This is the Glock 19 with the case and three magazines for $398. Seems like a pretty great deal.
Gen 3 with 2 mags goes for for $100 more than that. I wanna say that Gen 4 cost another $50 or so more on top of that.

Only another thing that makes me weary of getting the Gen 4 Glocks are the factory recall they supposedly issued for faulty recoil spring. Not a deal breaker, but if I was to buy one today, I'd buy the Gen 3 just for that reason.

Having said that, say I was offered a .45 ACP or .357 Sig(another caliber, because I already have the 9) for that kind of price, it would be hard to pass it up indeed. I'm sure there'll be couple more members who will have their take on this, and truth be told, I'm one of the least experienced of the bunch.

That is probably a pretty good price. You will not be able to get a Glock 19 for that price at H&H, Bass Pro Shops, Academy, or Outdoor America, at least not without any discounts. At any of those stores, you would be looking around $475 at the very low end, though I would guess closer to $525-$550 and maybe even nearer to $575. Not sure how many magazines Glock supplies with a new purchase, but magazines run around $30.

This is actually the LE/Military price at Outdoor America.

Considering the normal is probably $500 at the low end, getting $100 off, and I am guessing getting a free third magazine, that price is going to be tough to beat.

Have you checked to see what the LE/Military price would be at H&H?

.357 SIG is rather expensive and not all that common, you'd probably need a .40S&W barrel (+ spring) so you can shoot the .40 out of it.
And if you already have the nine stick with it, +p or hot 9x19's are very close to the .357SIG. 100 fp/s isn't that much of a difference.

Oh, and since we're talking about handguns: a few years ago a friend let me shoot his Russian Tokarev TT in 7.62x25 and wow, what an underrated gun! Feels very solid (Like a T34 tank!), its very slim ( I LOVE slim guns), points great and the 7.62x25 mm (9x19 necked down to 7.62) is a blast to shoot! 86 grains at 1580 fp/s with a head-sized fireball! No safety, chamber a round and you're ready to go!
Man I wish a had one now.... 👍

How do you guys feel about FNH? I haven't pulled the trigger so to speak on the Glock 19 yet.

FNH are quality. I WILL own an FN?-9, though I don't know if it will be P or X. They've got a new pistol, the FNS I believe it's called. Hammerless, striker fired just like Glock and S&W M&P. They're definitely worth looking into in that sub-$500 range.

Unbelievable. I was just gonna mention Icarus as soon as FNH came up.

I have seen that here. Looks like they go for $210 to $299, but they are so damn funny looking. Slim frame is definitely a plus though. 👍

What can I say, I love the FN line. Looks good, made in the USA, not overly expensive, reliable. Granted it's not Glock torture test stuff, but they're not junk.

Tokarevs are some interesting guns. I've seen a couple Eastern Bloc ones around. True Russian ones seem a bit hard to come by. I'd love to pick up a Makarov, simply for the novelty. They used to be super cheap, like $150 or so. Not a bad little pistol. comfortable in the hand, shoots good. Just have to deal with that 9x18 Makarov cartridge.

Guess what I brought home today. I'll try and get some better quality pictures up tomorrow if you guys are interested.

Gen 3 G19? If so, IMO, one of the best, and one of the most reliable handguns around for the price. It would've been the top choice for me, at least off the top of my head. 👍

I couldn't say no to it, after looking at Sig and FNH, I got the best deal here.

I can't wait for the next episode of Top Guns, it's an FN blowout! They're highlighting the F2000, and one of the sweetest guns I've ever held in my hand: the FN FiveSeven. I think there's also going to be a shotgun. Nice to see the FiveSeven get some love.

I'd hate to see what would happen to the fool who tries snatching her purse.
Something I wouldn't want to carry on duty at night? :sly:

Looks awesome, though.

I still remember the first time I saw a stainless finish B.B. Gun(where I'm from, they look like real guns), I thought it was BEAUTIFUL. But when I was teen or so, practical tactical logic made me want a black gun.

I consider Glock as my go-to weapon. But if I was to buy a .357, or .45ACP for fun, I want a shiny goddamn gun! They look badass.

S&W 4506. Dad bought it in '89.

It's a great gun to hold onto, since Smith and Wesson no longer make those models. Thier 1911 line is all the .45ACP metal frame pistols made. And no metal framed .40s either. Shame.

I don't know if I've ever seen the 4506 before. I love the looks of it. Much props! :D:tup:

Still getting the itch to go shoot my new one for the first time. Looks like weather won't permit this weekend.

Probably not the best idea at the moment to venture outside with the weather coming in at the moment. Looks like more stuff is heading in. Hopefully, more tornadoes will hold off.

Yeah, even our local radio news were talking about your lovely weather today.

I say go take it out, just be careful, and maybe you can film it for youtube? It will be the first Glock torture test involving tornadoes.

Bet they never had that test in mind. ;) Three warnings going on for Southwest Oklahoma at the current moment...tornadoes on ground. Scary part is, tomorrow is supposed to be twenty times worse than today.

Maybe you should've bought a .45ACP..... j/k I hope you guys stay safe. 👍

Little gun related story today: My buddy who also work for the same company, he had borrowed Beretta 92 with a silver(stainless?) slide from a semi-retied guy he works with. He wanted to sell the gun for $400, and this was supposed to be a test drive over this weekend. I was supposed to go shoot it with him tomorrow......... I just gotta call from him, and the owner of the gun, he was fired today(no pun intended).

I wonder if he'll come back for the Beretta? Probably. :P
