What's better, rice rockets or muscle cars?
In my opinion, muscle cars and domestics are better in racing. They handle better with the right settings and are generaly faster than your average rice rocket. Also in rallying, the american made Focus can smoke all those ricerally cars.:D

Tell me. what's better, ugly fat women, or sexy women who are all over you?!

Anyone who knows anything about cars, and doesn't think they're an expert because their uncle is, knows that no riced car is something fast or even remotely not slow. Now, back to buying the computer chip for my plymouth superbird in GT2 despite the fact that that car has no computer!!!

REALISM!!!

i fail to see the interest in muscle cars, i'm a nissan fan through and through, don't think it would be rice to the extent where i am modding the damn thing with huge sund woofers and stickers about what kind of steering wheel i have.

whats the diff??? everyone likes different things, each has its own place. Muscle cars are not all that in gt2. I like both, old camaros and vettes gt40 old TA, Chevelles even mustangs. But its hard to beat an integra or an impreza.Alot of these so called rice rockets are assembled right in the good ol USA and Canada. Its really a subjective thing. Its like Music some like classical some like heavy metal, its all the same to me!!!

Cough, the focus WRC has got nothing to do with america, it is engineered and built in europe (probably england), which goes for most of the WRC teams anyway. Same goes for the escort rally car and RS200.

As for the ricerally cars, they are built in Europe also for example prodrive in england make the Impreza and Ralliart somewhere in Europe.

As for rice, I don't see any in GT2 becauase I thought rice mean cars with all show and no go and that can include cars from all around the world.

As I view it Japan has nice cars, America has nice cars, Europe has nice cars, Australia has nice cars and even Korea has a few nice ones. They all have their bad points and their good points, some may be faster than others, wheras some may handle briliantly. I try to keep an open view on these things so I tend to not care where the car comes from. I just see the bad points and the good.

For god's sake they build the Civic Type R in England!

I prefer domestic rice; it just tastes better when it has approval from the USDA.

Oh, you meant cars! Look, there's been a thousand threads on whether imports or domestics are better; the answer can't be solved by a video game.

Recall that the game was originally created in Japan for a Japanese audience. However, to them, a Plymouth is an import car, whereas a Nissan is a domestic.

Said argument is null and void.

What DO you refer to as rice? Asian Imports you mean? You seem to be from the group who is against asian imports, IMO. But that's fine with me. I am a little offended by the way you said that...."rice rockets."

I'm a big auto enthusiast and I KNOW that every car has their own strong points. I happen to be asian but that doesn't mean that I should hate on USDM vehicles, I'm not saying that you said this but I'm just saying. My favorite muscle car would be the C5 Z06 Vett. My favorite asian import is the Subaru Impreza WRX STi/STi Ver.6 etc..

What IS rice to you? In my auto vocab I don't have the term "rice" in there because to me, it's just stupid. There are like 2 differences of rice. Some people refer asian imports to as "rice" while others refer vehilces that has like altezzas, big wings, stickers, 5" exhaust tip, etc. to as "rice." I do get a little offended by people who use this term on asian imports, because I'm asian (AZN?).

That's all....have fun!

Ok, in another thread, you are talking about how much you hate this game, but now you are playing it?? WTF?

Drive an actual muscle car.

Well, some race mods on asian cars make them look riced out. And sadly, the Camaro SS '97 looks riced out in its race mod costume:( . Anyways, as long as its not riced out, i'll drive it whether its import or domestic.

Im azn and im against rice, is that right?

like I said....Some people refer asian imports to as "rice" ... I do get a little offended by people who use this term specifically on asian imports, ....

see? It just depends how you use the term. ;)

EDIT: Now the race mods. You see....in the game, it's a race car and those cars are the cars people are trying to replicate.

I use the term 'rice' on both american and other import cars. My definition of rice is unnecessary body work on a car that makes it look outrageous and more ugly than it deserves to be. My other definition of rice is adding useless parts to mechanical components, such as fart cans, which make a car seem 'fast' and high-horsepowered, but in reality the car is little more than just a few horses. My final definition of rice is trying to impress others with the 'look' of your car, with nothing to back it up under the hood. I dont know why I use the term rice, maybe because rice boys frequently pull up beside my vette and rev their engines sounding like annoying bees. Cmon, my attractive vette isnt a beehive............

you could buy a chip? my gt40 isnt able to, i cant even buy brakes and brakes controller, it is race modded but that shouldnt matter, the only thing i could do is give it a na tune up/

And who's forcing you to keep the CAPS LOCK key down?

This thread needs a lock. Take Japan vs. World threads to the Auto secion, where it too, can receive rolling eyes.

ahhhh my head. rice rocket or muscle. are you stupid. so your comparing the worst imports with the best domestics. its not rice rockets vs muscle its imports vs domestic. im a car fan. i like evos, i like cobras. i like supras i like the ws6. although i am fully more of a import fan thats just my bag. i feel imports have a better style. that and there more modern. ohhhh yes blowers are nice. yes chargers can go in a straght line fast. blah blah blah a skyline can also whats the big deal. your cuda might be good at the straights but american cars usually cant turn for shi)t. usualy. the rally focus and gt40 are nice butttttt in turns imports have the upper hand. they turn better. they have a better suspention. there better to drift in (not a fact just my opition.). that and imports to me are better to custimise. you have all the tuning chooses. can change the body kit. you can tune your turbo, you can fiddle with your suspention. you have more gadgets like timers and boost gauge. imports or domestics. i dont care. its just what your into.

I agree with you! I thinK "ricer" and all that rubbish is offensive, because they always refer to Japanese cars as rice rockets. They wont be saying that when their rusty old '86 Olds Cutlass has fallen to bits for the fiftieth time, and the fact that any Japanese car will be still running sweetly!
I for one dont favour muscle cars on GT2,. They are fat and bloated, and they understeer like no 2morrow, and when i try to nail it out of a bend they spin!! The olny good "muscle cars " (US cars from 60's and 70's) are the Corvette's and the '69 Camaro

So Cosworth and Saleen are rice-boys? Or does it only go for Japanese bodykits, like Makinen's?
Bodykits were created to direct air.

no, i'm calling the cars like the un-sublty- done up Saxos and Corsas with lurid paint etc ricers - bodykit should be subtle like on Saleen cars
