OK i'm happy with this, just knowing the rammers in little clans now have there toys taken away is enough for me, i was in a race other day and there was like 8 guys in hummers all gleefully ruining everyone race and laughing like a bunch of 12 year old girls, thats actually unfair on 12 year old girls...

Technically they still have a boatload of toys. They took away their slower toys, so now they're just going to use their faster toys to ram. It's really not much of a fix. Now they'll actually be able to catch you if you escape lol.
 
Just thinking, another thing that annoyed me about the leagues last night apart from the constant ramming from a few individuals was the utter idiots who continually shout random noises down their headset.

Imagine living next door to one of these trolls, being kept awake by the random screams of a cretin at 3am. At least we can mute them.

I was talking with someone about this the other day. There's nothing more annoying then hearing someone slurping through a straw, eating chips(or other foods), coughing constantly in the mic. I actually heard a guy arguing and cussing with his I assume girlfriend/wife about some bill. People need to learn how to mute there mics when they aren't chatting.

On my headphones, I can mute myself but can't mute others. The best way to do that is start a party chat of just yourself, right? That will mute the room your in?

It's ridiculous sometimes, fair enough talk on the menu screen when picking you car or a quick apology or compliment during a race etc but constantly screaming and making random noises is just ignorant.

I just mute people on the car select screen before the race starts. You can click on their username and there is an option to mute them.
 
The heavy breathers are the ones that really drive me nuts. On the pre-race screen, I tend to keep an eye on if my mic is being picked up or not, and will mute it if I know I have to do something not relating to the actual race.

At least noisy FM6 drivers have it easy: I'll just mute them. If I hear a mouth-breather in GTA V for more than about 30 seconds, I'll just put a bounty on their head. :lol:

This is what I do, completely cuts out all lobby chat, otherwise it's all quiet in the lobby but the second the race starts people are shouting, screaming, making all kinds of noises, occasionally there are some hilarious conversations going on in the lobby which would not be appropriate anywhere but on XBL :lol: but usually it's just a mess.

I don't use my headset because some of the things I call people when they ram me are plain vile :lol:

Had a guy in an MX-5 take me out deliberately in the new E-Class hopper, and I spent literally the whole race shouting at him and hurling insults at him. :P

usually when that ends up happening repeatedly, it's my car that ends up being hurled instead :lol:

If you do decide to take on this challenge, just remember that Turn 10's gonna keep adding new companies (I'd assume anyway). I mean, last pack gave us W Motors and Opel, and we got Terradyne and Caparo as well. Imagine the fun of reaching Level 25 Affinity with that Chryslus Rocket (What will it be branded as? Chryslus? Fallout 4?) :)
Actually....crud. That reminds me. Gotta rent Fallout 4 to get that car. Welp, I know what I'll be doing this weekend (assuming I don't get snowed in by this storm that'll slam us tomorrow).
If it helps any, I've decided to take this challenge as well. Doing pretty decent so far.

I do things like that. Set a big goal and then start to wonder if it's really worth it. In Horizon 2, I'm doing photo sets of every car in the game by type: Hypercar, Super Saloon, US Muscle, etc. It's taking me a lot longer to accomplish than I realized. But I'm still having fun with it so I keep going. But every once in a while, when it starts to feel a little tedious, I'll do something else for a couple days, just to cleanse the palette, as it were. But I always come back to the big goal, because it's my goal and I'm going to finish it.

Yeah I know it. I've been working on raising multiple affinities at one time, so I don't get burnt out on the same cars. Plus I've been racing cars I already have maxed. I will consider it a "long term" project. There's the Bowler, auto Union, brabham(hate that thing), bac mono, caterham, chaparral, Chrysler 300, donkervoort, eagle talon, eagle-weslake, Hennessey venom, hsv, hummer, x-bow, rally fighter, Lola, MG metro, noble, hurst Oldsmobile, radical, ram runner, rolls-royce, saleen s7, Scion tC, tesla, tvr, and ultima all have one car, plus the ones you mentioned. Some of those cars are a lot funner to drive then others. Then there's the ones with only 2-3 cars, this will be a fun challenge. Maybe by the time Forza 7 comes out?
 
I think a personal challenge like that can be fun in moderation. I don't know if I could manage max affinity, but lapping every car so far at Lime Rock has been fun. I'm over 350 now, and since I've been working from the slowest up, I don't really have many left, since I don't plan on running cars with multiple liveries (Formula E, Indycars, etc).

Eagle isn't too bad, since the Talon is an overall great car (granted it's an Eclipse clone, but eh...), but companies like HUMMER and Ram will have you lapping Daytona more than NASCAR does in a year (spanning across all 3 divisions of NASCAR that run Daytona).
 
I just pick a car from each brand and do a few laps stock on each rivals track until it's maxed.

Also the Underdog Challenge Micro Cars is BS, unless you use the Cooper. Took me 3 tries with the Beetle.

+edit Maxed out Abarth, Audi, BAC and Peugeot so far. Almost done W Motors.

Also realized Terradyne will never happen. Ever.

+edit I was way off on W Motors... Might finish Ferrari off tonight though.

Lots and lots of tedious laps on Daytona in Free Play. Trust me, it's boring.
Believe it or not, that was the 2nd brand I maxed out. First was Lamborghini (I really really love the Veneno).
 
I came across a new low in the C class ghost hopper yesterday. A fella in a Merc 190 can't ram me off the road of course, so what does he do?

I'm coming up behind him and he proceeds to start weaving wildly in the vain hope of putting me off spotting the next apex and maybe overshoot the turn

I'm a bit tired of Holden already. Why not add some Australian Ford Performance Vehicles like the Falcon, F6 Typhoon, and GT instead?
However, some more Opels would be nice. Maybe a 1994 Calibra with the DTM kits available.
 
Hopped back into single player after a while and started using manual without clutch. Might remap the buttons from X/B to LB/RB, but it feels better than the Auto I used since the start.

Finished the Grand Touring Volume today and had a very painful Bathurst 100 showcase yesterday.

I might look to fiddle around making liveries for the FE and Formula Mazda.
 
Bah, missed everything except the final two races. Hope they put the rest up for review after...
