,, more to come later,,,

im glad someone is making bike games too, but it would be nice if someone was doing it decent!
In my opinion, their games are decent and for the most part pretty solid. However, they aren't that impressive on a technical level - be it bugs, glitches, optimization and overall performance.

I don't think there is one, I'm using the share button on PS4 due to a lack of actual photo taking buttons.
Wait, so there's no way to save your pictures when in photomode at all (in the PS3 version) although all of their previous games since WRC3 had the feature implemented? I'd assume it's due to the PC and/or PS4 being the lead platform?

:odd:

Edit :

Another update on the patch ;

Also anyone have problems with the track being too wide? Its something Alan from TeamVVV on youtube kept moaning about whilst also pointing out he's rubbish because its literally his first go on the game like on every other video he does, Yea nice try i use to pull that one when ever i got beat by my mates.
 True. "I'm just getting the hang of this game, checking where my braking points are and trying different lines through corners". I've heard him say that in a dozen videos so far. To be fair to him he is always one of the first to play these racers though.

As for the game, i still kept my copy of TT from back in the day even though i don't own a PS2 anymore. Maybe i'll wait until all the bugs are ironed out and the price drops to pick this up on Steam.

That's great info MxHyland
I can progress through world tour mode as long as I don't do any championships.
Fair enough.

When I get home later I'll test the theory.....

Nice pics smuttysy, it's not fair, cos on your game, your character actually holds the handlebars, whereas on mine his hands hang just below them.......

:dopey:👍

I get a few really annoying things that ruin photos and videos, like tyres that aren't in contact with the road an parts that can be installed but have no visible presence. One of the Triumphs even remove the handlebars completely when you fit any of the aftermarket exhausts, and even leaves the glass of the mirrors and indicators floating in the air.

Also the foot positioning is such that there's no way either foot touches the levers, not a big problem, just a little bit annoying really.

First thing I did was select the Imola Head-to-Head in World Tour.

During the auto-drive, the CPU bike crashes into my bike and sends himself off, allowing me to calmly drive through. When the race begins, I'm a good three seconds ahead of the CPU, so get an instant gold medal with about 1'34 on the clock despite not doing anything at all.

So...about that QC testing...

/Still on the demo waiting for my copy to come in the mail, and then I broke everything...

Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov has Flight of the Bumblebee, Ride wanted to have Flight of the Honda CBR600RR.

Unfortunately they didn't have an English comedian inside a piano, so they couldn't quite replicate it. And the back wheel didn't want to, either. It simply hovered like all the other wheels do in this game.

Had a close finish after a surprisingly good battle between me, the BMW pictured, a Panigale, and an Aprilia. Finish was me winning by 0.034 seconds.

I've been making a spreadsheet of the stats of the fully tuned bikes I have. The "performance rating" is the averaged score of the acceleration, braking, top speed and handling stats. Anything over 8.0 is usually a really good bike, though obviously this isn't foolproof, same for anything marked with a power to weight ratio of more than 1:1

The biggest help though should be the drag times, will certainly help in your purchase decisions for certain disciplines. All drags were performed with TCS and Wheelie assists switched on, in order to remove as much personal skills as possible from the run, so it reflects the bike more than my own personal ability.

I will probably add some notes at some point, but this is good enough for now,,,

Thanks for the good advice by the way.

I've been happily playing for the last few days but making sure I do not do the championship races and the data has not corrupted once so far.
Obviously I'd like to get those championships done, but I'm happy just to b climbing the career ladder without getting reset to zero every time I boot RIDE.

I'll go try that SRAD now.....

:irked:👍

The Historic superbikes i think are by far the most fun.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/news/news-20845-RIDE-Shifted-into-Late-June.html

Namco Bandai and Milestone have announced yet another delay for its two-wheeled racer RIDE, with the release date now moving into June, following an initial delay into mid-April and subsequent push into May.

RIDE features four different two-wheeled racing disciplines, including over 100 Superbikes, Supersports, Naked and Historical bikes for motorcycling enthusiasts to race. Extensive vehicle and ride customisation is also promised, with an array of options "to keep gameplay fresh and exhilirating".

You'll be able to saddle up when RIDE launches for Xbox One, PS4 and PC digitally and at retail, as well as digital only for Xbox 360 and PS3 on 23rd June 2015. Fingers crossed it doesn't get delayed again before then.

Perfectly understandable based on early impressions in this very thread. I'll only mind if it's still a buggy mess of a game once it arrives.

I absolutely love Circuito de Almeria and Magny-Cours in this game. I hope we'll see more of the former in other games.

Nice shots @MXHyland now you have had more time with the game, have your opinions evolved much more on Ride?
Is it a worthy successor to TT?

I presume that we still do not have any more advanced controls like a true Photo Mode?

while i may not be MXHyland. I can say this; the game is good but in terms of bike and track variety TT has far more. The fictional track are far more enjoyable. This is in part due to either the field of view or modeling the real tracks in such a way that they are really narrow. The handling is alright and the customisation is good. however you need to remove the mirrors as they are dreadful. I would had also liked to see race modifications for the 600s as the only proper race bikes are for 1000cc.

With the corrupted save games on my mind I already barely touched the game but yesterday I finished the lightweight naked bike class and corrupted my save :( Still got the bikes and money luckily. Didn't bought any bikes other than the one or two I needed. So went on a shopping spree
