the tune with the Lotus was pretty good. I set a 2:05 at Road America. My fastest there with the car before was probably 2:06 or 2:07, I think I've learned a bit about shift though. The thing with Shift, is that using the controller I find it hard to use manual, so i stick with Automatic. But i still shift gears with the cars. Usually the Lotus has trouble shifting to the next gear because of how fast it revs. So upshifting is paramount to get out of the corners. The gearing you provided T-12 did ok, but the thing is that 5th gear seems a little long. And 4th gear seems a little short. Especially around the back end of the track before the long run through the trees. So I think a longer or taller 4th gear is needed because of the turn before that back straight. Other than that it was pretty good. The car has troubles if you turn in too much though, it likes to spin out, that problem hinders the Gumbert Apollo as well.

So, that's it ladies and gentlemen - Renown Tuning has reached the end of it's business practice. It's been a pleasure, and I look forward to continuing the namesake in other racing games.

Are you serious? I'm not closing this thread, all the hard work I put into this place - please.

I just won't be taking requests as often, or filling them as often. About 2 or 3 a week.

I did my first full tune from scratch last night...Camaro. A brilliant 10 sec slower than T12's :grumpy:

Hey, hey, no triple posting in my thread! :P

On a serious note, tuning isn't something you'll become skilled at from reading a book (of any kind, If I'm to be perfectly honest) sure, it will help you to understand what every adjustment does, and over time you'll learn how each of those adjustments affect one another. It will help to reinforce the assessment of any possible problems because you'll know what does what, and how much of "that" each adjustment adheres to. The only way (real way) you'll become skilled is by feeling the problem.

It takes a bit of time, but when you're able to pinpoint that the problem is either too much or too little caster, too much or too little of a toe angle...then you're progressing.

Don't start with something that has an unstable rear end, you'll never get anywhere because you'll wind up addressing the wrong problems over and over again.

I use your tunings for a basis and then try to sort out my driving style with further tweaks. Shift is a little off but at least we have your base tunes for every vehicle in the game. All we can do from there is base our own tunes off of your's. Thanks T-12, hope to race with you online soon, if you can!

Heh, yeah I was trying to be kind to shift, but i know as well as you do that it's definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed. So whats up with the times from the final round of your WTC?

Did you check previous times from that Thread? Did you match or beat any of them ? Because i can't. This competition is so far ahead now, that i doubt in any chances to beat those guys of even compete with them.

Hey, practice makes perfect. I haven't a wheel but I'm only a couple seconds off the top times with the controller on some tracks, just haveta keep at it!

Would you have any tunes for the 1967 Corvette with a 10 rating? Thanks.

You can use the current tune and just work around to a 10-rating, or as close as you can possibly get.

Many Thanks to mr. Terronium 12 for providing the base tune
for this great car , many similarities to the original tune mostly scaled back to fit into the 10.00 car class.
CAUTION:
This tune is not for everyone, it takes practice, then maybe some more practice. I have road tested this car extensively . quite simply it rocks the 10.00 car class.
warmest regards : the invisible mechanic.

ps ; 17 inch rims front
19 inch rims rear

:)👍

Or, you could use the tune Nitro put up that I've probably been hosting all this time and forgot about it.

And, yes, I am extremely late in responding to this. :dopey:

Don't worry people, I haven't forgotten about this thread. Just been up to my neck with Forza lately...but I'll stock two or three tunes before the week is done.

i love the tune for the veyron but my 3 favs are the supra drift, the lambo lp640 works, and the skyline r34 teronium-12 you are a legend and if you have a ps3 add me this is my ps3 name

hi everyone i'm new to this forum, you are doing a great job with these settings so i'm askin if u can help me with a good tune for autopolis in 10,00 category.
my best time is still 1.53 not particualry competitive for time attack races, i need something 2 seconds quicker.. autopolis gp needs great stability on turns and a great overall balance.. i got an audi r8, which have a nice grip but it's not so fast on straights, a shelby gt-500 with some bouncing issues and the 67 stingray which is not the easiest car to setup for autopolis..
if you already got a good car for that track just link it here, i just need a 1.51 car.. i can sell mine :) (i'm on gamepad)

thanks in advance

Hello, HKS, and welcome to GTPlanet.

I realize English is probably not your first language, but please try to use proper capital letters and punctuation. The first letter of each sentence, the word 'I', and the first letter of proper names (like Audi).

It really makes reading easier. Thanks.

Same as above, especially for someone living in England.

Hey, HKS- Try to use the Evo IX works tuned. It's an easy to control car, the only thing that needs work in the tuning of the gears to reach a higher top speed on the straights. I suggest shortening the first 3 gears and lengthening 4th a bit and make 5th a bit shorter so that 6th is in the rev range of the engine's power.

I will try that, but Evo IX doesn't have a works convertion, probably you mean to install everything (9,80 level) I got an Evo in my garage but now it's too much oversteering for top speed/long turns tracks, can You share your setup please? It will be much appreciated.
Yesterday I was trying an R34, it's a nice car for 10,00 I made 1,21,408 at Willow Springs GP but there are still some oversteer issues, I would like to remove it completely without loosing performances, but that's the tricky part. Anyway thanks for the answer

Yeah I meant that the Evo IX with every upgrade, should be about as close as you can get to 10 rated. It's my car to use for 10 rate. I usually turn down the steering sensitivity or steering lock and increase caster angle just slightly. Try fooling around with the toe angles too. My evo isn't the fastest but it's quick enough and handles fine. Usually online there are guys who choose the same car and go for higher top speed, but I keep it down and focus on handling and stability, they overcook it into turns and I drive away.

I've noticed some improvements at Autopolis Gp track, now my Evo IX can run in 1.52.6 (with Nos) and my Audi R8 in 1.52.1 (without) it's a shame that R8 doesn't support Nos, it's a very stable car.
I'm trying to polsih Evo setup reducing oversteer, but the car still need some work, I feel I'm loosing time in third sector where maxum balance it's required, the main problem is that I'm not able to transfer ALL the power to the rear wheels, (still some spin) and this is slowing me down in fast turns

A couple of tunes will be posted later on today.

Update: I ran into a couple of problems today, er, yesterday...but I'll definitely upload those tunes today (Monday, for those of you possibly confused :P) and the tunes are for the Civic Si, and two other cars I can't remember right now.

Look out for them today!

I'm not sure what my times are for the Evo at Autopolis, but it's one of my best and favorite tracks on the game. I'm sure I've broke the 1:50's with the evo IX there, I don't use NOS at all on any of my cars.

A little later than I would have liked, but the tunes are still on the way...

if your car is capable to run in 1:50 You could post the settings here.. or somewhere else in the forum, it sounds exactly what I'm looking for 👍 👍 👍
