The INFAMOUS oversteer drift mod 2.11 has been released now with grip tyres for touge and time attack action. Totally reworked cars, new scratch built cockpits, new physics, new everything. 3 new scratch build cars are in WIP (FC rx7 & A31 ceffy from Fangio and r32 skyline from Shalna, and the FSR FD rx7 coming soon too) and a lot of other changes and fixes are in the pipeline which will be coming soon.

corvette 3.0 mod. 2.0 is out and 3.0 is supposed to be much better, but it's yet to be released. it includes the corvette c6 and the ZO6.

Which is a very decent video card (nVidia) to play the Historic GT mod and power&glory mod with a steady 60fps at 1920x1200?

nVidia geForce 560, dual core 2.7Ghz
2gig ram

i haven't checked framerates, but i was running w/ 32 cars on the nurburgring 1280x1024 w/ level 3 graphics (i'm not sure what AA and AF settings that is) just fine. I don't get under 75 fps in LFS w/ 4xAA and 16xAF w/ 20 AI on southcity. I've got an e8400, ATi 4850, 4 gigs ram, and 640 gig hard drive. this system eats everything up except Crysis.

I must say that the Corsica track is quite a lot of fun. Perhaps my favorite addon track of them all, especially combined with the American Muscle mod.

That's "Singapore Day 1.10." I haven't downloaded it yet, but it's the best representation of the Singapore F1 course as well as being able to race it at night. The issue I've had with night racing in rFactor is that the game slows down incredulously. I think you go down to about 15 FPS or something when it's dark. So I'm not sure if you'll get to enjoy racing against many more cars with this track. I'd be inclined to perhaps race the Sports Car Challenge around these streets for a little American Le Mans-style action around the streets of Singapore.

Anyone ever tried this deal out?

I've been thinking of getting RFactor for christmas later this year. I've tried the demo, which I liked even though I'm a crap driver. :sly: And I want to know which mods feature the Carrera GT. This mod will have it, but are there any others?

I got my copy of rFactor very late in 2006 (a day before New Year's Eve). Haven't plated it since my sound card trouble earlier this year and in doing a system restore. However, rFactor is a good game. It only gets better with add-ons. Trust me.

Something has gotten me back into doing rFactor for painting up cars as well as downloading the popular Grand Prix '79 mod. I saw a YouTube video that kind of inspired me to check out the GP79 mod. I had in mind of past F1 teams like Footwork and Ligier. A video I heard described the Matra-powered Ligier F1 car in 1978 in a lovely way- "it just sounded like power." The thing I fear about mods of classic cars is that the cars are much tougher to handle than most modern cars.

I'll give it some thought to try out Grand Prix '79. I am also thinking of what kind of car I can work on to paint up my own way.

Hello,

I've played F1:CE on PS3 a lot, I love F1 and I think that game is awsome. Is rFactor something I should get for playing F1? It seems to be great graphics and great sound and it would be possible to play not just 2008 season but earlier seasons as well? and I'm under the impression it is a great sim racer. Is it good for singleplayer world championships and career mode and such? Should I get this game?

There is rFactor 2 coming out.. sometime in Spring.. So maybe just wait?

rFactor only has one F1 car.. it's the BMW... and rest is made up F1s...
There are mods for F1.. I never play it but has good reviews..
I think right now rFactor is 30 bucks.. graphics are not as good... and sound is not as good ... but it's worth a while because there are hundreds of FREE mods to DL. So yeah get it now.. DL the latest F1 mod.. and have fun!

First video is awesomeness, but I don't trust because any edited video makes you believe its the ultimate. 2nd video shows you raw footage of the game, and it does look impressive. I never DL the F1 mods since I am not too big on F1 car games.

But just buy rFactor. It will keep you buisy. And all mods are free, if you dont like the F1 mod, you can always DL other mods. Nothing to loose.

Make sure you have AA and AF all the way up too. I just took these 3 screenshots, they are unedited, but some quality was lost going from bmp to jpg.
