for a good reason. A lot of ranges around here forces you to buy their ammo.

One I go to:

  • Use the range all day for $18(ish).
  • Shoot your own ammo, or buy theirs(same goes for paper targets).
  • You can rent guns(I think your are supposed to call in to reserve though, you do shoot their ammo w/their guns).
It's a outdoor(w/roof structure to shoot in rain) range, it's crappy to be honest, but around here, you can't beat $18 to shoot all day, and shoot your cheap Walmart ammo.

-Depends on the range. Some rent guns, some don't. Usually a rental will be between $10-$50 to use not counting ammo. $50 will be if you want to shoot a machinegun or something.

-Shooting can be a fairly expensive sport. Each shot is anywhere from $0.10 to $1.50 depending on what you shoot. If you're looking to get into shooting on a budget, check out Mosin Nagants. You get a cheap (~$120) Russian surplus bolt action gun and you can buy surplus ammo by the truckload for cheap.

-Depends on the range. A range near where I live is really a gun shop with a test range. You can rent a gun for an hour or two for like $20 and pay for ammo yourself to shoot with. Most ranges where you bring your own gun will be like $10 per person for a day's of shooting.

What the hell was that little punk's problem in the first place?

They probably had a deep philosophical discussion about bending the space-time continuum and the ensuing time travel paradoxons.
Those discussions usually end like that.

Oh, jeez. Looks like he brought a steel pipe to a gun fight, but seriously, without his pistol, man's car would've ended up with a expensive body damage + he could've been seriously injured or worse. It is said in the States, most defensive scenario involving lawful firearms end with no shots fired. Media of course COMPLETELY ignore them & focus on the very few incidents where it took a wrong turn. I wish more people were smart enough to see past it.

Something funny...

Haha, I found that channel a few days ago. Oddly one of the people in the videos has another channel but he deleted the majority of the videos that contained his face. I was subscribed to it a long time ago before he deleted them. It was usually him just shooting some guns but he did some audio processing that makes it sound good on some speakers.
