I think all the T10 servers are having issues, even FM6 was borderline unplayable online tonight, as I wait for the stores to open tomorrow and collect my copy.

This, me and a mate were playing co-op campaign on FH3 and the drivatars were going crazy haha, seems like all the new players playing the game are hitting the servers hard.

This is one area the PC may make a good difference. Curious however with this title how much faster the consoles are when using a SSD. Seen videos in the past for other games but would like to know with this title.
 
Forza Horizon 3 is officially released today so I wouldn't be surprised if the servers are having issues today due to a surge in the number of users. That also affects load times if you are connected to the internet.
 
So I was walking around a local mall and saw a Microsoft store. Usually it looks like any other store but this time it was fit with green lights and the rooms were rather dim. I entered the store and it felt good. Then I spotted a room on my leftside that says "Forza Horizon 3 launch day" so I entered and proceed to walk. Through a path. The walls were covered with the games scenery. The ground was with road textures. Again it was covered all in neon pink, green and blue lights. I walked and ended up in a small room with a table full of some kind of special editions. Shirts of playground and turn 10, steelcases of the game, bunch of scale models of the cars in the game...etc. then I saw on my left a path going further so I walked a bit until i started to see people from young kids to teenage guys walking around and entered a room. It was filled with people and appearantly a press was held couple hours ago. There was a projected that displays the game on the right and then on the left there was couple sets with thrustmaster wheels and forza horizon 3 on. I got the chance to play it so I jump right into it and started playing. I was enjoying myself and that feeling of FFB was pretty. I and some other guys near tried to do co-ops and we did couple of races. It was all fun. The atmosphere was amazing, the background music were playing some of the game'a soundtracks and it's really good. I was talking with other people and making new friends.

And then suddenly I woke up at the class during the break time...:mad:🤬

Even my dreams became all about FH3..

My girlfriend's Amazon UK order is saying the same, although Amazon have a tendency to say games will arrive late for launch to try and get you to buy Prime I think. They said the same for my copy of Disgaea 5 but it actually arrived on release.

I was very jealous until you said it was a dream, I think this game has been on my xbox every day since the demo came out :lol:

Do you have fast internet so you can download the 18gb demo to keep you going for 2 days now you have the xbox all set to go? 👍 Mine worked pretty well even all on wireless connections.:cheers:

By the time 18 GB is done the game is probably here. I'll wait it out and try not to look to much in here ;)

Surely they push their prime service but am not even tempted to get that. Simply need to be patient and maybe the postman surprises me (and Amazon) ;)
 
I had this Escalade sitting around that I put up on the Auction House like 5 times with no bites so I decided to start working on a drift tune for it. As dumb as it sounds it's actually turning out pretty good so far, just needs some more fine tuning.

Anyone having issues with not getting achievements? Didn't even realise, but I should have had some pop up for fully upgrading a festival site, opening the Yarra Valley location, selling via the auction house etc. but none have been awarded. The progress tracker for the achievements is frozen as well; I've covered 440+ roads, yet according to my Xbox, that's only 56%. :irked:
 
Finally managed to get a hold of a digital copy of this game. Microsoft is giving me a hard time lately... Also found a fix for the PC version, as well: Uninstalling Avast Antivirus. Strange that was causing it. Probably gonna have to look into why it was the culprit later.

With a 4690K OC'ed to 4.5 ghz and a OC'ed 1070, I expected a bit better performance. It stutters like mad. Setting it to Dynamic mode seems to help but it still stutters. I hope they push out a patch.


Also, anyone have a nice controller mapping where they have Shift Up mapped to A and Shift Down mapped to X?

Yep, I saw that video and did all I could. The only option now is go with 30 FPS, but I rather not go that far.

Not too sure about PC but on the Xbox One you can switch it to Default Layout 2 and then switch the Gear Up / Down menu.

Also I'm currently second on the leaderboard in the GT-R Drift Bucket List. :D

I think the verdict is that the stutters are related to decrypting the game files, and it is most evident when you try to run above 30fps if you don't have enough CPU power.

I'm running the game off an SSD, with an i7 6700k+GTX970 combo at 1080p unlocked frame rates and the settings tuned (mostly ultra, a few high) to get close to 60fps. I'm getting almost no stutters, so apparently my CPU is overkill enough to get round the problem, and the GPU really isn't the issue.
 
Planned a night in on this last night after picking up a One S. Once I'd done the update for the console, at 6.30pm I started to install the game - didn't take too long on my old Xbox so I thought I'd be ok for a couple of hours...

...it was still only 55% downloaded at midnight! No Forza for me then!

So I plan on going on it tonight instead. Quick question: I've seen people say that they've lost their save data for some reason - is there any way of checking where my save data is stored? Is it in the cloud, the hard drive or both? Thankfully the data and all the DLC/ car passes have transferred over correctly, so it's not an issue for now.

Apologies for the (probably stupid) question. I've been a PlayStation man up until recently, and I've seen some good advice on GTPlanet since I recently signed up. I think I'll stick around for a bit.

Does it seem to take advantage of all of the cores? In APEX, it seemed to only hit one or two of the four cores (i7) hard, barely touching the others. Maybe this is required to leave processing room for other things - who knows...

Horizon usually looks similar to Apex while racing: First and 4th cores pretty much 100%, other cores ~20-40%. I suspect the decryption is running on one of the two fully utilized cores.
