Looking for some gift ideas for the holidays?

Also the AK107 (look it up) is set to some out in the US civilian market. I'm definitely interested in it. I've been wanting to get into AK's for a while.

The balanced reciprocating mass is interesting. I'm sure the Russians made it mechanically sound. With a properly tuned comp the gun should hardly move at all in the hand.

Trivia: You guys know what it says on the back of a claymore? And why it's labeled in that way?

Doesn't it say "point this side towards enemy" or something? I assume that that's so the soldiers don't accidentaly blow themselves up.

Why it's labeled that way? Probably to make it crystal clear to every grunt which side sends the pain? Same reason AT4's have a "Hold like this, idiot" warning on them. Somebody pointed one backwards one day and made a lot of people very angry.

The back of a claymore said "DO NOT EAT". At least it used to. I found plenty of references to it, but no photographs. A billion photos of the business end of the mine, but almost none of the part that a user actually sees. The ones we trained with still had it (this was almost twenty years ago).

They were made that way because they looked amazingly similar to the C-rations that were being distributed at the time.

Obama hasn't really impressed anyone since he's become the President, except in one department: Firearm Sales.

That man is amazing. He can boost the economy, but only because he's about to destroy a industry. I started looking for high-cap magazines tonight(yeah, too late), and all the gun sites are just overwhelmed, and they are experiencing all sorts of glitches. When I do get through to the page I want, backorder, backorder, backorder.

Just last weekend, they were saying that Oregon background checks were backed up by about four hours. Repeat of the Black Friday thing, where shops were experiencing record gun sales.

President Obama should now threaten to destroy auto, leather, gaming, whatever industry that has haters. Maybe Mickey D's, too. Fix our economy by destroying it!

I just hope those Saiga-9 and AK-107/108 guns are still on their way.

I'm so afraid how much my next AR-10 magazine's going to be. I think Z-Man was right in recommending the PMAGs(Magpuls), but yeah, my peeps report limited availability everywhere locally.

Please, President. Threaten to ban American cars, next..... oh, wait. You'll put tax payers in debt before letting that happen.

I've never heard of GOA. What is the merit in joining them? How much?

I am so glad that I already got my AR. I went from looking at bolt-action to getting a AR, just for scenario like this. I wish I bought more PMAGs, but with how much I shoot, I should be alright for few years. If anyone see PMAG 20LR(.308) for sale, please let me know. I thought I found some yesterday, and it was airsoft knockoff, or sellers that didn't physically have them in stock.

David: Congrats on your new rifle. 👍 I like your dad's tactical Mini too, although I prefer that Mini 30 or whatever that fires AK rounds.

What is the deal with the longer waiting period? I wonder what they check in Maryland that Oregon doesn't?

GOA is another gun lobby/PAC. They're more like a political steering committee. They're not even a pube hair in size compared to the NRA, but they do good work and don't compromise for anything.

The speed at which Obastard is pushing this crap, I say it stands a good chance. A lot better than ever before. I hope not. It depends if the NRA caves in again, which is a strong possibility.

If the gun & accessory sales are indicative of what the American people are feeling, it is a panic rush before the many bans & controls to come. 👎

It looks like a new AWB or at least some sort of stricter regulation will pass. It's really going to come down to how many House Republicans would vote against either one.

I'll admit, just a few pages ago, I mentioned that I didn't think a new AWB or stricter gun control would happen even with Obama's reelection, but after this tragedy and political farce, I'm not so sure anymore. I'm seriously concerned about a possible ban, so much so that I'm looking to accelerate anticipated gun purchases to ensure that I could get what I want before everything gets banned.
