Bah, missed everything except the final two races. Hope they put the rest up for review after...
It was kind of a joke, next time they need to have an online competition to see who gets to go, instead of anyone who wants to signing up. It wasn't very good driving at all.

The driving standards weren't helped when they decided to ditch Long Beach short (the only course they'd used up to that point) and instead held the final with Senna and Prost at Rio reverse... the full mountain layout, yeah.

One of the competitors who got knocked out in the heat races was a 12 year old who apparently couldn't find his brakes and was having a whale of a time, good on him

:( They still haven't changed free play so that if you're using XP/credit boosts you're eligible for a clean lap time, just ran a 15 lap Nordschleife + GP race in my R class Lancia with a load of boosts on, set a decent time but it's classed as dirty on the leaderboards because of the boosts.

On the topic of these Forza competitions, I've heard from one competitor about how the competition in LA was handled and it didn't sound good at all, they made all these top drivers qualify and then when it came down to the race to win the Ford Mustang, first they set up the race incorrectly and then it wasn't even down to which of the competitors was best at Forza. They were matched with a Ford racing driver... based on height , who had to complete half of the race and from what I've heard there was a big skill gap between these Ford racing drivers, so it really all fell down to who had a similar height to the best Ford driver at Forza.

Needless to say, their opinion on the event was that they wish they didn't waste their time qualifying.

Yes I hope they change that one. I'm always using exp boost or affinity boost mods. I haven't really done a lot of rivals either, so most of my times are dirty.(not that it would matter if they weren't )

I'm a bit tired of Holden already. Why not add some Australian Ford Performance Vehicles like the Falcon, F6 Typhoon, and GT instead?
However, some more Opels would be nice. Maybe a 1994 Calibra with the DTM kits available.

I have a vague feeling we'll see at least another Opel since the Kadett was added out of nowhere. The Manta GT/E for February and the Insignia OPC for March. Just guessing, but the Calibra is also a possibility. :)

Ran another race in the Can-Am Challenge last night at Catalunya full course. I was just about to finish first when some idiot who was sitting in the middle of the track just short of the finish line suddenly drove into me. Took me from first place to fourth place. What is wrong with people?

Bruno Senna and Nico Prost are doing their Forza 6/Formula E thing right now if you're interested...
I was going to go to that, was in process of booking tickets on phone but thought I'd book it later on laptop but forgot about it. :banghead:

Ended up going London today anyway so would have been ideal. Amazed that Jann managed to go from 8th to 3rd on the first semi-final race IIRC given how bad start of race was for him.

Gonna try and get the achievement for completing career and all showcases, gonna do one endurance race a day til it's done... Sucks almost all of the endurance races use the same damn cars.

They aren't that bad. Sebring is the longest. It's been awhile but I think it was 2 hours 45 minutes or so. Daytonas a longer one too. I found the Le Mans one the worst, I was getting tunnel vision racing at night. I kept myself awake trying to figure out the road marking system the French use, it's like morse code. A lot of the other endurance races can be done in an hour or a little over.

I finished the LeMans one last night actually haha.

It's less the length and more the fact that I'm already maxed out affinity for both Audi and Peugeot, so the remaining 3(?) prototype races I'll be using the exact same car for 6 hrs or so probably. The GT ones though should give me the option to max some out though.

I just realized the Indy cars don't come with both road course and speedway aero kits like they did in F5. Kind of disappointing.

The speedway aero kits wouldn't have been developed in time for the game, I'm surprised with what we got with the time frames they would've been running on.

Congrats @Doodle for the top time on Yas!

As for me, I managed to reach level 401 today besides finishing Abarth and Land Rover, and got the 25,000,000cr grand prize. Up to 106,000,000cr now.
:D:tup:
@prousonhairy what level are you now?
Damn you son, your going to make me race all the time to keep up with you.. I'm at 384, but I took a bit of a hiatus for several days this week playing just cause 3.

Spurred on by talk of records, I decided to attack S Class at Lime Rock again, in the Formula Mazda. Actually took it up to 800 PI this time, and after a dozen laps, I've got 14th in the Americas, and 56th in the world. I have no idea what I'm doing with tuning though, and my sectors aren't showing better than a 49.6 (currently sitting at 49.764). Still, it's a start.

We're going to have start calling you "The Wizard of Lime Rock", or some other fancy title, as good as your getting with that track. 👍

Alright, I'm in a bit of a dilemma here. For Holden, what car do you guys think I should use to reach level 25 affinity?
Also, just found this snippit of text in the most recent WIR entry:
We’ve had a couple new hoppers added to the multiplayer mix in Forza Motorsport 6. Recently we added a 1970s GP hopper and, on Thursday, we put up an E Class hopper, which means that we now have a class-based hopper for every class in Forza 6. In the words of Monty Pyton: “And there was much rejoicing…”

Now to bug the guys about a multi-class lobby…

I wouldn't go that far: the FM is a leaderboard vehicle, so it's the main reason I'm doing so well. :P

Out of curiosity, I grabbed the tune that @Doodle used and ran the same Rival event. I ended up 12th in the Americas in my first clean lap. While that sounds impressive, I'm a massive 2.8 seconds off his time. So, yeah, that happened.

To the fine people at Turn10:

Please program a One Make option in Free Play. I'm dying with 52(and counting) Austin Mini Cooper S '65s in my lock up.

We have a Micro Car event and it's not an option in Free Play. I'm building cars from E class to A class and it would be awesome if I could run them all together.

p.s. - I don't post on Twitter.

P.p.s - neither on Instagram. Help a brotha out.

Quick question, I can no longer see my breaking level UI bar when I'm in Free Race. Is that a known bug with he new build?

EDIT - Oh that's weird, it's just come back after not being their for other 5 circuits. That's odd!

EDIT X2 - And it's gone again! :)

Well having invested more time with Forza 6 since the Jan update................... this game is quite simply a masterpiece.
Even had an hour on online hoppers last night and it was fun now the remedial's in the tanks are banned.
But yes, masterpiece of gaming.

Are you talking about that red braking gauge down by the speedometer?

Hmm, very odd. I'm playing Free Race (Time Trial on my own) and the brake gauge seems to work once every 5 or so tracks.

This has been a bug for a while now (pre-Jan update), it happens occasionally in multiplayer as well but not as often as you're experiencing. Usually I don't even look at it but after one of my friends mentioned it I check every race.
