You people who say street racing is fine because it didn't kill you are morons. As if your stupid ass still plaguing this planet proves anything other than your stupid ass is still plaguing this planet.
I see idiots in their little toy rice cars, zipping in and out of traffic with no consideration for any other vehicle on the road... you know, the vehicles containing other people that can die. When you are going 80 mph on a crowded highway, a lot can happen before you will be able to react.
Another observation is how no matter how fast traffic is moving, rice has to go faster. I'm perfectly happy going 75 on the freeway. But the crappy little Civic has to go 80. NEWSFLASH: That proves nothing. Any piece of crap can go 80 miles an hour. When you can take a tight slolom or chicane at 120+ I might be impressed.
If you wanna street race I can only wish you kill yourself before you kill someone else. You obviously don't have much to live for, and don't care about anything. You are pathetic.
But I will say this... I have a baseball bat in my back seat waiting for any stupid bastard who ever comes close to endangering me, my family, or my car. And I'm not alone.

If you're talking about street racing you are an idiot too.
The streets are for transportation. Period. Race where only you are endangered... in the middle of nowhere or on a track.
Don't you understand you can kill people? I can't believe how ignorant and stupid people are. It's like you have no sould or something. Truly scary.
Racing is great where it belongs. Racing on streets where moms and driving to the store with babies and regular people are just going to and from work or wherever, not looking out for the 80 mph idiot on the 45 mph road, is totally self absorbed and bad.
Get a hobby that doesn't endanger me. I'll open my mind.

That's all well and good if we were discussing modern art vs. classical or soccer vs. American football or chocolate vs. peanut butter. That's fine and I rarely bust on someone for their opinion on something like that.Originally posted by askia47
First of all, it is his opinion, so you shouldn't kill him on it.
Remember, some one will have different issues on subjects and you have yours and street has his. plain and simple no matter the subject.

Ok Ok ok. I can tell that my veiws aren't really respected here so I'm not even going to try and share them with you. If most of you are going to be jerks about it and not discuss something well then I'm outta here.

I'm perfectly willing to discuss it. However, I refuse to 'respect' the 'opinion' of someone who thinks it's his right to go race an public thoroughfares, and endanger innocent bystanders (no matter how controlled he'd like to believe the situation is), just because he enjoys it and he "can't help himself".Originally posted by streetracer780

If you were a heroin addict, I'd say "well, I think you're making a poor choice, but I respect your right to make it." You'd only be endangering your health. But this way you are endangering my health, without my consent.

It's generally accepted around here that sr780 is not much more than a lying pre-teen. He says lots of things about which he knows just enough to start an argument. I usually ignore him.
Streetracing is illegal; that is why it's "bad". Therefore, legally, it shouldn't be done under any circumstances. Unfortunately, it has been a pasttime of teenagers for more than 50 years. Teenagers are idiots. I know because I once was one. Teenagers think that 10-15 years of conscious memories are grounds for making important decisions (or for driving). They're wrong. Not only do statistics prove this, but casual conversation with your average college student will show that people generally don't begin mature until 30. Or even later. At 16, there's a long way to go.
What do I think of streetracing? Unless you're in the middle of nowhere, have physically blocked off the entire route, and have someone on the sidelines dedicated to calling 911 in an emergency, you'll have me shaking my fist and calling 911 myself. Get the f#ck off the street you god-damned a$$-munching mother-f#ckers.
And, uh, rice is lame, in all its forms. At least it's not illegal. (That's the "free" in "free America").

"My car looks cool!"
"Your car looks like ****, let me fix it with this sledgehammer."
Anyone who hates rice, that's fine; don't put it on your car. But respect the opinions of others. [/B]
