That 1998 mod is very fun but it's so so difficult, even the 79's are easier!

hehe its not so bad :D for Senna's car, i jus raised the rideheight a bit and softened the rear suspension and lowered the front wing downforce :). I i dont really know much about tuning, but i think that helped dial out some of the oversteer. Also, i had to change my driving style a bit. I wasn't steering in aggressively enough, but once i started doing that and carrying more speed into the corners, i could feel the limit much better. the car is alot of fun to drive around suzuka and fuji :D. Iwas literally laughing my 1st few laps around suzuka because the car feels so lively.

you have to pay close attention to how the weight of the car is shifting around. make the car oversteer and understeer slightly ON YOUR OWN when appropriate, rather than just letting it happen to you.

"HDR" plugin for rfactor and other games
This comes from virtualIR.

if you visit this webpage http://boris-vorontsov.narod.ru/download_en.htm

you can download a plugin that can emulate HDR all you need to do is download san andreas HDR http://boris-vorontsov.narod.ru/download_en.htm put it in rFactor directory and then
when playing pressing shift+F12 to activate HDR

the file enbseries.ini can tweaked to your own liking because default settings have too much exposure

be sure to backup d3d9.dll before trying HDR plugin

be aware that there is huge FPS hit when running the HDR plugin

so its safe to assume that rfactor is better than GTR2? ill be getting a wheel soon so im still researching what racingsim would best suit me for a purchase.

from the looks of it, its going to be rfactor

Ive had rfactor a matter of days and yes in my eyes its better than GTR2. Online GTR2 was better but overall Rfactor is better. But then its all on your tastes.

rfactor has more user created content available. other than that I think until you try them both and decide which one feels better to you and is more fun for you i don't think you can make that assumption.

i've seen 55 and 79, but i think 1960's is still WIP. there were 1 or 2 1960's mods released illegally by 1 guy, but the physics werent very good. the car was WAY too fast lol. way too grippy.

search rfactorcentral or rscnet for mods and tracks. here's 2 that are still WIP. hopefully the physics are good for them.
1961 and 1967

 55, 79, wip 67 along with the current f1's is enough reason to get this. but then again, i stumbled onto these videos

From what I've been reading a lot, developers of mods kind of hook up with real race teams and cars to try to share data to help make the cars authentic in performance. I think back to how three guys from the Live for Speed team can get in the BMW Sauber F1 car. My best guess is that the people behind these mods try to gather real-world data from cars by viewing telemetry and stuff to make the cars perform the way that they normally do on the track.

I played some of my mods last night for rFactor. I STILL haven't upgraded to that 1.255F version or whatever it's called.

Watching this video, it makes me miss GTL so much. :(

I sold it when I sold my pc 2 years ago. rFactor seems to be 👍.

An rFactor for the PS3 please.

Buy it again dude, I just ordered a copy for 150 SEK (about €14)

Read my post again, dude ;).

I said that I SOLD my pc 2 years ago. Why should I buy GTL (a pc game) if I don't have a computer to play it on.

By the way, this is my father's computer with a very weak videocard.

;)

here's a new vid of the mod. it is still in development. they use gtl models iirc, but they are redoing the physics to be more realistic since alot of stuff was off. 👍 you need a gtl CD in order to play it, heh.

Hah, sorry. I though you meant that you bought a Mac or something.
